I gaze around the office and note it is
extremely modern and expensive, ‘is this your office?’

‘Yes. You have never really asked me about
my work,’ he notes.

‘It wasn’t your work I was after,’ I glance
over at him as he walks towards me.

‘Well, I am interested in everything about
you Lucy.’

I regard him for a moment as I attempt to
calm my fluttering insides.

‘Cat got your tongue?’ he muses, ‘I haven’t
finished with you yet,’ he moves us over to the desk where he sits in his chair
and pulls me to sit in front of him on the edge of the desk, ‘I have fantasized
about fucking you over my desk,’ he mutters seductively perfectly aware of how
his words affect me, his eyes darken as I suck in a breathe.

‘I best not disappoint then,’ I whisper, as
he lowers me back over his desk and sits in between my legs pushing my skirt
upwards, before placing his lips on my thighs.

Chapter Eighteen

‘Where are we going?’ I enquire, laying my
head against the rest.

‘Mine.’

‘No mine, I have stuff,’ I insist.

‘Hmmmm, as do I,’ he murmurs amused,
‘handcuffs, to prevent you leaving me.’

‘You have handcuffs?’ I wake up suddenly
raising an eyebrow to the sky and he chuckles.

‘You like to be tied up,’ he reminds me and
my insides become alert despite the fact I am shattered from the desktop
antics.

‘Do you really?’ my voice is husky and his
face whips around to view me.

‘We need a few days away,’ he utters, ‘a
few days of uninterrupted passion.’

‘You would kill me,’ I laugh.

‘Kill you! You have to be kidding me,’ he
chuckles, ‘we still need to talk Lucy.’

‘I need to eat, I think.’ I am suddenly
aware of the fact that my stomach feels a little queasy.

‘No problem, Pizza, Chinese?’

‘Chinese, please.’

Cameron presses a button on his steering
wheel which connects him to his local delivery service and orders way too much
food for two people.

********

‘Right, so no over-analyzing, no second
thoughts without talking to me.’ Cameron instructs when he drops me outside my
work the next morning.  ‘I will pick you up tonight, we are going away for a
couple of nights, so we will stop by your place and collect some clothes and
head straight off,’ he informs me, his eyes anxious.

I nod as I regard him carefully, confusion
between what I am doing and what I should be doing, overwhelms me.

‘You hear, Lucy?’ he calls stubbornly.

‘I hear,’ I assure him.

He takes my chin in his fingers and kisses
me slowly, ‘I love you, remember that ok?’

‘Ok.’

‘Why does it feel as though you don’t
believe me?’ he sighs.

‘I have got to go, Cameron.’ I notify him,
eager to escape and gather my thoughts.

‘Ok, six yes?’

‘Six,’ I confirm, exiting the car.

We had stopped by my flat on the way, in order
that I could change clothes, I noticed the grin Greg had on his face as we
entered the apartment block together and flushed at the realization he was
aware that I spent the night with Cameron.

‘Miss Daniels, Mr. Lee,’ he had nodded and
I had smiled in greeting.

As usual, we had limited sleep the previous
night, it was ten o clock when we arrived back at Cameron’s and eleven o clock
by the time we had eaten our meal.  By the time we showered and continued
enjoying each other’s bodies it was three o clock this morning.

I yawn as I enter into the building holding
my coffee and croissant that Cameron had insisted we stop and buy on our
journey in.  He had also placed some of last night’s uneaten Chinese in a
container to be heated for lunch and instructed me it was time to eat again as
he detests skinny women.

********

Cameron watches as she enters into the
building, his heart swelling with love for her, she hasn’t forgiven him not
yet.  He will get her alone and work on her, not sex, but talk, she needs to
open up to him so that he can be assured when he notifies her of his concerns
regarding his past she will comprehend the reasoning behind his behavior.

She looks so sexy in her beige pencil dress
with her black heels, a wave of possessiveness hits but he refuses to respond
to it.  She loves him, he knows she does, she isn’t interested in anyone else
otherwise she would have moved on by now.  They are made for each other, who
would have thought six months ago that he would be chasing a woman to make his
own.

