Epilogue

Waking early on Christmas morning, Holland let out
a gasp at the sensations
Jakob
was evoking sliding
his cock deep into her body. She was slick with need which meant the clever
wolf had been awake long enough to make her ready. All without waking her up.
Gold star for him.

“Good morning to you.” A low moan followed when he
cupped her mound, and used his clever fingers to tease her clit. Wrapping a
hand around his wrist to ensure he didn’t move that hand, she reached over her
head to grasp his neck with her free one.

“Getting better by the minute. Merry Christmas,
Holland.” His lips skimmed lightly over her neck to her ear. A nip from his
teeth to her earlobe had her jolting, and nearly coming right then and there.

Tricky male knew all her hot buttons already. She
would have replied to him but she no longer appeared able to speak. Her brain
was close to shorting out from a pinch to her clit. Digging her nails into his
nape, she held on for the slow ride he was taking her on.

Her orgasm came fast and hard. One moment she was
luxuriating in
Jakob
, and the next, she was screaming
out her release. A second one followed the first when he bit her shoulder. She
couldn’t comprehend what was happening, only that it was important. Then she
may have blacked out. A little bit. Nothing major, but she was definitely
disoriented to find
Jakob
leaning over her, stroking
a hand down her hip.

“Hi,” she croaked out.
Oh that was lovely.
Clearing her throat, she didn’t protest when he pressed closer, and kissed her.

“Hi yourself. I was worried about you there for a
minute. Then you started to mutter, mostly nonsense, but it eased my concerns
that I’d hurt you. I didn’t hurt you, did I?”

Shaking her head, she wiggled around and winced.
“Maybe my shoulder. Did you bite me?” she demanded.

“Yeah, about that.”

He looked mildly embarrassed, which had her
curiosity kicking up. She slipped her arms around his neck, and drew him in
closer, pressing a kiss to his jaw. “Tell me. If you don’t I’ll tickle you
until you do.”

“Let’s not and never mention it again,” he
muttered. Cheek rubbing to hers, he wrapped her up in his arms tight. “It was
pure instinct. The bite creates a bond between us, making you mine forever.”

Her breath caught at the implications. Arching back
until she could see his face, she blinked back tears. “Forever? You mean you’re
mine for good?”

He gave her a cautious nod,
.“
Yes,
ma’am. I know we likely should have talked about it first.”

The sound he made when she hauled him close to
squeeze him to her was cute. Like a deranged, dysfunctional squeaky toy. Giving
in to the urge, she began to pepper kisses to his face. “I love you,
Jakob
Nichols. I likely should be mad, smack you around
even, but honestly, it’s the best damn gift ever.” Someone who was hers, and
hers alone for the rest of time. A girl could end up with a big head over
something like that.

Under her hands his shoulders relaxed. “I love you
too, Holland Frost. I’m never letting you go. You are mine.”

Rubbing her nose to his, she smiled. “I like being
yours, even more since it also makes you mine. God help the fool female that
thinks to steal my man.”

“I doubt that will happen. I’ve heard rumors I’m
high maintenance.”

“Who you?”

“I know, right? I have no idea what they are
thinking saying such garbage.”

“Well, if you are hiding a high maintenance streak
it doesn’t matter.” She breathed him in for a few minutes before wrinkling up
her nose. “I need the bathroom. Go make coffee, and then I want my gifts.”

Jakob
gave a snort, and nibbled on her jaw. “I want mine too. Meet you in the
living room?”

“Deal.” Jumping up from the bed, she shot into the
bathroom. She stopped when she caught sight of her reflection. Happiness. For
the first time in way too long she looked and felt completely happy. Amazing
how that happened when one opened their heart to another.

After cleaning up quickly, she threw on a robe,
grabbed up his gifts and ran to find her man. It was going to be a great day.
The first of many.
