“Don’t tell him that!” Corey said. “I like how polite and shy he is.”
“I’m
not
shy,” Angelo said.
Corey massaged Angelo’s shoulders. “To answer your question, you’re allowed to speak for us. We
are
a couple. Got it?”
“Got it.”
Doug grinned at them, then looked at Jairo. “Yeah.” Taking a deep breath, he let it out. “I like this. This all feels good.”
Angelo leaned back into Corey. He agreed with Doug. This felt fucking good. And while he knew there would be chaos and drama with his family down the road, and possible conflicts yet unseen spawned by this extreme new life change, he knew he’d handle it. And whatever came his way, he’d keep his promise to Corey, and not let anything screw this up.
Because here, in this moment, with Corey’s warm body against his, and the comforting presence of new friends who’d accepted Angelo as one of their own without question, he felt truly fulfilled for the first time in his life.
Because for the first time in his life, Angelo was truly, deeply, and madly in love. And that didn’t just feel good.
It felt fucking
great
.
THE END
Acknowledgments
Several people had a helpful hand in this sequel coming to fruition, so thanks to CC, CM, Shannon, Asha, and all the readers who contacted me asking for more Corey. And a shout out to my old neighborhood in Jamaica Plain, which is not only a great setting but sort of a character unto itself.
But most of all thanks to Skyla Dawn Cameron and her many hats: Editor, artist, friend, Indigo Hippie Chick, and my greatest support in this continuing journey through The Smutopian Galaxy.
