Author’s Note

Music has played such an important role in
my life, getting me through the bad times, adding to the good
times. Music is powerful.

Have you ever heard a song that just did it
for you? One that stopped you in your tracks and grabbed your soul?
I have, and it is the basis for Frey and Abbi’s story. I had heard
“Shatter Me” by Lindsey Stirling probably a hundred times. I love
the song, and I put it on repeat often. Lzzy Hale’s voice along
with the haunting lyrics and powerful violin grabbed me one day. I
stopped what I was doing, listened to the song, and sobbed.

Once I regained my composure, I went to the
computer and wrote the Prologue for Frey. I hope you take time to
listen to the song that still gives me chills.

Author

Faith Gibson lives outside
Nashville, Tennessee with the love of her life, and her two-legged
best friends. She began writing in high school and over the years,
penned many stories and poems. When her dreams continued to get
crazier than the one before, she decided to keep a dream journal.
Many of these night-time escapades have led to a line, a chapter,
and even a complete story.

When asked what her purpose in life is, she
will say to entertain the masses. Even if it’s one person at a
time. When Faith isn’t hard at work on her next story, she can be
found playing trivia while enjoying craft beer, reading, or riding
her Harley.
