“But if you’re not gay,” she stopped for a second, unsure how to complete her statement without offending him.

“Jade, you’re stereotyping.  Although it is true that most straight guys won’t admit that they like it, the anus is highly sensitive—it’s like the backdoor clit,” he laughed.  “And it’s the best way to get to the prostate gland.”

“So, when I learn more, you’ll actually trust me to tie you up?”

He pulled her into the pile of pillows and then rolled on top of her, spreading her thighs and placing himself comfortably between them.  His expression was serious, “Trust is a two way street; if you trust me, then I’ve got to get to a place where I trust you completely.”

“You make that sound kind of scary.”

“I think it is,” he whispered.

“Why?”

“Because I’m not talking about sex,” he answered and followed his words with a brief brush of their lips.

“Love?”

He nodded.  “I’ve never let a woman in—you’re the only one, Jade.  I liked a few, but my heart has always belonged to me—I didn’t trust them with it.”

Jade turned her face to look where he’d placed the velvet box.  She reached out and picked it up and put it in his hand, “Ask what you didn’t earlier.”

“You picked up on that, huh?  I guess every man is afraid of rejection at some point.  I’d rather enjoy the fantasy and believe you
might
love me someday.  Trust leaves me open to a broken heart; I don’t want to know what that feels like.”

“Don’t wait for someday, trust me now, Ethan.”

“But are you ready?  I haven’t given you much time.”

“I gave you trust last night, and I was scared-to-death to do it.  I felt that broken heart that you don’t want to experience when I walked into my office and saw James.  Ask me how I felt when I saw you.”

“You already told me you were glad it was me,” he said, dodging the actual issue.

“Ask me—ask me how I feel about you now.”

He swallowed, “You don’t have to do this if you aren’t ready…if you don’t mean it.”

“I’m ready to answer, just ask what you’re afraid to know.”

He looked down and studied the ring in the box.  He slowly removed it and held it with his fingertips and then took her left hand in to his.  “Jade Rios,” he inhaled and seemed to be holding his breath, “will you marry me?”

Her eyes filled with tears as she nodded, “I love you, Ethan.  I think I have for a long time, but I thought you were taken.  Yes—absolutely yes—I’d love to marry you.”

He slipped the ring onto her finger.  It was about a half-size too small but she didn’t care; they’d get it resized.

“You made me promise not to turn into a jerk.  I’m giving you my heart and asking you to promise not to break it.”

“Deal,” she answered in a choked whisper.

He wiped the tears from her cheeks and gave her a slow and sensual kiss.  His kiss before had been forceful, possessive, and controlling; this kiss was decadent, erotic, and vulnerable.

“Can we make love
now
?” she teased.

The look in his eyes was so intense it was almost frightening.  She had a feeling she was going to have the first true love-making experience of her life.

What an indulgent intimacy as they kissed, caressed, stroked, and explored each other.  Ethan evidently believed the
entire
body should be involved when the focus was ‘making love.’  She didn’t think there was a square inch of skin on her body that he left out.  She knew he had no fears about kissing even the most intimate (or even taboo) areas of her body, but it still surprised her that when he reached her feet he kissed them with as much passion and adoration as if he was kissing her face—she loved his total commitment to the experience—and she responded with equal passion.

“Whatever you do,” he said as they were once again face-to-face, “don’t close your eyes—look into mine.”

She stared up into that beautiful face and felt the love rush over her as real as if it could physically be poured onto someone.  She nodded, dug her heels into the mattress and tilted her hips to the perfect angle to accept him.

“I haven’t had sex without a condom since my very first time so I don’t know how long I’m going to last, but I’ll try to get off when you do,” he said as he began to push his heated hardness inside her willing body.  “Damn, Jade,” he stated in awe, “you feel like heaven.”

She was trying to remember that he’d asked her not to close her eyes, but she’d never stared at a man as he took her—it was mind-blowing!  She was flexing the muscles in the back of her thighs and in her ass involuntarily, moving her body in a pulsing up and down dance beneath him.  She couldn’t get over how utterly hot the skin on his cock felt inside her!