********

By the time I depart the building at six, I
am drained with tiredness.  One look at the bad boy standing in front of me in
jeans and a black t-shirt and my senses awaken, my eyes lighting at the sight
of him.  All the discussions that have taken place today, inside my mind, while
I attempt to forgive myself for my slip up last night in succumbing to
Cameron’s advances, have somehow disappeared from my mind.

‘Hey,’ he smiles and I suddenly become
unsure of how to greet him.

‘Hi,’ I flush, and he chuckles as he pulls
me into him and kisses me thoroughly.

‘You ok?’ he gazes down, and I nod.

‘Tired,’ I express, ‘you been home?’

‘You can nap in the car. Yes, I took the
afternoon off to take care of a few things,’ he replies opening the passenger door
for me to enter.

********

‘Lucy,’ Cameron calls gently.

‘Hey,’ I yawn, ‘sorry, did I nod off?’

‘Only for the past two hours,’ he grins,
‘come on, we will order room service and get some sleep.’

‘Where are we?’ I question.

‘Stratford upon Avon.’

I exit the car and stare at the gorgeous
hotel before me, set in grounds of parkland, ‘wow, this is pretty even in the
dark.’

‘It is a spa hotel, so we can chill and
talk.’

‘Talk?’ I smile.

‘Yes, talk,’ he insists and I frown.

‘Not just talk, I hope,’ I sulk.

‘Yep, until I have persuaded you that I am
in this for the long haul and you believe me,’ he retrieves our belongings from
the boot and gestures towards the reception area where a bellboy is already
trotting towards us.

‘Sir, allow me.’

‘Thank you,’ he hands over our bags and
takes my hand stroking his thumb across my fingers as he moves us inside.

‘Mr Lee,’ he informs the receptionist who, after
Cameron signs some paperwork, welcomes us and hands a key to the bellboy
instructing him.

‘Could you escort Mr and Mrs Lee to room
204, please Manny?’

‘Certainly, this way please.’

I flush at the words of the Receptionist,
but Cameron’s lips twitch at my reaction, ‘darling, after you,’ he teases, and
I throw him an embarrassed look.

The suite is fantastic and I am overwhelmed
by the luxury.  The sunken bath, within the huge bathroom, entices me and
before the bellboy has vacated the room I am running the water for a leisurely
bath adding a considerable amount from the bottle of scented oils.  The bed is
huge and overlooks the gardens which are lit up with delicate lighting
throughout, I open the patio doors to the crisp autumnal air taking in a huge
breath.

‘Everything to your liking?’ Cameron
enquires and I moan in response,

‘It’s beautiful Cameron, thank you,’ he
stands behind me his hand snaking around my waist.

‘You, are beautiful,’ he kisses my neck and
I gasp in pleasure.

‘No sex, until we talk you are tired.’

‘We have plenty of time to talk,’ I murmur
seductively as I turn in his arms and move my hands underneath his t-shirt,
‘how about you join me in the tub?’ I entice.

‘You minx,’ he pulls me into his groin
placing a kiss on my nose, ‘I will order the food, what do you fancy?’

‘I don’t mind, I ate lunchtime,’ I shrug.

‘A salad even,’ he tempts, ‘but you need
something.’

‘Ok, surprise me,’ I turn and purposely
drop my dress leaving me standing in my underwear and heels as I move into the
bathroom.  I feel his eyes burn into my body and I know Cameron will be joining
me in a short while, so I twist my hair up on top of my head and rid myself of
the remainder of my clothes before I brush my teeth and sink deep into the
bubble bath.

‘I ordered the food for an hour,’ he
grumbles as he hands me a glass of wine from the mini bar and moves me forward
to enable him to sit behind me.

‘Ok, thank you,’ I murmur, accepting the
wine gratefully, ‘cheers.’

