Chapter 30: Laci

Gunz’s birthday rolled around faster than I expected, but since I was no longer working, I had nothing but time on my hands. Gunz has been out working, leaving me with nothing to do. I missed him and wanted him home with me, but I wasn’t going to turn into a nagging girlfriend. Instead, I used the extra time I had to work on the things Jiselle had been teaching me. For the past week and a half, Jiselle and I got up every morning to train. No matter how fast I was picking everything up, I still left out of the warehouse in bruises. I wasn’t complaining about them because they were my war wounds, I guess you could say. I really was taking my training seriously because I was tired of being the push over. I was a reflection of Gunz, which meant I needed to represent him in every way. How would he look with a weak girlfriend?

“Laci, hurry up; it doesn’t take that long to get dressed,” Nazi said, barging into my room.

“Don’t you have a class to do or something,” I joked.

“No, I don’t and all my school work is done for the week.” She smiled.

“Well, I’m happy for you and I’m glad you’re not holding a grudge.”

“I can’t be mad at you for telling Gunz because I understand. If tables were turned, I probably would’ve told Jinx. In a strange way, I guess I should say thank you.”

“No thanks needed. I’m just happy you allowed yourself to open up to Jinx.”

“Yeah, he’s ight, I guess. Hurry up; I’m ready to go.” She laughed then left out the room.

I smiled at my baby sister because I was really proud of her. I don’t know what Jinx did to her the day she arrived to New York, but a couple of days after, she called me and was happier than ever. I didn’t ask questions or anything; I just welcomed her chipper mood and went with it. Somehow, Nazi had managed to get the Dean to agree to her finishing up her classes online. When I asked her about it, all she said was money talked. Either way, I was happy because she was still going to be able to graduate in June with the rest of her class. For the mean time, she was staying with Jinx until she found her own place or at least that’s the lie she told me, but I knew better. At first, I didn’t really understand why Gunz bought a townhouse and had his brother and sister living in the other apartments, but now I understood.

Checking myself in the mirror, I applied a little lip gloss and was ready to go. I grabbed my keys and purse and headed to go find Nazi.

“I’m ready; we can go now,” I told her.

“About time. I don’t know why you are waiting until last minute to get the cake and the rest of the food anyway.”

“I didn’t wait until last minute; it’s a surprise. He has been out working on the whole Brett situation and I wanted to have an intimate dinner for him.”

“Still last minute.” She laughed.

We headed out the door and got in her truck. The first place we went was to pick up the cake from Bites Galore. I ordered Gunz a Hennessy blue velvet cake, drizzled with caramel Hennessy. He was turning twenty-eight and I couldn’t get him a basic cake. We were in and out of the cake shop in a matter of seconds. Next stop was the fish market. Gunz loved seafood, so I decided to give him a seafood dinner. He was going to have everything from stuffed salmon to oysters. I was going all out for my baby because he honestly deserved it and so much more.

“All this seafood is going to have Jinx’s house smelling like a fish market. It’s bad enough it has to go in my car. I hope you know you’re paying for it to be detailed,” Nazi complained.

“And to think I thought you would do me a favor without all the complaining.”

“I’m just saying, but on a more serious note, have you figured out what you are going to do now? I know Gunz will take care of you if you wanted to stay home, but I’m sure that’s not what you want.”

“You’re right; that’s not what I want. I’m thinking about opening my own law firm. I can take on cases that have to do with BRM.” I have been thinking a lot about what I was going to do now. I was free of Shirley and Dennis, which meant I didn’t have a car, house, or a job. I had about two hundred grand saved up but Shirley had access to all my accounts. Thinking about that now, me allowing her to have access was one of the dumbest things I could have ever done.

“Well, did you ever check your account to see if Shirley cleaned you out?”

“No, let me check.” I pulled out my phone and went to check my Citibank account. I went to log in but it said I was denied access.

“She took me off the accounts,” I told Nazi.

“That fucking bitch! I swear, I want to be the one to end her miserable life.”

“I’m with you on that one,” I sighed.

“Wait, is this Laci talking?” Nazi asked, surprised.

I quickly gave her the full story that Rose gave me. It was apparent from the shock on her face that Jinx didn’t give her the full story either.

“Wow, so are we like crime bossettes or something?” she asked.

