Marc looked into a drawer and pulled out some menus dropping them on the counter in front of her. “Pick whatever you like. We'll order in tonight.”

Isis smiled at him as she picked up the menus and began to look them over. After she'd made her selection, Marc called in the order.

“If you want to shower, you can use the Master and I'll use the guest bathroom. You can relax in one of my shirts and we'll go and get some of your clothes tomorrow.”

  “Okay, that sounds fine.”

He retrieved his phone and handed it to her. “Call your sister.”

Marc kissed her again before heading into one of the bedrooms and Isis watched until he was out of sight. When he was gone, she dialed her sister's number and Isabelle answered immediately.

  “Hello?”

  “Isabelle, it’s Isis.”

  “Are you okay?” Isabelle asked.

Isis stared out of the now darkened windows. “Yes, no.”

Isabelle became alarmed. “Oh my...what is it? Is it Daddy?”

“I don't know if Daddy is who I think he is Isabelle,” she said quietly.

  “What happened, Isis?”

Isis looked around the beautiful apartment then towards the room where Marc had gone.

“He threatened to hurt Marcus' family,” she confided.

Isabelle took a breath. “Daddy has gone too far.”

Isis put a hand to the back of neck. “Marcus says it doesn't affect us, but how can it not?”

“Us?” Isabelle asked raising a brow.

Isis bit her lip. “Yes. Marcus and I have become...” she trailed off.

“Isis Martin, have you been intimate with Agent Graham?” Isabelle asked hiding her delight.

Isis flushed. “Isabelle, I just wanted him so badly.”

“And was he gentle with you?”

Isis closed her eyes at the memories. “The first time, yes.” She clenched her thighs. “After that I didn't want him to be gentle anymore. I wanted all he had to offer and he delivered.”

Isabelle looked at her phone. Was this her sister? Well, well Agent Marcus Graham.

“Where are you now?” Isabelle asked.

“We're at Marcus' place. He brought me here to be closer to the hospital just in case something happens with Daddy.”

  “Daddy's fine Isis.”

“Marcus thinks he was faking to get me to come out of hiding.”

  “That's very possible.”

Isis sighed. “Shana was at the hospital. She said Daddy was going to die because of me.”

“You should not listen to a word Shana says. She has issues.”

“She was so angry with me,” Isis commented.

“She's angry with the world Isis. Don't worry about Shana.”

Isis rested her elbow on the counter holding up her chin in her hand. “What should I do Isabelle? About Marcus.”

“If he says Daddy's not an issue then don't let Daddy become an issue. Daddy will have to pay for his own sins Isis. You can't save him.”

“But it's Daddy, Isabelle,” Isis protested.

“Isis it's time for you to live your own life, not Daddy's,” Isabelle instructed. “Do you want Marc?”

Isis smiled. “Yes, he's mine.”

“Then do whatever you need to do to keep him, but don't settle for anything less than all of him.”

Isis looked back toward the room. “Thank you Isabelle.”

“Be happy Isis, you deserve it. Remember that's what you told me.”

“And you're married having a baby,” Isis laughed.

Isabelle smiled. “I'm so happy and I want the same for you.”

Isis smiled too. “We'll see about all that. I'd better go shower before our food arrives. I'll call you after I see Daddy again.”

The women disconnected the call and Isis sat the phone on the counter. She walked over to the door to retrieve her purse. She bent down and spotted some files on a low shelf against the wall. It wasn't the files themselves but the name on the files that drew her attention. Leaving her purse she walked over and pulled the folders from their resting place. Without thought, she opened the first folder...

Marc finished his shower and wrapped a towel around his waist. He headed out of the guest room and into the Master closet where he changed into some shorts and an FBI T-shirt. He wasn't concerned with anyone coming to the building to hurt Isis. This building was owned and controlled by the Black Diamonds and security was extremely tight. When he exited the room, he heard Isis sobbing. Running into the living room, he found her on the floor with his confidential files surrounding her and tears streaming down her face.

“Dammit Isis! What the hell are you doing?” he demanded.

She looked up at him through her tears. “My Daddy's a monster...”

Shana sat at her father's beside at the hospital. Her relationship with Milton Martin could hardly be described as the ideal father/daughter relationship. Shana constantly tried to compete with Isabelle and Isis for his attention. She was his oldest daughter from a previous relationship and he had left her mother to marry Isabelle and Isis' mother because of her status.

