They climbed into the tub. The water, a bit too full, rocked under their weight. Cole cupped his hand to the back of Ian’s neck and kissed Ian gently.

Cole sat behind him, his legs flanking Ian’s sides. He massaged Ian’s broad shoulders, making the sudsy water sway. He thought about all the changes that had happened in his life.

“Love you,” Ian said.

Ian rested his head on Cole’s chest, and Cole tipped his head forward to meet his eyes. “Love you.”

Cole lowered his mouth to Ian’s.

The future was bright ahead of them, full of shimmering promises because they had each other. They had love.

Love was the best home of all.
