Two Months later on a cold December morning Morgan and I were stood with our closest family
and friends in the Hotel function suite saying our vows, I had to have a new dress made but my
maids of honour were all thrilled to finally get to wear their beautiful crimson silk floor length
gowns, Louisa had been buzzing around pretending to fly in her fairy costume complete with
sparkly silver wings, my dress was fitted at the bust then floated out over my rather large bump for
18 weeks gone. My hair was braided and fell over one shoulder decorated with tiny white flowers
no veil or train as I didn't want it too fussy, silver shoes and lots of swarovski crystals sown onto the
full net skirt.
Morgan, Simon, Harrison my Uncle and Antonio had matching dark grey pinstripe suits and looked
very dashing, Luca had asked Antonio to give me away as my brother was my closest relative but I
wanted both so I walked proudly with one either side of me, Kate, Olivia and Carmella looked
stunning I couldn't help noticing the looks of adoration from Simon and Thomas. The vows
exchanged we retired to the ballroom for food and music the afternoon flowed nicely everyone
happy Lorna had blubbed her way through the entire day and I had been hugged so many times
my ribs hurt.
Yesterday I went for my first scan while Morgan was at his last physio, he was so cross to miss it
that we had booked ourselves a 3d one for the following week, what he didn't know was how the
scan went, I would leave that surprise for later. The food was stunning having a Michelin star chef
was definitely the best decision we had made and the murmurs of appreciation were evident
throughout all four courses. The speeches were very moving especially Simon's and Antonio's even
Morgan got emotional when Simon revealed his genuine love of the man he very nearly lost, they
had a man hug after and the whole place was sniffing. Antonio set me off expressing his frustration
at keeping himself secret from his kid sister and leaving her to deal with all the fallout alone, I
hadn't known how much guilt he had carried over those few years, talking about my parents death
was like a knife in the heart but we raised a glass to them and I knew they were smiling down on us
today. Our first dance was “If you're not the one” Leo was singing it for us. Tiredness was a big part
of this second trimester and I had to keep sitting down and catching my breath Morgan kept taking
the piss but I took it on the chin despite wanting to lamp him. I sat in the corner watching
everyone, Kate and Simon were getting married soon and had bought a house not far from us,
Carmella and Thomas weren't far behind by the looks they were giving each other. Sara was four
weeks pregnant with baby number two and they were hoping for a boy this time, Olivia was now
totally recovered from her eating disorder and making a name for herself in the art world she was
headed to New York soon for an exhibition and Antonio had offered her a room while she was over
there. Lorna and Harrison were heading back to Spain tomorrow with a newly engaged Rose and
Leo and we were going in a months’ time for a few weeks so I could take it easy in my last few
weeks of pregnancy I would however return for the birth. Lorna and Margaret were knocking back
the wine, Tony was dancing with one of the bar men, he looked happy he gave me a wink our
friendship was rock solid as our driver he had taken his role seriously and gained Morgan's respect
we couldn't manage without him.
Karaoke was starting at Kate's request she wanted a replay of Lorna's and Margaret’s duet and it
didn't take much persuasion after the wine they had both consumed, Harrison and Morgan were
stood at the bar and their faces were priceless when they watched the pair giggling and dancing on
the stage, actually Harrison looked adoringly at Lorna they were so in love she could have been up
there in fancy dress and he would still approve. The pair were cheered and then to my surprise
Morgan got up, I stared in shock when he started to sing “you are so beautiful” in a stunning raspy
voice that had me wanting to rip his clothes off immediately, he walked over to me whilst there
was rapturous applause
“That was for you Mrs Drake” I stood up and disgracefully snogged him not caring who saw me he
groaned into my mouth
“we need to go baby I have wanted you all day but now it hurts thanks to that kiss” I released him
“ five more minutes” I walked over to the microphone and spoke to the DJ everyone stopped what
they were doing
“this song is for all of you, my family and friends some from my past and some from my present
and one whom I never thought I would see again” I smiled at my brother
“ it’s for my wonderful parents who I miss every day and for the beautiful man who saved my life
and taught me to love and has given me the greatest gift of life” I patted my bump
“These are my future they are our legacy “there was confusion in the room
“And I am happy to announce that they are twins! And that why I am so fat and knackered Drake!!”
Morgan's jaw dropped open everyone stood and cheered Lorna was off sniffling again, I grinned at
my wonderful family as Morgan came to me and kissed my hand
“I always like to have the last word Drake don't forget it” he took my face and kissed me
“You can always have the last word but I want you crying out my name when I get you upstairs
baby you have had your five minutes” I shook my head
“Song first it is for my mum it was her favourite” he stepped away as I nodded to Steve the DJ and
as I sang
“somewhere over the rainbow” I looked up to the sky and sang to my parents I was lost in the
music and every emotion I had poured out of me, I wasn't aware of the silence and all eyes were
focused on me. While I was singing Morgan stood before me entranced and when I finished there
wasn't a dry eye in the house Morgan swept me up in his arms
“Ladies and gentlemen thank you for coming please enjoy the rest of the evening but if you don't
mind my wife and I will retire to the Honey moon suite”. The cheers were deafening and I was
carried all the way there straight to our bed decorated with petals
“The last word you say tonight is
Morgan
and that will be when I make you come” his mouth met
mine and his words came true except what I actually said was “Oh shit Morgan I love you so much!”
