CHAPTER NINETEEN

Enrique runs into his primo, Ricky. “Primo, I was leaving the contracts for the new client, Lopez’s new buildings, for your review. We have the meeting today at two with el Senor Lopez. Let me know if you want any changes,” said Ricky.

Jose Enrique is sitting down at his desk arranging the files. He looks up into Ricky’s cara smiling. “Primo I will review them. I’m sure you did a great job, like always. I will let you know if I need any changes to the contracts. I researched our new client, Lopez. The new client appears to have the requirements that we look for when we go into contracts. I just want you there this time. I want your feel on our new client. I met him at the Nunez inauguration and … I don’t know. I cannot put mi finger on it. I just have this feeling.”

“Will do, are you coming out with us tonight to the club?” asks Ricky, observing Jose Enrique with interest.

“Si, I am, and I will be bringing Jessy with me. Try to get las primas to go. Maybe you can get the twins y Erica to go. I don’t know if they know Jessy. They probably do since she’s really close to Paty,” said Jose Enrique

“Okay, I will let las primos know that we are all going. I think that even Chris and Javier are here for the weekend,” said Ricky.

“Primo let’s take an earlier lunch so we can have time to work out before our two o’clock meeting with Lopez. Order us some sandwiches, you know what I like. Make sure to get Tony to have lunch and to work out with us. You know if we leave Tony alone, he will just keep on working through his lunch, and he will never work out,” said Jose Enrique.

“Okay, primo, will get on it,” said Ricky exiting the office.

Jose Enrique starts to review the contracts and building designs. It appears that the quality, designs, and costs are all in line with the company services.

I need to call Jessy to tell her I will be picking her up for dinner, and then we will be going to the club. I will not have time later.

He calls Jessy, and she answers on the first ring. “Hola mi amor, buenos dias, how are you?” asks Jose Enrique.

“Hola, mi vida, I am really excited. I cannot wait to start work on Monday. I have already started the list that you requested. I also have several ideas. I was thinking that for the clients that will be interested in the additional interior designs service, that are also on a budget, we can offer some standard packages for them to select from. We can also have package that will allow the client’s to have an extensive options for their selection. These clients will be able to participate in their own unique designs. Si they will be able to make their selection based on each client’s specific needs.” said Jessy in a real excited voice.

“Mi amor, I think that you have a great idea there. The packages can be simple, inexpensive packages for our clients who are budget conscious. I can see your excellent management skills. I just love it,” said Jose Enrique. “I’m calling earlier, mi amor, because I will be having a meeting with a new client at two, and I was going to be too busy to call. I just want to ask if it is okay for me to pick you up at five for dinner, and then we can go to the club. Mis primos will be there. You can also invite Jacki if you want.”

“That sounds lovely. Okay, I will invite Jacki. I will see you later at five,” said Jessy, “Adios mi vida.”

“Adios, mi amor,” said Jose Enrique. Just as he is hangs up the phone his office door opens. His primos walk in, ready to work out and for lunch.

“Yeah, let’s go. I really need to work out. I have a lot of energy to burn,” said Jose Enrique. He then stands y grabs his gym bag.

“I bet you do,” said Ricky with a big grin.
I know that Jose Enrique is burning for his novia. I will not make any comments. I know he will kill me. I know better.

“Okay, let’s go,” said Tony walking out of the office.
I don’t want to even touch that. Jose Enrique will kill me.

“You did get mi favorite sandwich, right, Ricky?” asks Jose Enrique as they enter the gym.
I do think that this is the greatest thing I did for the company, it was to install the gym for the employees. Our employees are encouraged to be fit. That also means less illness and fewer absences.

The primos had their lunch and went to work out.
Si, the work out really takes the edge off
, thought Jose Enrique, reviewing the job sites.

It is time to go to the conference cuarto to wait for Lopez. I know that Ricky and Tony will be there.

“Yes, Mr. Lopez. Mr. De La Cruz is waiting for you to start the meeting. Please follow me,” the receptionist starts to walk toward the conference cuarto.

The receptionist directs Mr. Lopez to the conference cuarto and opens the door for him. “Mr. De La Cruz, Mr. Lopez has arrived,” the receptionist announces, closing the door as she leaves the conference room.

Jose Enrique stands up to greet Senor Lopez offering his mano in greeting. “It is very nice to see you again, Senor Lopez. I hope you didn’t have a difficult time locating our office? I will like to introduce Senor Anthony De La Cruz our architect and Senor Ricardo De La Cruz our attorney who draws up the building contracts.”