She was locked in place underneath him, his perfect biceps on each side of her, his defined pecks and carved abs appearing to ripple as he rose high enough above her so they could both see the union of their bodies; her legs spread with him perfectly moving inside her.  He would withdraw each time to the point where she could feel the head of his cock just about to come out of her entrance and they could see his wet shaft before it plunged back inside.  Damn it was the sexiest thing to watch!

He changed his stroke and began making short quick movements, pounding hard and fast against her wet pussy.  Her clit was so anxious for the contact that it almost felt as if she was peeing on herself but she knew he was making her come, truly come as the wetness inside her increased like a flood—a sexy, wet, and ready to orgasm flood.

“Don’t stop,” he pled, feeling the change in her body.  “I can feel it, Jade.  You’re starting to come on my cock.  Don’t stop.  Fuck!  Don’t stop!  I’m comming in you—now, Jade now!”

The center of her universe, at the moment, was directly between her legs.  Her body clinched and tightened as the shocks and tingles took over.  She was crying out, closing her eyes, when she felt his hands on either side of her face telling her to look at him.

It was an orgasm in blue!  His beautiful eyes so indescribably intent on her face as he climaxed.  She’d never actually
felt
a man come inside her; Ethan was different.  She could feel his liquid as it shot from inside of him to the inside of her—she loved it!

It wasn’t until they were lying there kissing each other over and over, that she realized they were panting and covered in sweat.

“Don’t pull out,” she said between breaths.

“I’m not going anywhere,” he smiled and then kissed the tip of her nose.

“I want to lay like this forever.  I’ll just keep you inside me until we grow this way,” she teased.

“Umm,” he replied, pushing his groin harder into hers, “I’d like that, but it’ll really make work awkward.”

She laughed.  God, she loved the way he could always make her laugh!  “I love you, Ethan Stone—and I can’t wait until the day you change my last name to match yours.”

“You say when, and I’ll make your wish come true.”

“Are you okay with a big wedding?”

He smiled, “I had a feeling that was part of the happily-ever-after thing.”

“You,” she said, going up on one elbow and brushing her hair away from her face, “are my prince charming—that makes me happy no matter what.”

The kiss was sweet.

Before dawn broke through their window the next morning they were up and dressed; they both had work today.

Since Jade didn’t bring any clothes with her, she needed to go home.  Ethan on the other hand, had clothes, but he opted to follow her back to her place.  He said they could stop at the apartment after work and he’d pick up the majority of his things.  They left his car at her house and then rode into work together from there.

It wasn’t completely unusual for them to walk into the office at the same time, but Julian had already made it in.  Hiram was standing at the reception desk talking to Julian and Kristen when they approached.

“There you are,” Hiram said, looking at Jade.  “You won’t believe who you get to interview next week.”

“Who?”

“Jordie Michaels.”

“The singer?” she asked in surprise.  “But why me?  He’s a freaking superstar.  Wouldn’t Kelly be the right choice?” she said, indicating their entertainment reporter.

“No.  First she doesn’t have quite as much experience as you; I need the best.  And not when the interview isn’t about his singing; it’s because he’s moving to the Tampa area.”

She started to say something when she noticed Kristen’s eyes glued to the engagement ring on her finger.  Oddly enough, she wasn’t speaking.  She just sat there with her mouth open.

“That’s perfect,” Ethan spoke up.  “I want the assignment, boss.”

“I was going to send Julian,” Hiram rebutted.

“No, it’s okay.  Let Ethan have this one—he has a lot more in common with Jordie than I do.”

“B-but,” Kristen sputtered to life, “Jordie Michael’s isn’t gay anymore.  He went straight and married that girl he wrote the ‘Bluest Rose’ song about—Sapphire something-or-another.”

Ethan gripped Jade’s left hand and kissed the back of it, “Haven’t you heard,” he said leaning toward Kristen.

Julian was smiling, but Hiram and Kristen stood there like a pair of mimes unable to speak.

“I’m not gay either,” he finished.  “Jade swept me off my feet.”

“Poppy-cock!” Hiram blurted out.  “You two haven’t even been dating.”

“Didn’t need to, boss,” Ethan stated.

“Why not?” Kristen asked, finally prying her eyes off of the ring on Jade’s hand.

“Because,” he said with a grin, “I know what she reads.”
