The songs listed below are both personal favorites and inspirational tracks that I played on a constant loop while writing The Back-up Series. I’m sure it’s not a revelation to hear that I adore music, especially classic and modern rock. I did write a book about a rock band, after all. These songs helped set my tone, helped create my moods, helped inspire me. Every Avenue has a special place in my heart. If Devil’s Lair were real, this is what they would sound like. Bayou Stix is steadily topping the charts. Their onstage presence, chemistry with fans, and God given talent have made this rock band, based out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a household name. 

Jude Delecroix, Lead Singer, Jessie Adams- Lead Guitarist, Liam Christianson- Rhythm Guitarist, Dade Rodriguez- Bass Guitarist, and Cruz Ellings- Drummer are selling albums, traveling the country, front-runners on Billboard, and have big plans for the future.

A brand new endeavor will be put into play in 2014 as Bayou Stix breaks into arena tours.

It’s a miracle my family hasn’t murdered me. It was hard on them the first time around when I set out and started writing Back-up. The difference was I really wasn’t taking it very seriously. It was something I wanted to do, but I had no expectations whatsoever. I’d write at night, after dinner, after homework, after the dishes were done. Writing Back-up really didn’t cause any disruption to my family…sort of.

             
Front & Center caused complete and total neglect. I now had expectations. I now had a vision, a goal, a dream. Throw in social media and all it’s demands. Throw in the obsession to finish a novel and publish it sooner rather than later to appease my readers. Throw in a husband and two teenage boys who barely saw their wife and mother. Throw in an author with tremendous guilt…you get an accurate glimpse of what my life was like these past few months.

             
That being said, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. I want to thank my best friend, my husband. You have been nothing but supportive throughout this entire process. You encourage me. You make me laugh. You watch me cry (while rolling your eyes). You are the best. I love you J.D.

              My boys. My loud, passionate, raging-with-hormones, teenage boys. You guys have been super supportive with my project. Thanks for understanding. Thanks for accepting. Thanks for being the best things that have happened to me. Love you guys so much.

I have met the best people in this industry, and most of them are Bloggers. An indie-author is as good as her exposure.
