"Yeah, I can handle that," I said. I peeked inside the bag and saw a gun with some Ecstasy pills.
Liz kissed my lips but I didn't like the taste of her. My stomach started doing flips and I felt as if a vomiting episode would be arriving soon.
"The prize that you get for doing this is me and I'm worth the risk," Liz whispered.
"Oh, and just in case you're thinking of crossing me or not participating in our plan. I'd hate to see your daddy have a setback while he's recovering in the hospital. Have I made myself clear?" Neophus stared me down.
"Yeah, it's all good. I know where you're coming from," I answered.
"Good," he said, and then dismissed both Liz and me.
"Where's the bathroom?" I asked Liz as we walked out.
"Over there," she pointed. "Hurry up now, I have things I want to do to you." My stomach did another flip. I rushed into the bathroom and dropped to my knees before the toilet and vomited. Once I was done I felt much better. I rinsed my mouth out then exited the bathroom.
I walked back toward the fireplace to find Ed. He and some girl were dancing in their underwear in front of the fireplace. They both appeared to be completely doped up and hallucinating.
"Dude, when did you get here on Mars?" Ed asked.
  "Mars?" I repeated.
"The alien chicks love us, bro." Ed continued to speak as if we were on another planet.
"There you are," Liz approached me from a dark corner of the room. She took me by the hand and led me to the sofa. She pushed me down and then straddled me. She placed my face in her hands and forced me to look into her eyes.
"You've always wanted me, haven't you?" she asked.
"Yes," I answered her. I wasn't sure if I was lying or telling the truth.
"What is it that you like about me?" she asked.
My mind went blank when I didn't have an answer for her.
"Bro, you're getting busy with an alien. Her skin is green man. You're getting down with a green alien, that's wicked." Ed's mind was fully submerged in his fantasy.
"You like me because I'm hot, don't you?" Liz put words in my mouth.
"Yes." I just agreed with her to keep things from spiralling out of control. Liz kissed my forehead, then my eyelid, then my cheek.
"Unlatch my bra," Liz invited me to explore her body. "The latch is right here, in the front." I suddenly found myself at an odd crossroad. Some twisted part of me wanted to be intimate. A dark selfish part of me had surfaced was telling me to take my opportunity. I listened to that dark voice and began pulling Liz's shirt from inside of her skirt. Liz exhaled sensually in anticipation of what was about to go down. My hands were now underneath her clothing. I began stroking her back as she continued to plant kisses all over my face. I was being seduced by her in a way that I never thought possible.
"Hey, Liz. You need to do a drop right now," Neophus interrupted her. "Come back to him later. I doubt he's going anywhere." Neophus tossed a package to her and she caught it.
"The address is inside the package. They're waiting on it."
"Damn," Liz hissed. "I have to go. When Neophus wants something done, I have to do it."
"Who is he to you anyway?" I asked.
Liz chuckled. "He's my mom's boyfriend." Liz winked at me when she saw a boatload of questions come across my face.
"It's a long story. I'll tell you about it later. Right now I just want you to wait here for me, okay?"
"Okay." I once again agreed with her but my mind was still processing the fact that she was doing all of this madness with her mom's boyfriend.
What's that about?
I thought to myself.
"I promise, you are going to enjoy what I have in mind. It will be well worth your wait," Liz said as she got up and followed Neophus toward the back door. I gathered my wits and stood up.
"Ed, let's go," I pleaded with him.
"Dude, I'm on Venus now, doing an alien named, get this, Venus." Ed laughed at his own joke. "You should come to Venus, bro, the ladies are off the chain," Ed said as he began swirling his arms around like an octopus swimming.
"Ed, we should get out of here." I tried to convince him once more. I wanted to save him from his self-destructive behavior.
Ed ignored my plea and continued kissing the girl he was dancing with earlier. I looked around the room and noticed that everyone was either completely bombed or sprawled out on the floor or making out. Muffled moans, drugs and bare skin were everywhere. I decided right then and there that my opportunity to escape had just presented itself. The temptation to stay and participate was no longer there. Consuming drugs, hallucinating and getting down with strangers just wasn't who I was or what I was about. There was no need for me to try and save Ed if he didn't want to be so I discretely walked over to the front door, opened it up and slipped away into the night.