Milton looked over at his daughter. In his mind, he'd tried to do right by her. He'd made both of their lives better by marrying Iris. Her wealth and connections had helped him to make his own. Sure, he'd done some dirty deeds here and there, but who hadn't to get to his level. Now he needed Shana again. He had to get Isis away from that damn FBI Agent.

  “Shana?”

She was at his side immediately. “Yes Daddy?”

“I have to get Isis away from that agent who brought her today. I think he's trying to use her to get dirt on me. He wants to send me to prison.”

Shana looked at him. “Which agent?”

  “His name is Marcus Graham.”

Shana knew it was the good-looking one that had come to Isis' defense more than once. She hadn't seen him leave since it appeared they'd taken a different exit.

“What do you want me to do Daddy?” Shana asked.

Milton turned to her. “He has a brother...”

They both turned as the doctor entered the room.

“Mr. Martin, how are you feeling?” the doctor asked.

Milton laid back against the cushions. “I don't know doctor, I'm still in a lot of pain.”

The doctor nodded. “It's the weirdest thing Mr. Martin, your heart looks fine and we can't determine why you're still in so much pain.”

“I guess we just have to wait and see, huh?” Milton said.

The doctor smiled. “Well we've called in a specialist and then we'll have more to go on.”

“A specialist?” Milton asked. “When are they coming?”

“We were lucky enough to get one who was able to come in the morning. So get some rest and we should know more tomorrow.”

Milton nodded and both he and Shana watched the doctor leave. Milton smiled to himself. He would make sure he stayed in this hospital so that Isis would come see him every day. He had to talk some sense into that girl.

*********

Marc rushed over to Isis, lifting her away from the files. He carried her still sobbing into the bedroom and gently laid her on the bed.

“Isis, why did you do that?” he asked.

With her head down she said, “You should've just told me Marcus.”

He lifted her face to his. “I did. Every chance I got.”

Her face scrunched and he pulled her into his arms. “But I never wanted you to find out this way,” he said rubbing her back.

“How do you even look at me?” she cried against his shoulder.

  “You're not your father, baby.”

She held him tighter still crying. “I was so mean to you.”

  “It's okay Princess.”

Isis pulled back and stared into his silver eyes. “I'm so sorry. For everything and everything my father has done.”

“Will you let me handle this?” he asked pointedly. “Without interfering in any way?”

She nodded slowly licking her tears. “Come here Isis.” She jumped into his arms and he held her, kissing her tears away.

“I promise to always take care of you,” he told her before kissing her gently.

Chapter 9

The next morning Isis woke up in a strange bed. She looked around the elegant surroundings as she sat up. The Egyptian cotton sheets fell around her waist before she moved them aside. Sliding from the huge bed, she made her way to the adjoined bathroom. On the counter were some toiletries and on a chair were a few clean shirts that Marcus had apparently left for her.

Isis decided to shower and freshen up before seeking him out. She didn't know how to face him today. Last night she'd discovered who her father really was and she was wrestling with this knowledge. Marcus had been honest with her from the start and even though he'd known her father's deeds, he'd still protected and shielded her.

She'd cried in his arms and he'd held her like a baby until she'd exhausted herself. The last thing she remembered was him holding her and then waking up this morning. Isis undressed and stepped into the shower wondering how things would progress from here. He'd said last night that it wouldn't affect them, but how could it not?

As the water sprayed over her naked form, she put her head back and closed her eyes. Above everything else, she wanted Marcus Graham. He was the complementary force that made her better with him than she could ever be apart. He was strong, solid and unshakeable. Marcus provided the foundation that she would need to get through this situation with her father.

Outside of that, Marcus was fine and sexy. He'd shaken her from their first meeting and had stayed on her mind. He'd been the first man to see and touch her, something that she wanted him to continue to do, on a regular basis. She also wanted to see and touch him as well. He had a beautiful body that did beautiful things to hers.

Isis shut the water off and stepped out of the shower grabbing a large, soft towel. She dried off quickly then took care of her morning necessities using the items he'd left out for her. She didn't have her purse so she didn't worry about touching her face up with any makeup. Marcus had seen her balling her eyes out, she couldn't possibly look worse than that.

Isis donned one of the shirts he'd supplied which consisted of T-Shirts and dress shirts. As she buttoned the expensive shirt over her naked body, she smiled. She couldn't wait until Marcus took it off her. Isis walked through the bedroom and out into the living room where Marcus was lounging on the sofa. He was relaxed in gray sweatpants and a white tank that showed his impressive arms and chest. His attention was on the television so she walked over to look out at the incredible view and to compose herself to confront him.