Tony walks up to Senor Lopez extending his mano in greeting. He shakes his mano. “It is nice to meet you. I know you will find that all of my designs meet your requirements.”

Ricky also walks up to Senor Lopez and greets him extending his mano. “Hi it is nice to meet you.”

“Why don’t you have a seat, Senor Lopez? Senor De La Cruz can start the presentations on several buildings that he designed specifically for you, based on your answers on the questionnaire we sent you. I believe you will agree that they will meet your needs. I’m confident that you will make a selection on the one that you will like to have us build,” said Jose Enrique as he went to the wall to dim the lights.

“As you can see Senor Lopez this building has a court yard that has a Mexican influence. The courtyard will have a waterfall at the center and benches around the courtyard for your customers as they go on about their purchases. The pillars have arches and provide shade for the customers as they go from one store to the other. The following building has the …” went on Tony until he reached the conclusion of his presentation.

“As you can see that each building design meets the features and requirements that you requested in the questionnaire. I know that one of them will meet with your approval,” said Tony then moves to take his seat.

“Senor Lopez, you can see that we incorporated every feature and requirement into consideration in designing your building. I know that they meet your approval. Do you have any questions on any of the buildings that you will like Mr. De La Cruz to answer?” asks Jose Enrique.

“Senor De La Cruz, I will admit that I’m pleasantly surprise. I didn’t think that you could design a building with all my specifications. I believe that you did have one that I will like your company to build. I extremely liked the first building with the courtyard. It really reminds me of Mexico, and I feel it also gives the customers a romantic shopping experience,” said Senor Lopez.

“Senor Lopez, I am pleased you liked the building with the courtyard. It is also my favorite. I do agree with you on the atmosphere that you want your customers to enjoy when they are shopping,” said Jose Enrique with a smile.

“We have prepared the building contract with the cost and terms for your review. I will leave you for a few moments with Senor De La Cruz to answer any questions that you may have,” said Jose Enrique as he stands to leave for a few moments with Tony.

Senor Lopez reviews the contract. Senor Lopez asks a few questions on the terms and conditions. Senor Lopez is truly satisfied with the cost and terms of the contract for the building.

“Senor De La Cruz, I am satisfied with the cost and terms of the contract for the building. I also feel that I received fair treatment and price. I will like to sign the contract and give you the deposit today.”

“Senor Lopez, I am pleased that the building and cost meets with your satisfaction. It is very important to the company to keep our customers happy. I will go and call Senor De La Cruz back in,” said Ricky as he stands up to go and get Jose Enrique y Tony.

Ricky exits the conference room and went to Jose Enrique’s office to advise him of the transaction. Walking into the office, he immediately tells Jose Enrique y Tony the status, and they quickly went to Senor Lopez.

“Senor Lopez, De La Cruz Inc. is extremely pleased that you selected our firm to build your building. The De La Cruz Inc. trademark is quality and cost control. We sincerely take our client’s needs seriously,” said Jose Enrique.

Jose Enrique sits down with Senor Lopez and has Ricky direct him where the signatures are needed. Senor Lopez pulls out his checkbook and writes up the amount for the deposit.

“Senor Lopez, it has been a pleasure to start a business relationship with your company. If you think of any questions later, please feel free to give us a call. Our contact information is in the contracts for your convenience,” said Jose Enrique with a genuine smile.

“Senor De La Cruz, it has been a pleasure. De La Cruz Inc. has met my requirements, and I feel assured that the entire building construction will go smoothly. We will stay in touch,” said Senor Lopez as they exit the office.

Jose Enrique walks Senor Lopez to the elevator. He then walks back to the conference cuarto. “I want to thank you, primos, for your excellent work. I know that you two worked hard to have the building contracts and building designs ready for the presentation to our new client, Senor Lopez,” said Jose Enrique with a pleased smile.

Jose Enrique walks back to his office feliz y content with life. Another major construction is under way. Jose Enrique turns and looks at his primos with a grin. They were smiling also. “It’s time to party! Let’s clean up and leave,” said Jose Enrique.

at exactly five o’clock, Jose Enrique stands waiting anxiously for Jessy to open the door and immediately takes her into his brazos for a quick beso.

I know that Jacki will be coming with us. I will just have to keep myself under control.

“Hola mi vida, you’re on time. I am ready,” said Jessy as she turns around for him to see her in a flirty flowered skirt with a halter top causing him to shudder.

