Sam was so real and one-hundred percent woman. A lady and a temptress, a child and a sage. The contrasts intrigued him, frustrated him, and captured him completely.
He was losing circulation in his hands, but he could care less if they died and fell off. Every other part of him was alive and throbbing with pleasure. When Sam grasped his shaft and began sucking him with more force, her tongue sliding over the head of his cock, he couldn’t hold back any longer. When she pulled back, her wet lips sliding up his dick then plunging back down, he came in her mouth. Felicia had hated swallowing his come, but Sam licked him clean and seemed to be enjoying it. He inwardly grimaced, hating the fact that he’d let his ex-wife creep up on this shining moment, so he shoved the memories away and focused only on this beautiful woman who gave herself so freely.
“That was great.” She smiled widely, sitting next to him on the bed and released his hands. Zach felt blood pour into his fingers and he wiggled them around as a thousand pins and needles shot into the digits.
“Hell yes, it was.” He massaged his wrists, wondering when it would be his turn to tie her up. “In fact,” he caressed her cheek and kissed her softly as they fell sideways on the bed, “I say this calls for an encore.”
Sam giggled and pushed him onto his back, straddling his thighs. “My pleasure.”
Zach scooted up so he was more comfortable on the bed, loving the sight of Sam on top of him. Her dark hair slithered over her shoulders like velvet snakes and a few strands flirted with her hard nipples. He licked his lips and reached out, holding her breasts and pulling them down to his mouth. He sucked one nipple them the other, softly biting her breasts. She sat up and threw her head back looking like a goddess as she wove her magic spell over his senses.
He couldn’t believe he was already hard, ready to go again, but Sam turned him on like no other. Bucking his hips so he entered her deeply each time she moved down on him, he moaned as she reached back and played with his balls. He always loved his balls to be massaged, tickled and sucked. Sam seemed to know his every preference.
She leaned back with her palms flat on the mattress and Zach grabbed hold of the headboard, pushing his hips upward, watching, enthralled, as her breasts bounced with his every thrust. He reached forward with one hand while still holding onto the headboard with the other. Taking his thumb he pressed it against her clit, rubbing circles over it, sliding across it.
Her thick thighs worked as she rode him harder than a cowgirl in a rodeo. Her breathing was heavy, some of her hair stuck to her damp neck and tendrils lay plastered to her temples. Zach thought she never looked sexier. Caught up in the throes of passion, oblivious to good etiquette and ladylike manners, she begged him to fuck her and fuck her hard.
Sitting up, Zach pulled her onto his lap. She wrapped her arms around his neck, his face buried between her pillow-like breasts. He sucked hard on the area between them, knowing she’d have a hickey the size of the Mojave, though didn’t care. Her clothes would cover it up. He held her waist tight as she bounced up and down, her ass slamming against his balls with each descent.
She bit his earlobe and he cried out with pain and pleasure both. Sam laughed and whispered something, but it all sounded like gibberish to him at the moment.
He then felt an arrow of guilt stab him and he murmured, “Babe, I’m riding bareback.” Since when had he been so reckless? The thought of grabbing a condom hadn’t occurred to him until now. He couldn’t help it, she got him good and worked up.
She continued to move on his lap, pulling at his hair until he lifted his face to her. “I’m on the Pill. I started them a couple of days after you moved in.” She grinned then and kissed the taste right out of his mouth, sucking on his tongue so hard he thought she’d rip it out. Goddammit, he fucking loved the sensations. When had he ever felt this alive?
As his balls contracted and electricity gathered at the base of his cock, he held on long enough to reach between their slick bodies and rub his thumb over her clit again. He wanted--no, he
needed
to feel her come with him. It was as if every adolescent fantasy he’d conjured up over the years was being acted out in this single session of lovemaking.
Sam ground her hips against him, moving in sweet, sumptuous circles as he moaned against he neck. He felt her fingers digging into his shoulders as her ass moved back and forth. She looked at him for a second, a sly smile on her face as she said, “Are you ready?”
