Finally he shoved against
her from behind, thrust his engorged penis into her pussy and started fucking
her. In seconds she felt her orgasm start to pulse. “
Ohh
,
yes
yes
!” she shouted.

Almost immediately he
withdrew and instead of the release she so desperately needed, she stood
quivering and calling his name as he shoved the chairs to a different angle, so
that her upper body was slightly more erect, but her legs were further apart.
He stood a moment, kissing the side of her neck and teasing her nipples before
going to his briefcase and retrieved a large rubber penis with an extension arm
on one side.

“Oh, god, Dan,” she
breathed.
“Damn you, damn your tortures.”

“You make it so
enjoyable, Bryn. I know what you like, don’t I?” He stood beside her, watching,
demanding her attention. “Don’t I?” he whispered.

Her cheeks flamed. “Yes,
sir, you do.”

He laughed then began
slapping her flaming ass cheeks with his hands as she cried out, leaping and
jerking. Then he began shoving the big slick dildo in with short strokes until
he had crammed it fully inside with the extension jammed against her swollen
clit. Her knees buckled with the force of it spreading her hips and bringing
its hard fullness into her belly. The whole thing started to pulsate in long
arcing thrusts.

“Dear god! Dan!”

He slapped her ass cheeks
again, sending fire past her knees. Delicious shafts of orgasm started rocking
through her belly. Her hips heaved convulsively.

His hands pulled on her buttocks
and she realized he had shoved lubrication against her asshole. His finger
penetrated the narrow opening, teasing and sliding in and out. Orgasm rocketed
between her legs with each push of his finger, her clit pulsing wildly under
the buzzing appliance.

Then his hard cock began
pushing into her ass. With the dildo already stretching her pussy, the size of
his big penis burned the narrow opening.

“Oh god oh god!” she
cried out.

“Remember your safe word,
Bryn?” he gritted.

“Yes, yes. Don’t stop!”

“Oh, baby, I don’t want
to.”

He worked his way inside
her, grunting and shoving himself along the tight canal as her pussy convulsed
around the dildo. His belly and pubic hair tormented the tight hot skin of her
buttocks. His hands pulled on her hips, forcing his cock deep inside her canal.

“Yes, Bryn, yes,” he
growled.

In and out, he fucked her
ass in long slow strokes while the dildo convulsed her cunt and clit, until her
whole body was covered in sweat and drool collected on her lips. Her voice
became hoarse with her cries. Her mouth hung open.

“Fuck me, oh
god, Dan yes, fuck
me hard!” she yelled.

He increased the force of
his motion as he slammed himself against her hot buttocks. The slide of his penis
inside her made her crazy. She could feel it rasp along the other side of her
flesh where the dildo continued its assault in her vagina.

“You want this, you
bitch? You want this?” He yelled at her, squeezing her red-hot buttocks.

“Yes
yes
yes
, damn you, fucker! Fuck me!”

Every slam of his hips
drove his cock deep up her ass and shoved the dildo against the exact spot she
needed. The extension raged against her swollen clitoris in its constant spasm.
Her body writhed in incessant contractions. She felt him shuddering from the
contact, knew that he felt the dildo pulsing against his length, and wanted his
nuts to ache with it, wanted his asshole to clench and throb like hers in the
force of his long march.

Awww
!”
His voice strained in a hoarse cry of release as his come
started to pump.

She screamed. Hot come
swelled inside her as her anus contracted around his ridged cock. His come
burst in long hot streams inside her ass. Her ass kept squeezing and caressing
as her pussy contracted and surged. Fire burned up her clit and around her
belly in long spirals. Her nipples and breasts contracted and pushed under his
hands. His hips bucked forward in a few last short lunges as he called out
again. She felt him stagger slightly in the dying moments.

Their cries shifted into
gasps and heavy breathing. Slowly, he tapered off and started to withdraw. Then
he removed the dildo from its vicious siege against her clit. She felt his
hands on her ankle ties, then at her wrists.

Her body sagged and he
caught her from falling. In moments he had carried her to the couch and draped
a blanket over her. Her body shuddered and rippled.

After a few minutes, he
appeared with her drink, and she gulped the last of it. He stood over her in
his boxers and socks, the white shirttails still hanging to his thighs.

“Are you okay, Bryn?”

“Umm.
Yeah,” she whispered. Her head fell
back against the couch as her breathing slowed.

He sat down beside her
and pulled her against his chest, tucking the blanket around her legs,
caressing her hair, and murmuring words of comfort.

Chapter 19

They hardly talked through dinner. He
wore flannel pajama pants and a t-shirt and she wore her old terrycloth robe
over her pajamas and thick socks in her house shoes as they sat on the couch
watching television and devouring warm cobbler and ice cream. He kept feeding
wood into the stove as cold tightened around the house. She brought him extra
blankets for the night before collapsing into bed.

Maybe she should think
about what had happened between them, maybe not. She didn’t want to, didn’t
feel like it required analysis. It felt too good to question. He had come
prepared, thought about what she might like, took care of her afterwards. It
was different from before, friendlier,
more
intimate.
That much she accepted before she turned off her mind and drifted to sleep.

She heard him at the
stove early and felt the cold air as she pulled herself out of bed and hurried
to make coffee. His gaze followed her as she cooked breakfast. His light hair stuck
out in all directions. His shoulders stretched the insulated shirt he wore and
she tried to keep her view off the jeans and what was crammed inside them.
Whatever the gene pool these cousins emerged from, she saluted it.