“I guess you could say that; I don’t want nothing to do with it though. The only thing I honestly want is to avenge our parents’ death. After that, I don’t plan on doing anything else illegal.”

“Whatever the plan is, I want in. They were my parents just as much as they were yours.”

“I wouldn’t want it no other way,” I told her.

I haven’t exactly thought out how I was going to handle Shirley and Dennis, but I knew I wanted to do it soon. Even though I have been training, I’m no expert at the art of murder. I was going to need someone who was skilled to help me. Gunz was out of the question because he would never allow me to do it on my own. The only other person I could think of was Jiselle. I still wasn’t Jiselle’s favorite person but she seemed to like murder. I was going to bring the idea up to her after Gunz’s birthday party tomorrow.

* * * *

My tongue slid up and down the shaft of Gunz’s penis. He was asleep but his solider was at attention. I made figure eights with my tongue while cupping his balls. He was stirring in his sleep but didn’t wake up. I took him into my mouth, paying extra attention to the head. I wasn’t super head but I could do a little something something.

“The fuck,” Gunz groaned, finally waking up out of his sleep.

I looked him in his eyes as I pulled his dick deeper into my mouth. I picked up the pace, making sure he heard all my slurping sounds. He gripped my head and held it in place as he fucked my mouth. He was lifting his pelvis off the bed, fucking my mouth as if it was my pussy. A couple of times I wanted to gag but I held it in. I tightened my jaw muscles around his dick for a tighter feel.

“Suck this dick Laci!” he moaned out.

He let my head go and I went back to work. Every trick that I learned from watching porn, I put to use. I licked and sucked and sucked and slurped until his hot semen shot down the back of my throat. I never tasted sperm before and it was a taste I could live without.

“Damn ma, you got me feeling like the man right now.” Gunz smiled, licking his lips.

“That’s cause you are the man, but I am going to need you to start eating pineapples or something.” I crawled up to where he was and laid my head on his chest.

“The fuck am I eating pineapples for?” he questioned.

“To make your sperm sweeter, it was tart.” I laughed.

“That shit is just a myth,” he said, mushing me and getting out of bed.

“Call it what you want but you will start eating pineapples.” I stood up on the bed and jumped on his back as he tried to walk away.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!” I yelled as loud as I could.

“Laci, what the hell you doing?” He laughed.

One minute I was on his back, the next he flipped me over on to the floor and he was on top of me. “I thought you training with Jiselle would’ve made your skills a little bit sharper.” He smiled, kissing me.

I kissed him back, then swiftly moved from underneath him and put him into the arm triangle choke. “My training did help,” I whispered, then kissed him.

I let him go and quickly ran away; if I would’ve kept Gunz in that move for any longer, he would’ve passed out on me. I ran into the kitchen hoping he would follow.

“Laci, I’ma beat your little ass; don’t ever put me in that shit…” His words trailed off as he noticed the decorative kitchen.

I had a banner that said ‘Happy Birthday Gunz’ with gold and black balloons all over the place. I had breakfast made for a king on the kitchen table, along with a freshly rolled blunt.

“You did all this for me ma?” he asked, coming towards me.

“Yeah.” I smiled. He pulled me into a hug and started giving me a nuggy.

“Gunz stop, you’re messing up my hair,” I whined.

“You almost killed me so we even.” He laughed, letting me go.

“I didn’t almost kill you; if I wanted to kill you, you would’ve been dead.” I smirked.

I grabbed his plate off the table and started piling food on it. I had cooked steak tips, cheesy eggs, home fries, pancakes, French toast, salmon cakes, bacon, and sausage. Anything he could’ve wanted for breakfast was on the table. I sat his plate full of food in front of him, then went to pour him a glass of orange juice. I made my plate and grabbed a bottle of water sitting across from him.

“I can’t believe you did all this for me, Laci. I know I’m sounding like a bitch and shit, but I just want you to know I appreciate you.”

“No need to tell me because I already know. Now, eat your food because you’re rocking with me today.”

“That’s cool; I usually work on my birthday anyway.”

“I know; Jinx told me. I understand that you never really celebrated your birthday but we are going to change all of that.”

“What did I do to deserve your little annoying ass,” he joked.

“You have nerve calling me annoying when you are a certifiable asshole.”

“That’s part of my charm.” He laughed, causing me to laugh too. It was something about being around Gunz that allowed me to open up. Being around him, I was never uptight; he brought out the best in me and I was forever grateful.