Zach only nodded like a mute idiot, rubbing her clit faster in rhythm with her undulating hips. As she started to crest, she grabbed him by the ears and raised his face to her, giving him an openmouthed kiss that swallowed his savage cry of release. She wasn’t far behind as she whimpered into his mouth, calling out his name as she came.
They held each other tight as the pendulum of ecstasy continued to sweep over them. Finally, Zach gasped, needing some air in his deprived lungs. How long had he been holding his breath? He laid back on the bed, bringing Sam on top, then turned slightly so she was nestled against him. She breathed out and her warm breath felt cool over his heated flesh.
For a second fear set in and he had an overwhelming urge to get up and leave the room. Sam must have felt his moment of trepidation because she placed a hand over his chest. He was certain she could feel the wild tattoo of his heart. He wondered if his feelings had more to do with fear of intimacy or outright terror as he felt the seeds of something deeper taking root.
“Stay. Please?” She gave a wobbly smile and he saw her eyes fill up. A million questions ran through his mind. How did she feel? Was she as scared as he was? Did she feel used? Was she falling in love? Where were they headed with all of this? Should he stay or go? Apologize?
He couldn’t see his own eyes but they felt big, almost wild. Sam laid a tender finger over his lips. “Shh…” She trailed her palm down to his chest where she lay her head. Just like that he relaxed; her willing prisoner. Zach put his arm around her, pulling her close. She sighed and yawned, her body going lax as she drifted off to sleep.
In the murky room that smelled of sex and berries, he looked over at the woman so close to him and knew where he belonged.

A knock on the door woke Zach up from a dead sleep. He shook his head and realized Sam was standing by the side of his bed in her pink fuzzy bathrobe. For a moment he wondered if she wanted to make love again, but the worried look on her face told him this was business not pleasure.
“Zach, come downstairs, quick!”
“What’s wrong?” He threw the covers back and reached for his slacks and shirt that lay on the floor and quickly put them on.
“I heard someone knocking on the door downstairs. When I went to see who it was through the peephole, I saw that it was Marissa Martinez and her father. I opened the door and he was carrying her, she looks bad. I called 911 and came right up to get you. Since you were in emergency medicine I figured you might be able to do something until the paramedics get here.” She left the room and started down the stairs, Zach right on her heels.
When he entered the waiting room the light was on and the little girl lay on the carpet with her father by her side. “What happened?” He directed the questions to the Mr. Martinez, but he replied in Spanish.
“Mrs. Martinez is visiting her mother and Mr. Martinez speaks very little English. From what I could gather she was playing outside and he called her in for dinner. A little while later she started having muscle pain and nausea then fainted on the way over here.” Zach glanced up at Sam and noticed that her eyes were on the child and she held the side of her fist to her mouth looking very worried.
“Why didn’t the father call 911 or take her to the ER?” Zach took her vitals. Her breathing was shallow and her eyes looked distant. He’d bet anything she was having an allergic reaction to something, but what?
“I’m assuming Mr. Martinez figures we’re his child’s doctors so we’d know what to do.”
Zach looked at the man who nodded then looked down at his daughter with tears in his eyes. “Por, Dios, help please!”
“Do you know any Spanish at all?” he asked Sam, knowing he had to keep a level head.
“Some, why?”
“Ask him if she was playing near any wood piles, a shed, maybe the garage.”
Sam asked and Mr. Martinez replied.
“He said she was in the garage with her cousins playing.”
Zach searched the child’s arms and legs and found what he suspected. “It looks like a black widow bite. I saw it many times in the ER, though a reaction such as this isn’t common, it does happen. I doubt you have any antivenin here?”
She shook her head. “Of course not. The deadliest thing I handle here is strep throat.”
Zach breathed a sigh of relief as he heard the sound of sirens approaching. Moments later the EMTs rushed in. Zach gave them his opinion as to what the girl’s problem was and showed them the site of the bite. They ran her vitals, gave her an injection, then put her on the cart and started an IV. “She’s going to be okay,” the female EMT smiled at them. “Thanks for the heads-up.” She nodded at Zach as they wheeled the girl out to the ambulance, Mr. Martinez following close behind.