Without looking up he greeted her. “Good morning Isis.” Marc was trained to detect movement and had known she was awake since the moment her feet had touched the floor. Slowly he turned to see her standing in the sunlight revealing all that was contained underneath his white dress shirt that she wore.

“Good morning Marcus,” she said softly still staring out of the window.

With no warning and without a sound he was behind her. “Did you sleep well?” he asked in her ear.

She shrugged staring at the scenery outside. “I guess. I don't remember falling asleep.”

“Turn around for me,” he instructed and she complied turning to look up into his face. “Are you okay?”

She shook her head slowly. “I don't know.”

“Tell me what you need Princess,” he whispered.

“I need for this all to be a dream. I need for my father to be the man I thought he was,” she said quietly.

Marc put a hand to her face. “What do you need from me?”

“Is this thing between us real Marcus? Or is this just revenge on my father?” she asked confused about everything in her life.

“I've done everything in my power not to want you Isis Martin.” He stroked her cheek. “But how can I look into these beautiful brown eyes and taste those luscious lips...and not want you?” His eyes went to her mouth.

“How can I listen to your laugh, smell your scent and not want you?” Marc's hand went to her waist pulling her closer.

“It's impossible.” His mouth moved over hers. “I've told you, I don't give a damn about your Daddy.”

He touched his lips to hers briefly. “I care about this sweet, beautiful woman right here.”

Marc released the top button of her shirt. “Isis is what I want.”

He released another button. “Isis is what I'm going to have.”

“Isis is now mine and nothing will ever harm her.” Marc lowered his head kissing her before lifting her up against the glass. “Can you work with that?”

Isis wrapped her arms around his neck, her legs around his waist and stared down into his face. “Yes Marcus, I can work with that.”

He pressed against her allowing her to feel his arousal. “Can you work with this?” he asked kissing her neck.

Isis leaned back against the glass tightening her legs around him. She smiled as his mouth moved lower.

“Yes Marcus, I can work with that as well.”

*********

Milton Martin finished his breakfast with a smile. He knew that Isis would probably be arriving any minute now. She'd probably not slept a wink all night worrying about him. He hated doing that to her but it couldn't be helped. He had to make sure she didn't turn against him. Milton needed her, now more than ever. If Isis was able to get the FBI Agent on her side, she could find out exactly what he had on Milton.

The little punk was clearly trying to push up on his daughter. If she was dumb enough to get involved with him, then he'd use it to his advantage...like he did with everything. He smiled again as the door opened.

Milton watched as his doctor entered.

“How are we this morning Mr. Martin?”

Milton laid back against the pillows. “Still in pain doctor. Waiting to hear what you think is wrong with me?”

The doctor checked Milton's chart and scratched his head. “This is the strangest thing Mr. Martin. All your vital signs look positive.”

“Well I guess that's why I'm paying a fortune to be here, so you can find out what the problem is,” Milton told him.

“Well the specialist will be here soon. Maybe we'll get some answers then.” The doctor began making notes on the chart while Milton made himself comfortable.

“So you have no history of heart problems, right Mr. Martin?”

  “Not until yesterday.”

The doctor nodded as he continued writing. “Before yesterday, no pains or feelings of weakness?”

  “Nope.”

  “How's your diet Mr. Martin?”

“My cook makes me the healthiest meals,” Milton answered.

  “Do you exercise?”

Milton nodded. “Three times a week.”

The doctors shook his head perplexed. “Hmmm...this is a mystery. I think I'll leave this to the specialist at this point.”

“Do what you need to do doctor.”

The doctor received a page and exited the room leaving Milton alone. The phone next to the bed rang and Milton picked it up.

  “I'm on my way Daddy!”

Milton closed his eyes. “You don't have to come this morning Shana. Isis is coming, so you can come this evening.”

“Why does she get to come first?” Shana complained.

“I'd rather have dinner with you Shana. Plus you need to work on our plan this morning,” Milton cajoled her.

“Oh yeah, okay Daddy. I'll take care of everything. See you later.”

“See you later. Don't forget the plan Shana,” he reminded her.

Shana laughed. “I won't Daddy. Are you feeling better today?”

“Not really. They're bringing in the specialist today.”

“Awwww...well hopefully they can find out what's wrong and you'll be all better.”

Milton rolled his eyes. “It'll be fine Shana. Just take care of things and I'll see you later.”