“The past couple of weeks I’ve been tied up in work, trying to make sure that everyone in BRM is on their P’s and Q’s-” he started, but I cut him off.

“I know, you don’t have to tell me; I already knew you were handling business, which was why I didn’t complain or anything.”

“I just wasn’t handling business with BRM. I know how much being a lawyer means to you, so I went out and bought some office space.” He smiled.

“No Bryce, you didn’t,” I squealed.

“I did. You now have your own law firm. Don’t worry about your licenses to practice law because I had Jinx find them and print them out, so they can hang in your new office.”

“I don’t even know what to say.” I jumped up and ran over to him. He pushed out his chair from the table, just in time for me to jump in his lap. I showered him with kisses all over his face.

“You don’t have to say shit because you deserve it. You worked your ass off in school and I refuse to let a bitter old white couple stop you from living out your dream.”

“Thank you Gunz,” I beamed.

“No, thank you for being everything I never knew I needed.”

“Finding you helped me find myself.”

“Chill with all that soft talk ma; I’m trying to break you out of that.” He smirked.

“Well then, come put a hurtin’ on this pussy lil daddy.” I winked at him and walked towards our bedroom. The words coming out my mouth sounded funny as hell.

“You are so corny, you know that.” He laughed.

“Yeah but it’s part of my charm,” I purred, stripping out of my pajamas.

Gunz followed my lead and took off his basketball shorts. No matter how many times Gunz and I made love, it always felt as if it was the first time. Our connection was so deep that it scared me sometimes. We weren’t two people; we had become one and one was how we were going to remain.

Chapter 32: Gunz

A nigga turned twenty-eight today and Laci made it all worth it. Celebrating my birthday wasn’t nothing I was big on because growing up, my birthday was just another day. When I became of age, I would take a shot and that would be my celebration. Once Jiselle and Jinx hit twenty-one, we started doing the shots together. That was our birthday celebration and we were cool with that. Laci, on the other hand, took everything up a notch. I thought it was cool to wake up to some head, breakfast, then dive in that pussy but she had more. Somehow, she had got it passed me that she was throwing me a seafood dinner.

After sex, we lounged around and watched movies until it hit five. At five, Laci jumped up, got in the shower, then got dressed. Being the nigga that I am, I questioned where she was going but she wouldn’t tell me much. Matter of fact, all she told me was be dressed by ten and to go down to Jinx’s house. As soon as her ass left the house, Jinx came upstairs, talking about he wanted to spend time with me before I got too old and senile. I knew they were up to something but I played along. Ten rolled around and Jinx and I walked down to his crib, only to be greeted at the door by Laci, Nazi, and my parents yelling surprise.

I thanked everyone and walked in there feeling like the man. Shit, even when I was dating Milani, she never did anything this special for me. The most she did was put some lingerie on and sex me. I guess you could say she wrapped the pussy up and try to give it to me as a present.

“Bro, you don’t hear me talking to you?” Jinx asked.

“Nah, I was too busy looking at Laci’s ass,” I smirked

“All y’all do is fuck, just let me know when my niece or nephew coming.” Jinx laughed.

“I could say the same about you and Nazi.”

“Kids isn’t even on our minds right now. All I’m worried about is Nazi finishing up school and shit.”

“I hear that shit.” I nodded my head in approval.

“You know y’all got some winners on ya team, right?” my father said. He came over to where Jinx and I stood, handing us both a beer.

“How you know they winners?” I asked out of curiosity. I had a feeling he was going to say because they are heavily respected in the crime world. As soon as he said something about that shit, I was ending this conversation.

“Look at how much y’all changed since they have been around. Gunz, you cooled down some. You’re not as much of a rude muthafucker as you used to be. Jinx, Nazi got you opening up and shit. I may not know them like that but I know my sons. They make y’all better, kind of how your mother made me,” he said before walking away.

I looked at Jinx and he just shrugged his shoulders. I didn’t say anything but what my father said was true.

“How y’all start the party without me!” Jiselle said, walking in the house like she owned it. I was about to say something when I saw that she had a guest with her.

“Jiselle, why would you bring her?” Jinx asked.

All eyes were on Jiselle with her unwanted guest. Laci rushed over to my side, grabbing my hand and squeezing it; I snatched it from her.

