The Early Years

KANDI

2000

It was a hot ass summer day. It was so damn hot you could fry an egg on the concrete. I was in the living room sitting on the floor just thanking God that we still had some cold AC. Nothing was in the apartment but two mattresses in the bedroom and a refrigerator with barely any food in it. We never had much to eat in the house. It was nothing new to me since my father had left. It seemed like ever since then Mama was always depressed. She would cry, drink, and cuss all day. Some days she would try to fix herself up to go on job interviews. She went on interview after interview but nothing ever came of it. Sometimes I would hear her in her room praying for a change. After my dad left my mom for another woman, all hell broke loose. Mama, who I call Mary more than I call mother, had no way of paying all the bills on her own. Mary would bring home a new man every night. It was always the same routine. She’d pick up some drunk guy at the bar and bring him home to trick him out of his money. I had to give it to her. My mom knew how to scheme a nigga out of some money. She was so good she could pick your pockets right in front of you.

That was until one day my mom came home and introduced me to Todd. Todd was some random nigga she met at a bar. I was kind of shocked because my mom never introduced me to guys and I never had an interest in meeting them. The smile on my momma’s face convinced me she was happier than a pig in shit. Todd wasn’t like the rest of the guys I was used to seeing her fuck over because he was dressed really nice and smelled good too. He bought my mom fancy things and she was always smiling ear-to-ear whenever he was around. Well it turned out Todd was a pimp and all he wanted was to pimp my mama like he did the rest of his hoes, and that’s exactly what he did. I wouldn’t see my mother for days and when she would return home she would be strung out. Todd had to feed her crack to get her compliance because Mary wasn’t the type of lady you could easily control. The devil himself turned my mama into a crack-head hoe and I couldn’t stand his ass. I just sat and thought about how my life was when my dad was around. Things were so much better. We had nice furniture, food to eat; we’d even go on family vacations and then all of a sudden shit changed. Getting over what used to be I walked towards the window to see if there were any fools outside and just as I thought, there wasn’t a soul in sight. It was too got damn hot to be playing on Satan’s playground. As if the universe had jinxed me, all of a sudden, the lights went out and the AC shut off. I couldn’t even count to five before the heat started attacking.

“Got damn,” I screamed out, letting out all my frustration.

I started searching the apartment like I was a narc agent. The first place I checked was mama’s room and of course, she wasn’t in there. She was probably out selling her ass for the quickest dollar she could get. Pissed off, I walked into the kitchen, sat down on the floor, opened the refrigerator door, and tried to beat the heat. It was hot but I wouldn’t be in that hellhole for long. I had gotten accepted to college and to top it off I had received a scholarship too. Now all I had to do was sit and wait.

Tuesday, June 2000

The morning bell rang at 7:30 a.m. on the dot every morning at my high school. I made my way to class extremely early so I could be seated in time for my crush to walk in. It had been love at first sight but I was just too nervous to tell them how I felt.

Instead of a final exam Mr. Harper, my 12
th
grade Science teacher, had split us up into teams to complete a final group project. I was all ears while Mr. Harper was going down the list of last names of each student.

“Carey, Johnson, and Owens, you’re in group one. Adams, Flint, and Williams, group two.”

He went on and on but the only thing I cared about was Owens being a part of the Johnson team. Mr. Harper gave us two days to complete the project and present it to our classmates. After class ended my group of Johnson, Owens, and Carey, got together to discuss who would complete what parts of the project. With that being decided, I created a plan to get my crush over my house alone. You see I knew Stacy Carey. We had a couple of classes together. She was always bragging about how some nigga came and picked her up every Tuesday so I knew she would come up with an excuse as to why she couldn’t make it. That would leave me and my beautiful darling Owens all alone. That’s exactly what I wanted so I could make my move.

“So y’all down with meeting at my house after school to complete this shit?” I asked. “I can’t,” Stacy said. My plan was already starting to work. She went on with her lie. “I have to babysit my baby sister so I won’t be able to come. Are y’all cool with that?”

Hell yeah. I was more than cool bitch. I was frozen ice. She had to be the most predicable girl I knew. Since Owens didn’t speak, I told Stacy, “Okay, cool. So just complete the parts we discussed and Owens and I
will complete the rest.”