As Milton was replacing the receiver, the door opened and he turned to see who was entering. His eyes lit up as the beautifully mature woman walked into the room. She was clearly a physician by the way she was dressed but to Milton she was definitely worth looking at. The woman strolled over to the side of the bed with a smile on her face.

“Mr. Martin?” her soft voice called his name.

Milton sat up quickly. “Yes, that would be me.”

“I understand you're having some issues with your heart.”

He smiled. “Yes, I think you just stole it when you walked in here.”

She smiled down at him and went to pick up his chart. Milton watched her as she looked it over. He had to admit to himself again that she was a beautiful woman. Maybe when he got out of this bed he could call her up.

“This is very interesting Mr. Martin. We definitely have to do something about this,” she said quietly.

“Are you my new doctor?” Milton asked hopefully.

The woman looked up and smiled. “I'm sorry Mr. Martin, I didn't introduce myself.”

“I'm the specialist called in to assist with your condition.” She extended her hand.

“My name is Dr. Camille Smith.”

*********

“Marcus...” Isis breathed as Marc held her against the glass window slowly stroking her eager body.

Marc had instructed her to remain by the window while he quickly went into the bedroom and returned with a few condoms. He'd removed his shirt from her body and Isis had watched as he'd removed his own shirt, revealing his muscled chest. She'd glanced down at the clearly defined outline of his erection inside the gray sweatpants and her eyes had darkened. Marc removed his pants along with his underwear before he'd applied the male protection.

Moving back to her, his gray eyes pinned her as he lifted her back onto the window. Her breath caught as he took her mouth. Slowly he kissed her, savoring her mouth as his hands began a heated exploration of her body.

He smiled at her. “You want to work with this right now?”

“Yes, I think I can handle it.” She smiled back.

Marc lifted a brow as he touched her woman's heat. “You think so?”

She heard his challenge and lifted her own brow. “Yes.”

“So you're a pro now?” he asked.

Isis grabbed his face. “No, but I plan on being one.” She took his bottom lip into her mouth and suckled it hotly.

While she was engaged in her assault on his mouth; Marc slid into her warm, waiting core. Isis moaned into his mouth as she accepted the sensual pleasure and he pulled her closer joining their bodies.

Then in her ear he said, “Let's make you a pro then.”

Isis held on to him tightly as he began to probe deeper inside. She felt the heat of the sun on her back through the glass window. Throwing her head back, she closed her eyes and tightened her hands on the hard muscles of his shoulders. Each stroke from him caused her to take a breath until she began to moan from his kisses and touches on her body.

  “Isis....”

She opened her eyes slowly to stare into blazing platinum ones.

  “You are so beautiful...”

Isis felt herself falling, not physically but deep inside, with every fiber of her being.

“Marcus...”she breathed as he took her away to another place until she saw fireworks behind her now tightly closed eyelids. She repeated his name as she rode the waves of completion.

Marc loved to hear Isis' passionate cries. He also loved her tight, warm body and how she eagerly gave all he demanded. He loved the feel of her hands as she caressed his body. Yeah, there were many reasons he'd never been able to get Isis Martin out of his mind. He'd known she'd be able to evoke feelings deep inside of him. She had from the beginning.

Her eyes opened to stare at him again. He held her gaze as he slowly withdrew from her body. Gently Marc lowered her to the floor watching her.

“Now turn around so we can work on your pro status.” He turned her back to him. “Place your hands on the window.

Isis complied and anticipated what would happen next. With his hands on her waist ,he pulled her behind back towards him. “Brace yourself,” he whispered and she grounded her body while pressing her hands against the glass.

“Good girl.” Marc reached up and released the band holding her hair in a ponytail before quickly tossing it to the side. His hand returned to her hips positioning her for the next round. Making them one again, he groaned softly as she eagerly pressed back into him.

Oh yeah, he thought. She would definitely become a pro and he was going to make sure he was the only one who benefitted from her new status. Marc ran a hand along her spine and watched as she arched her beautiful back perfectly, lifting her butt higher.

“That's it baby...” Marc cheered her on as he held her in place to receive his deep strokes. Hearing her tiny gasps along with watching her sexy ass sent him over the edge and he erupted with a deep groan holding her tightly.

When they separated, Marc disappeared into the bathroom and Isis placed her head against the glass regaining her senses. When he returned, he stood behind her and pressed a hand against the window trapping her between his body and the glass as she watched the scenery below.