“Jiselle, what the fuck is wrong with you, yo? You supposed to be my fucking blood but you keep parading this bitch around like she your real sister!” I barked.

“She’s not parading me around; I asked to come. I thought it would be the right thing to do to tell your little girlfriend over there that you called me the same day she left your ass in bed sleeping to go marry another woman,” Milani spat. I looked at Laci and she was glaring at both Jiselle and Milani.

“Oh, is that right,” Laci said, stepping to Milani. I watched Jiselle move away with a smirk on her face.

“Laci, chill out ma,” I said, trying to grab her back.

“Don’t touch me,” she sassed, spinning around and slapping me. I held my cheek in shock; I know Laci didn’t just put her fucking hands on me.

“Oh hell no, don’t put your fucking hands on my man!” Milani yelled, while charging at Laci.

Laci fell but she quickly recovered. She jumped up and stood in a fighting stance. I wanted to stop Laci, but at the same time, I was intrigued. Milani swung on Laci and Laci ducked, then followed up with blows of her own.

“That’s right Laci, beat that hoe ass!” Nazi yelled. “You see the way my sister beating your friend’s ass; that’s the way I’m going to beat yours in the future,” Nazi smirked to Jiselle.

Next thing I knew, Nazi and Jiselle were going at it. Just like Laci, Nazi was holding her own. Shit, I would go as far as saying Nazi was getting the best of Jiselle.

“BITCH IF YOU EVER COME WITHIN TWELVES INCHES OF BRYCE GUN CARTER I WILL KILL YOU!” I heard Laci scream. She had Milani in the arm triangle choke. Jinx was pulling Nazi off of Jiselle while my parents were just standing there. I shook my head and went to grab Laci off this girl.

“Laci, chill the fuck out before you kill her rabbit ass,” I told her. I picked her up in a bear hug, refusing to let her go.

“Why do you care if I kill her or not? Do you care that much about her life?” Laci questioned.

“I don’t give a fuck about her life, actually. I just don’t want you to have her blood on her hands. You’re not a killer ma,” I whispered in her ear.

“Just get off of me, Gunz.” Laci wiggled away, then stormed off towards the bathroom. I planned on following her but I had to fix the problem at hand first.

“Jiselle, get your friend and get the hell out!” I yelled.

“Milani can leave; I’m not going nowhere!” Jiselle spat.

“Jiselle, why would you cause all this drama at your brother’s party?” my mother questioned.

“I’m just going to leave because now this is all my fault.” Jiselle laughed.

She went to help Milani off the floor but it didn’t work out the way she planned. Milani pulled a knife out her pocket, twirled Jiselle around, and held the knife at Jiselle’s throat.

“Milani, what the hell are you doing?” Jiselle questioned.

“I’m so sorry Jise-” In the middle of her sentence, Milani’s head splattered.

Everyone in the room gasped as we looked towards Laci. She was holding a glock nineteen in her hands. Her hands were shaking and her chest was heaving up and down.

“Where the fuck you get a gun from, Laci?” I barked.

“I gave it to her and it’s a good thing I did,” Jiselle smirked.

“Jiselle, shut the hell up,” my mother told her.

“Oh my god, Laci,” Nazi said with her hand covering her mouth.

I think we were all in a state of shock, except for Jiselle. The look on her face had me feeling as if she planned the whole the thing. Laci dropped her gun, then ran to the back and slammed what I guess was a bedroom door.

“Gunz, go handle that and I’ll one of my guys to clean this up,” my father said.

“No, I think I should go check on her,” Nazi said.

“Nah, your ass is staying right here,” Jinx told her.

“I will go talk to her since it’s my life that she saved,” Jiselle said.

I grabbed her ass, pulling her towards me. “If you’re going to talk to her, make sure you make things better and not worse. I’m not fucking playing with you, Jiselle. That’s my heart right there and, when you hurt her, you’re hurting me.”

“Ight damn, I got this; chill out. She killed someone; it’s not that big deal,” she tried to explain.

“It may not be a big deal to you because you’re just naturally a cold bitch. Laci’s not like that, so her saving your fucking life is a big deal. Fix that shit,” I demanded.

She yanked away from me, then stormed towards the back. I let out a sigh because I felt this was my fault. I’m the one that had Laci training with Jiselle; that shit was a blessing and a curse.