I just knew it.
The halter top is going to drive him crazy. She grins at him as he pulls her into his brazos with urgency.

Yeah, she’s killing me slowly. I thought the work out at the gym would take care of mi excess energy and passion. Don’t think so. I’m just as passionate as always. I just know tonight is going to test mi patience. The halter top is such a turn on. Just thinking of her tight sweet nipples is going to drive me crazy. She smells so delicious.
Pulling her closer to him and passionately kisses her.

Jessy can feel his need and her body is rapidly responding.
We need to stop. His beso is so yummy.

“Okay, I’m ready, Jessy,” said Jacki exiting her cuarto, walking down the hall to the living cuarto just as they were pulling away.
Yeah, at it again
, thought Jacki.

“Okay, let’s go. Los primos are waiting at the club,” said Jose Enrique taking Jessy’s mano. They stroll to the carro.

In a few moments they were at the club. Walking up to door they are able to see los primos. They have selected a table for the entire party.

“Come on, over here,” said Jose Enrique hugging Jessy along his side.

“Sit here, mi amor. Jacki sit next to Jessy. Primos, its mi pleasure to introduce you to Jacqueline Cortez, she’s Jessy’s hermana. Jacki, I will like to introduce you to Bella, Paty, Erica, las bebes Claudia y Veronica, Ricky, Tony, Alex, y Javier. Where’s Chris? Do you know Bella y Paty, Jacki?” asks Jose Enrique siting down next to Jessy. “Mi amor, have you met the las bebes y Erica before?”

“Chris went to meet his SEAL buddy outside,” said Ricky, looking at Jacki with interest.

“Mi amor, si, I have met toda tu familia before. Remember I always spend lots of time at tu casa with Paty,” Jessy grins. “You were there too.”

Pulling Jessy closer, enveloping her in his brazos, he whispers into her ear, “Mi bella amor, I will give you all the attention that you want now,” he said tenderly kissing her cheek. “I want to dance, mi amor. I want to hold you,” whispers Jose Enrique in a husky voz.

He stands up walking Jessy to the dance floor. He immediately pulls her into his brazos, slowly dances with her whispering in her ear everything that he desires to love, making her tremble.

“You’re killing me, mi vida. You will just have to wait. I think you will have to wait until mañana. It looks like all you’re getting is besos,” said Jessy pulling back smiling into his ojos.

“Mi amor, you’re a tease. I will wait until mañana,” as they continue to dance whispering all their love and passion for each other.

Ricky stands up striding around the table to reach Jacki. He asks Jacki to dance before his primos or any other guey has a chance.

I can see that they are eyeing her. I know that they have not seen her at the office before. Good thing I’m not the only fool that missed out on this muneca. The only problema is that she is Jessy’s hermana. No playing free here.

Christian walks over to his hermana Erica and hugs her. “Hermana I want you to meet mi SEAL buddy. He is great. I just know that you two will hit it off. Please just meet him. If you don’t like him that will be okay,” said Christian looking at Erica with a smile.

“Okay, hermano. Will do,” said Erica walking outside the club with Christian to meet his SEAL buddy.

Erica turns to her hermano Chris. “Please, give me a few minutes,” she said looking at his SEAL buddy with anger.

Chris looks at his hermana and is confused with her anger y request. Chris turns around and walks back into the club.
Damn, what’s up? Mi hermana knows Gabriel?
He went right to the bar asking for a cold Corona.

Tony y Alex are at the bar drinking their cerveza. They turn around to talk to Chris as he approaches.

“What’s going on? Why is Erica upset? Why did you leave her alone so quickly with your SEAL buddy? What are you doing?” asks Alex with concern.

“Did your buddy say something to her?” Tony is looking out the window to see what’s going on. “We told you she’s scared of tough guys. She never wanted to meet your SEAL buddy,” said Tony as he takes a drink of his cerveza.

“I know. And I don’t know what’s going on. Erica is acting like she already knows mi SEAL buddy. I don’t know if they have something going on. I just don’t know. I am just as surprise as you,” said Chris taking a big drink of his cerveza. “Erica asked me to give them some minutes alone,” shaking his cabeza.

Jose Enrique y Jessy approach los primos. “Matt, a Corona, please,” said Jose Enrique to the bartender turning to los primos. “What’s up? Why the caras?”

“Erica is outside with mi SEAL buddy,” said Chris. “We don’t know what’s going on. It appears like they already knew each other, and they have something going on. Erica is crying, and I don’t know why,” said Chris, taking another big drink of his cerveza.