‘To us,’ he clinks my glass with his. ‘Ok,
Miss Daniels,’ his voice sounds serious and my insides lurch.

‘I thought I was the serious one,’ I murmur,
cautiously.

‘Well on this occasion, it is me.  First of
all, I want you to know that when I walked out on you it wasn’t in any shape or
form a reflection on you.’

‘Rubbish,’ I scoff, ‘of course it was,’ I
sip my wine anxiously.  He remains quiet for a moment.

‘Lucy, you have to believe in what I am
telling you otherwise there is no point.’

I sigh, ‘ok, I give you the benefit of the
doubt, continue.’

‘It is me that owns the problem. I walked
out because I felt unworthy of your love.’

I glance up and watch Cameron fight an
internal battle of some kind, ‘ok,’ I encourage, ‘why would you think that?’ my
insides are churning at his words.

‘Because I have been brainwashed into
believing that no decent woman would give me the time of day.  That I am only
worthy of giving pleasure to woman, not to love them.  I have spent my adult
years pursuing woman only to warm my bed because that is my father’s way and he
is the only role model I have known.  My mother walked out on us, I don’t
condemn her for leaving him, but cannot comprehend why she deserted me. Was it
something that I did?  For years I questioned this, I cannot say that it helped
that my father discarded his women regularly and I stood by and watched them
depart.  I have an intense fear of being rejected.’

‘That’s why you freaked out when I walked
out of your house,’ I state, now comprehending his erratic behavior when I
decided to go home on that night a few weeks ago.

He nods, ‘my dad isn’t a good man Lucy,’ he
appears so vulnerable opening up his heart to me, a piercing pain shoots
through my chest at the realization that he is so alone.

‘No, I kind of got that, you are nothing
like your dad, Cam.’ I remind him gently.

‘But that’s just it, in my eyes, I am.  He
has led me to believe that I am a chip off the old block, as they say.  I am
not proud of things I have done in the past, Lucy,’ his eyes drop to mine.

My mind is absorbing the information and
analyzing as per usual, ‘he is using your past activities to prevent you from
moving forward in your life.’

‘Yes,’ he nods.

‘But why?  Because he is so unhappy
himself? Just to clarify Cameron, I have no concern in what activities you have
participated in during your younger years, I am only interested in the man I
know and love today, nothing else.’ I reassure him, placing my glass down and
turning in his arms my front against his.

He rubs a hand over his face, ‘I had a
three-way with my dad, when I was eighteen.’

My eyebrows raise, ‘ok.’

‘You are disgusted,’ his eyes search mine.

‘I am disgusted that your father pulled you
into his fuckedupness, but no, I am not disgusted by you Cameron,’ I frown,
‘why would you think that?’

He exhales a breath, ‘because you are
decent.’

‘And so are you,’ I assure him, ‘you are
not the first guy in the world, or woman I add, that has partaken in a three
way,’ I astound, ‘it happens every day.’ I am confused by this information.
Cameron is aware I am familiar with his highly adventurous sexual urges.

‘No I know, but with my dad!’ he shakes his
head, ‘that’s wrong on so many levels.’

‘Yes, it is a bit,’ I pause for a moment
while my mind searches for a way I can convince him, ‘I take it you don’t
expect me to participate with you and your dad?’

‘No fucking way, no one is touching you,
but me,’ his face contorts at the images that are obviously in his mind’s eye.

‘Then we are cool.  Is that what all this
is about?’ I move my hand around the room, ‘whisk me away, so I cannot run?’

He shrugs ‘maybe a little,’ he admits,
‘mainly, because I want to spend as much time as I can with you to make up for
all the hurt I have caused you.’

I straddle him, wrapping my arms around his
neck.

‘I love you Cameron, surely you know that,’
my eyes relay just how much as I gaze into the pools of blue.

He kisses me gently, ‘I love you too, but I
could not risk going any deeper into this worrying that my father considers he
has something over me.  Something that could re-surface at a later date and
ruin what we have built.’