After they left, Sam sat on one of the waiting room chairs and said, “I’ll be honest, that scared the life out of me. I’m so glad you knew what to look for. If not…” Her eyes filled with tears as she looked up at him.
Zach walked over and rubbed her back. “She would have been fine either way. Help arrived in plenty of time. She was a sick but not at death’s doorstep.”
“Even so, I don’t know how you dealt with things like that on a daily basis. My adrenaline would have short-circuited my nerves within a week!” She wiped a hand over her face.
“You get used to it.” He took her hand, bringing her to her feet.
“No wonder you were such a grouch when you first got here.”
Zach had a bitter retort ready to jump out, but he found himself chuckling instead. “Yeah, I was pretty high strung and angry at a whole lot of things.” They walked up the stairs together.
“Understatement?” They stopped in front of her bedroom door, but Zach tugged on her hand, taking her to his room this time.
“Hey now, I wasn’t all that bad. You have to admit, you take some getting used to.” He laid on the bed and pulled her down on top of him with ease.
“Are you used to me yet?”
“Not even close.” She stuck her tongue at him and he laughed then kissed the tip of her nose. “But I’m enjoying the ride.”
She growled then said, “Right now I’d like to enjoy a ride of my own.”
Zach felt her reach down and unzip his pants, reach inside and withdraw his dick. She shed her bathrobe and nightshirt then raised herself up slightly so she could slide back down on his shaft.
Sam entwined her fingers with his, raising his arms over his head then pinning them against the bed. A deep groan traveled up and out of his throat. He felt her soft, plump ass as it slapped against his pelvis as she rode him faster and faster. This was not the slow, sensual lovemaking they shared in the exam room or the long, erotic sessions they had earlier in her room. Sam was in charge and she was an erotic dream. Her gaze tangled with his and the height of her passion nearly choked him.
He felt himself reaching a zenith but wanted her to have complete control so he resisted bucking his hips. “That’s it, baby,” he urged her on. “Just like that. I’m going to come.” At those words she ground her hips against him, moving them in a circular motion. He was buried to the hilt and it felt so damn good he thought his balls would explode. As he reached climax she gave him a soul-deep kiss that caused lights to burst inside his brain. For a second he wondered if he was having a stroke. He’d never had an orgasm that intense.
His body went limp and Sam rolled to her side, laying her head on his chest. His heart pumped out of control and he was almost certain it called out her name with every beat. In such a short amount of time how had this happened, especially when he’d been so careful? Then again, he had been dealing with an expert in soothing crying babies and toddlers throwing tantrums. Was it so hard to believe that she could soothe a man who had a crappy attitude and wounded ego?
Zach pushed Sam’s hair out of her face as she dozed. “I wish I could predict the future,” he murmured against her lips.
Sam smiled and opened her eyes. “Nah, that wouldn’t be any fun. I like being surprised.” She kissed him but Zach wasn’t into it. He rolled over onto his back looking up at the ceiling, watching the fan blades spin lazily as he ran the same unhurried circles over her lower back with his finger.
“Are you okay?” Sam snuggled close to him.
He shrugged. “I guess I like a little more stability in my life.” He wanted to see where things went with them and fully expected to make this thing long-term. Very long term.
“Stability is good, but you can’t have everything planned out step-by-step.” She rested her chin on her fist, her fist on his chest as she looked at him.
Zach ran his hand from her shoulder, down to her waist and rounded hip then back again. “I’ve wanted to talk to you about the lease.”
He heard her suck in a sharp breath and watched as she sat up, covering herself with the sheet. The woman was suddenly modest? The look on her face was one of wariness and hurt. “But, why? I thought things were going along well.” She started to get up from the bed and Zach realized she wanted to escape. As breezy and carefree as she acted most of the time, in reality she wanted stability too.