“Why are you inside and not outside with her?” demands Jose Enrique turning around to look outside the window.

“Erica asked me to leave them alone, so they can talk,” said Chris, taking another big drink of his cerveza.

“Tu SEAL buddy better not hurt her, Chris,” said Alex, another of Erica’s hermanos, with some anger. Alex walks over to the window to look at Erica to make sure she is okay. He didn’t like what he notices.

Erica is hugging Chris’s Navy SEAL buddy. It is obvious that something is going on with them. The SEAL is really possessive. He is hugging Erica really close, rocking her as if to calm her, stroking her back.

Alex stands there, observing their interaction. Erica reaches up to take his cara into her manos, pulling him down for un beso.
Well, that says it all
, thought Alex turning away.

I wonder where and when mi little hermana met the SEAL. She never wanted to meet a SEAL. It always seemed like the thought of meeting a Navy SEAL overwhelmed her.

“I think she does have a relationship with your SEAL buddy, Chris,” said Alex approaching los primos.

“Why do you say that, primo?” asks Jose Enrique hugging his fiancée, Jessy, closer to him.

“I was observing their interaction. Chris’s buddy is hugging Erica really close, extremely possessive. Erica then reaches up for un beso,” said Alex taking a big drink of his cerveza.

“Yeah, I know something is going on with them. I don’t know the details. I am just as surprise as you,” said Chris, taking another deep drink.

“What’s so wrong with her having something going on with tu SEAL buddy, Chris?” asks Jose Enrique, concerned for his prima.

“Nothing really, only that she grew upset when I introduce them. All I know is what we all know. That she didn’t want to meet a SEAL,” said Chris looking out the window.

“Mi vida, I cannot locate Jacki,” said Jessy. “I want to confirm that she’s enjoying herself. Mi hermana tends to be shy y quiet. She doesn’t go out to clubs.”

“Mi amor, I will ask las primas if they have seen her, okay?” assured Jose Enrique. “Don’t worry, she’s probably dancing, and you just can’t see her.”

“Paty, Bella, do you know where Jacki went? Jessy can’t see her y wants to know that she’s okay?” asks Jose Enrique.

“Si, hermano, Jacki is dancing with Ricky,” said Paty with a grin. “You know how he loves hot chicas.”

“Thanks, hermana,” said Jose Enrique.
Just wonderful, the playboy has his grasps in her. He better not hurt her. That’s all I need.

“Mi amor, Jacki is dancing with Ricky. She will be okay. Ricky will never hurt her,” said Jose Enrique with a prayer.

“Oh, really, do you think Ricky likes her? Jacki is shy and hasn’t dated much,” said Jessy. “I will look for her again in a while just to make sure she’s okay.”

“That’s sounds good. She is probably dancing y having fun. The club is big, they are probably on the other side,” said Jose Enrique, praying it is true.

“Come on, let’s dance. I love that song,” said Jose Enrique, pulling her to the dance floor.

It is still early. I will start calling Ricky in a few hours. He best not be playing with sweet Jacki
, thought Jose Enrique.

Jose Enrique is enjoying the night with his amor and didn’t notice all the pictures that are being taken. After a couple of slow songs the music changed to some fast songs, Jose Enrique decides to get them a drink.

“Mi amor, let’s get something to drink. It’s crowded, hot after dancing, I need a drink,” said Jose Enrique taking her mano.

His phone starts ringing. Jose Enrique takes it out to see who it is. It’s Ricky, great. “Yeah, primo, where are you? We cannot find you. Is everything okay?” asks Jose Enrique a little anxious.

“Si, primo we are okay. Jacki is just feeling really warm in the club and asked me to take her outside for some fresh air. Jacki wants me to take her to su casa. The club is too overcrowded for her. Is that okay with you y Jessy?” asks Ricky, gazing at Jacki.

“Mi amor, it’s Ricky. He said that Jacki is okay. He said that Jacki wants him to take her back to your casa. She feels that the club is overcrowded. I know Ricky will not hurt her. What do you think?” asks Jose Enrique, gazing into Jessy’s ojos.
Hmmm, is she okay with this?

“Okay, mi vida. Ricky can take Jacki a casa if that is what she wants. I know she doesn’t like clubs,” said Jessy, smiling nodding.

“Yeah, primo, we are okay with that. We know Jacki will be okay with you. See ya,” said Jose Enrique, hugging Jessy.
