“More, more.” She grabbed at his hips, trying to force more

filling her. Her eyes rolled back, the feel of him inside her almost too

“Breathe, Hanna, breathe for me.” He thrust in and out, harder

He leaned up on one elbow to watch her. He skimmed the back
of his fingers down her cheek. Damn, she was so pale. Yep, he needed to get
some help.
But as he rolled off the bed, she stirred, opening her eyes.
“Marcus?”
He cupped her cheek. “Hey, baby, how you doing?”
“What happened?”
“You passed out.”
She flushed, looking sheepish. “I did? I’m sorry, how
embarrassing.”
Marcus grinned. “It’s okay, babe. How are you feeling?”
Stretching, she yawned. “You know what? I feel great. I feel
more alive than I have in ages. Energetic.” She looked up at him, her eyes
widening. “Do you feel it?”
He pushed aside his concern for her and reached for his wolf…
And found her. The bond was there. Fragile. New. But definitely tying the two
of them together.
Grinning, he leaned down and kissed her. “You’re mine now, Hanna.
Forever.”
“Forever,” she repeated. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Hanna watched with a smile as wolf after wolf knelt before
her mate and swore their fealty to him and to the pack. Marcus stood with his
shoulders back, his face serious. He reached out through the bond and filled
her with warmth. With love. Hanna sent her own love back until finally it
became her turn. She stepped forward from where she stood at his side and,
turning, knelt before him.
“I swear fealty to my Alpha and to my pack. I swear to never
betray them and to only work for the good of the pack. Hear my word.”
She bowed her head, only raising it when his hand touched
the back of her head. Then he shocked her by kneeling and taking both her hands
in his. “And I swear fealty to my pack, to my mate. I swear to never betray
them and only work toward their good. Hear my word.”
Leaning forward, he kissed her, the howls of the pack
filling the air.
Her pack.
Her man.
Her mate.
