“There’s a note,” he whispers in my ear, sending shivers down my body.

I move forward, finding a small white envelope tucked below the sculpture. My hands shake as I open it.

The note ended just like that. I turned to kiss him as tears rolled down my cheeks and found him kneeling on one knee. My heart was pounding as I looked down at the beautiful man before me. “Alex, will you be my forever?” he asks, opening a small blue box.

Did he just ask me to marry him? Our relationship has moved so fast, but I know he’s it. There is no after.

I nod my head, unable to say anything. Glancing down, I see an antique wedding ring sparkling at me under the candlelight. It’s not huge, but it’s beautiful and unique. I love everything about it.

I watch as he removes it from the box and places it on my finger before I jump into his arms. “I was hoping you’d say yes,” he says, twirling me in a circle.

“You have me. In some ways, I think you always have. Honestly, I would have said yes a long time ago.”

He smiles against my lips before pressing his to mine.

Wishes do come true.

First and foremost, I have to thank my fans for picking up
Plastic Hearts
and giving a new author a chance. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be able to keep doing what I do. Thank you!

I also have to thank my amazing husband for always giving me the time to follow my dream. You’re absolutely amazing and I love everything you do for our family.

I also have to thank my kids who understand mom’s crazy creative mind. I love you all to the moon and back.

To my critique partner Mireya, I don’t know what I would do without you. Whether we’re talking about books or just having crazy conversations about life in general, I always look forward to seeing your messages. You inspire and encourage me; I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have finished one book without you, let alone two.

To my amazing beta readers: Jessica, Angie, Amy, Mint, Jennifer, and Taryn, I appreciate all your feedback and Glass Hearts would not have been what it is without you.

To my editor Jennifer, thank you for all you do and putting up with my crazy second thoughts and endless insecurity. I’m thinking that maybe by the tenth or eleventh book, I’ll be less of a pain.

To Angela of Fictional Formats, thank you for taking the stress of the end stage of the book publishing process from me. You are amazing to work with.

To Christine for Shh Mom’s Reading, thank you for organizing the Glass Hearts blog tour and all the assistance you have given me throughout this journey. I can’t put into words how much I appreciate it.

And last but not least, thank you to all the bloggers who helped spread the word about Plastic Hearts. I know blogging and reviewing is time consuming and comes without a big paycheck but you mean so much to the success of so many authors.