He leafed through papers
in the briefcase and had his things ready to go when the big dually truck
appeared in the driveway. With a heavy work coat retrieved from his car, he
stood talking at the truck window for several minutes before fitting himself
inside. They drove toward the cabin. A short time later the truck reappeared
and parked on the far side of the driveway. She watched men pull tripods and
equipment out of the back and start setting up. Dan came back to the house.

“They’re set,” he said,
holding his gloved hands toward the stove. “I’m out of here.”

“Thanks,” she began, “it
was good having you here to discuss some of these details.”

He looked at her with
half closed eyes, like he knew what she wasn’t saying. His lips curved
slightly. “Good discussion.”

“Oh.
Yeah.”

Alex took one look at Dan and knew
he’d had Bryn again. He left the office early, went to a bar by the riverfront,
and drank himself stupid.

It didn’t help. He looked
at every woman who passed, that night and subsequent nights, trying to work up
some interest. They all appeared two-dimensional, like cutouts from a magazine.

He forced himself each
day to focus on the work piled up on his desk and design tables, multiple
projects with demanding clients who had their own ideas of how their structures
should look. It never failed that at first they said, oh, whatever you think,
and then after hours of work creating a look that had coherence, beauty and the
right budget, they came back with, well, how about if you did this, or could we
have that.

His anger flared, and
more than once he caught himself only seconds before blasting somebody with the
sharp side of his tongue. He wore himself down as the weeks passed, forgetting
to eat, working late and starting to drink before he left the office, so that
by the time he got home and sat on his couch staring at the walls, a welcome
haze of alcohol hovered between him and the increasingly painful memory of Bryn
McClure.

Dan came into his office.

“Why don’t you go down
there?” Dan said, leaning in the doorway. “It’s like I’m watching you die
here.”

“What the hell are you
talking about?”

Dan laughed.
“Seriously?”

“Yeah.”

“That damn woman.
Bryn.
You’ve been curling up on the vine for months. I
thought you started this project with her so you’d have an excuse to go see
her.”

Alex glared at Dan.
“That’s not why, and I don’t have time.”

“Bullshit. I think you
don’t have the balls.”

Alex froze. His jaw
clenched, and his pulse pounded in his throat. “What?” he asked in a
dangerously quiet voice. He forced himself not to stand up. Much as he’d like
to put a fist through Dan’s face at this exact moment, he knew he couldn’t go
there.

“You heard me. You’ve got
a thing for her. Why don’t you take a weekend and go get a piece of her ass?”

Alex felt his chest
heaving. He stood up and stepped around his desk. “Dan, I think you need to
shut the fuck up and get out of my office.”

Dan held up his hands.
“Hey, don’t kill the messenger. I don’t get it, Alex. You want
something,
you need to go after it. Why give up?”

“You mean, like I gave up
on Cathleen? When you took her?”

Dan’s eyes narrowed.
“That was one,” he breathed. “I got what I deserved, didn’t I?” He slid
sideways into a chair, avoiding Alex’s menacing pose.

“And I guess the guy you
caught her with got the broken jaw he deserved, right?”

“Yeah,” Dan gritted, “but
who knows how many other pricks went unpunished. But you know what, aside from
the humiliation of being a laughing stock all over the St. Louis construction industry,
I think I’m getting over Cathleen. Thanks to you and Bryn. I’m sorry that you
got caught up in this. You know, no good deed goes unpunished,” he chuckled.

“She wants you, Dan, for whatever
sick thrill it is she gets out of this kinked up weird shit she likes so much.
I can’t do that, you know? I don’t have that instinct.”

“Are you trying to say
I’m just naturally an ass?” Dan cocked his eyebrow.

“Yes,” Alex replied
without smiling.

“Well, goddamn it Alex,
go get some
assedness
. What the hell? You think women
like Bryn come along every day?”

Alex stared at Dan. What
the hell was he trying to say, that he didn’t want her? That he didn’t get off
on dominating her, didn’t want to be part of it? He knew better.

“Get out, Dan,” he
finally said, tired to the bone. “I’ve got to get these drawings finished for
Colbert.”

Dan sat in the chair a
few more minutes, then stood up and left the office without another word.

Bryn watched as days passed with men
coming and going up the driveway. She cooked massive amounts of chili, beef
stew, lasagna, baked chicken and more. She resisted the urge to dish up a lot
of extras. Dan had given specific instructions and probably expected to see her
expenses lined up accordingly. Two weeks and halfway through the third, Rob
said they were finishing and this would be their last day for dinner.

After they left, things
pretty much came to a standstill, waiting for Alex to show up with the engineer
to stake out the house sites. Every day she walked the land, not only because
she felt closer to Alex that way, but also because she enjoyed the strength and
vigor that it fostered in her body. A few days after the surveyors left, she
walked out along the bench of land and looked at all the red-flagged stakes.
How this could translate into houses boggled her mind. So much work to be done.
And her part so small.

She had heard nothing
from Alex and didn’t know what to do next. She almost didn’t want to hear from
him. All those intense feelings boiled to the surface and she was thrown back
into another agonized whirlwind of grief that not even a couple of
conversations with
Steph
could relieve. She tried to
shift her thoughts to Dan, but it didn’t work. Much as she enjoyed his talents
at dominating her, her interest in him didn’t go beyond kink. And even that
flagged somehow in the absence of Alex.

The worst came late at
night, when her suffering stared back at her in the mirror and she had no one
but herself to blame. How had she drifted so far from her resolute vow to focus
on her own future? Why couldn’t she be strong enough to live without wanting a
man?

Alex called that afternoon. She got
goose bumps the minute she heard his voice.