We all agreed. Shit, I knew then it was only a matter of minutes before Owens and I made sweet love. At least that’s what I was hoping. After grabbing all the project supplies and our belongings, we made our way to the school exit to walk to my house. I walked home from school every afternoon. It was only a six-minute walk. I knew my parents wouldn’t be home so that gave us plenty of time to complete the project among other things.

Finally getting to my house, it was empty just as I expected it would. I guided my soon-to-be-lover up the stairs to my room. Once in I closed the door and put my books down. Without hesitation, I turned to Owens and kissed him. What shocked me was that he kissed me back.

I’d been in love with Johnny Owens since I laid eyes on him earlier that school year. I was always the new kid at school. It had been that way since my childhood. Coming from a military home, we were always relocating; I’ve done my share of girls. I was even dating a couple of girls just to keep my attraction for guys on the low. All I knew was I had a thing for Johnny and now he was in my room kissing me. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I was fucking taking it. We were standing there kissing for what seemed like forever and then I started to kiss him all over his body. From the nape of his neck to the navel on his stomach. Johnny wasn’t saying much, he was just moaning and the sound of that shit turned me on even more.

“Are you sure it’s safe to do this here in your parents’ house?” Johnny asked and then continued to moan.

“Of course…,” I kissed my way back up to lick his nipples, “…it’s safe.” At that point, I didn’t give a fuck if it was safe or not. All I was thinking about was educating him with my brains and bending that ass over. I knew I couldn’t tell him that so to convince Johnny it was more than safe to be there, I took it a step further. I turned into a lion that was released from the cage after being locked up for years. I threw his pretty ass up against the wall. I pulled his polo jeans down to his timberlands and his boxers followed. I could tell Johnny was turned on because his dick was harder than a cinderblock and he didn’t stop me. Realizing that nigga wanted the dick just as bad as I did, I went down on him and began sucking and blessing him with my mouth.

“Oohh… yep, yep, right there nigga,” Johnny said. That
nigga was making sounds like he was in a porno.

“Awwww… ummmmm.” Johnny was making all types of noises. That’s when I went in on his ass. I deep throated that big long black dick until it was hitting the back of my tonsils. After about five minutes or so I let him cum in my mouth.

“Get the fuck off me,” Johnny said. He pushed me to the ground and quickly pulled up his pants back up.

“Don’t push me nigga. What the fuck is wrong with you?” I asked him. I couldn’t imagine why he would do such a thing after receiving the best head from me. Then, I turned around and realized my dad was standing there watching us in the doorway. I was sucking his dick so good I didn’t even hear my bedroom door open.

“What the fuck is going on in here?”

I got off the floor as soon as I heard my dad’s drill sergeant voice. My dad, Caine Sr., was the Sergeant Major of the United States Army at Fort Story. “Noth… nothing Sir,” I mumbled. My dad looked at me as if he wanted an explanation on why he caught my ass sucking Johnny Owens’s dick. “We, we, we were just studying Sir,” I told him knowing that wouldn’t be the end of it.

“Studying my ass! Are you going to become a doctor of some sort?” My dad knew good-in-got-damn well I was not going to be a doctor.

“No, no, sir I’m not,” I said with fear in my voice.

“Are you sure son? Because it seems to me the only thing you’re studying is this boy’s dick.”

I didn’t know what to say. My dad actually had a point because I was doing an exam on that dick.

“Johnny,” My dad said with authority. “It’s time for you to return home.”

Once you heard him speak, you knew he meant business and that time was no different.

“Yes Sir,” Johnny replied as he hurried to get his books and headed towards my bedroom door. “Let’s be clear Johnny,” my dad said while placing his arm up to block Johnny from leaving my bedroom. “Don’t come back around here. Your kind is not welcome here.” I could see the fear in Johnny’s eyes as my dad told him that.

“You and my son are no longer sucking buddies. I’m sure your little buddies at school wouldn’t want to find out you’re a faggot now would they?” My dad always had a way of intimidating people and I could see Johnny starting to break a sweat. “Now. Do I make myself clear?” my father asked him.

“Sergeant Johnson, sir, please don’t do that,” Johnny pleaded to my father.

You see my dad was a well-respected yet feared man. If our house was Germany then my dad was without a doubt Hitler. He was in the Vietnam War and hadn’t been wrapped too tightly since. Our family traveled the world and ended up residing in Virginia Beach where my dad was currently stationed. He would be retiring soon and wanted me to follow in his footsteps, but that military shit just wasn’t for me.
