“This is our life man,” Marcus shrugs.

He stops talking for a minute and looks at me. “What?”

He shakes his head. “We all need to make changes. I want to know what you two guys want. Then I think our, queen,” he nods at me, “needs to take a breath, take a moment and figure out what will gel best. Called this meeting premature, but I know we need one. May not seem like a lot of changes are happening, but they are. Like it or not, FS, is changing.”

He pushes up and takes a step back then looks at the guys. “You two need to think about what you need.” He looks at me. “You need to listen and lead. Momma Joe trusts you-”

“I didn’t ask for it.” I scowl.

He sighs. “It’s a fucking gift, take that shit Kat. Make something good, better, and for fuck’s sake don’t push away customers.”

“Oh so that’s the reason we’re having a meeting,” I laugh. “Bitch was wrong.”

“No she wasn’t, I told her she could answer the fucking phone if it rang.”

“How do you know she’s capable?”

Marcus coughs, “Bonephone.”

Ricco gives him a look and he smirks at Ricco. “Got nothing to do with that.”

“Her voice would drive away customers,” I retort.

“Your attitude can do the same.”

I stand, I don’t have to put up with his shit.

“You gonna walk?” he chuckles.

“It’s either that or-”

“Her aside,” he interrupts. “I asked for a piece and you walked in and tossed it at me.”

“At least I gave it to you,” I hiss.

“When I asked for a different one you didn’t do shit. I had to send Zack a text to get it for me.”

“Should have been prepared.”

“Would have been but I was separating two females who seemed ready to go at each other’s throats.”

I throw my hands in the air. “It’s the same fucking barbell we use all the time for hoods.”

“Not all hoods are created equal,” Zack chuckles.

“Well you shouldn’t put a fucking Ferrari emblem on a fucking-”

“That hood was no Ferrari, bitch had a 1985 Pontiac Grand Prix,” Zack laughs out.

“What the hell are you talking about?” I am so annoyed with them right now.

“Zack,” Ricco warns.

“Ricco man, I’ve never seen a hood so big. I mean shit, I stuck around thinking I may have to pull you up out of it. Imagine if it snapped shut.” He holds his stomach and laughs harder.

“Venus fly snatch?” Marcus chimes in.

“With fucking meat flappers,” Zack chokes out.

“No shit, did you get a picture?” Marcus asks.

“No fucking way. I swear to you if that had been the first I had ever seen I may have never wanted to touch one.”

“Enough,” Ricco says trying to sound badass but looking like he may laugh.

“Dude it was bad, admit it,” Zack laughs.

“Did she stink?” Marcus asks.

“Okay, both of you, go, get out. We’ll meet Tuesday and discuss what needs to be done.”

I will admit, it was funny, but I held it together.

The guys stood up and grabbed their coats. “See you Monday man,” Zack says.

“Three o’clock right?” Marcus asks.

“Not necessary, but appreciated,” he nods.

I start to follow them out and he grabs my elbow. “We need to discuss tonight.”

“Tuesday,” I remind him.

“No babe,” he begins.

“Don’t call me babe.”

“No?”

“No, I’m not a fucking baby, a babe, your-”

“Fine. Have a seat Katherine Ann-”

“What the fuck has gotten into you?”

“Same shit that’s gotten into you. Now sit, we chat business.”

“What’s my damn name?” I ask trying to get some semblance of control.

“Kat. Woman, your name is Kat, now we got fifteen minutes out of thirty.” He looks at his watch.

“You have somewhere to be?”

“Yeah, I do.” With that he sits down and motions for me to do the same. “So do you.”

Begrudgingly I sit down. “Have at it.”

His jaw clenches and his hands flex, but he says nothing.

“Good chat,” I say and start to stand.

His hand grips my knee stopping me.

“We need someone to answer the damn phones.”

“You want to hire help?” I gasp. “I’m not down with that.”

“Woman, think,” he taps his head, “a few years ago business was just as booming as it is today. There were six of us working most every day, and one woman holding down reception. We’re down two artists and one at the desk.”

“We all need the money,” I scowl.

“Yeah, we do. That’s why it’s crazy to be sitting behind the desk when we could be working. Ten women tonight, ten piercings. Six hundred dollars in two hours. The guys had eight men here, easy work, should have taken less than thirty minutes apiece but we kept rotating reception coverage so it was twice that. We turned at least seven people away tonight. You pay someone to man reception, we don’t turn as many away, we don’t book out six months for our clients who would damn sure be in more often if it wasn’t a fucking zoo.”

He’s right, but I don’t like people, especially new people.

“Wouldn’t it be nice to actually leave here on time once in a while?”

“If this is because of your current situation-”

“Not just mine Kat. Yours, Zack’s, Marcus’s. You and I put in a lot of hours, they put in just as much. Hell, they make commission. When they sit up there, they don’t get shit.”

“So did we, until the Steel family made us become,
responsible
,” I huff.

“Damn Kat, think. We don’t do right by them, they’ll find somewhere else, and I’m not willing to lose them, as an artist or as part of this family.”

He looks at his watch again.

“Got somewhere to be?”

“Yeah, I do. But let’s end the work talk with this, me telling you you’re queen bee around here, wasn’t just words. I had them leave so you and I could do this talking shit. Those two respect me. They have mad love for you Kat, but they tolerate you. You have to step it up and I’m not being a dick, you know that, just trying to look out for you, me, and the bigger picture. We don’t want to lose them.”

“I didn’t ask for this,” I say with a sigh.

“Some of the greatest blessings are ones you never knew you wanted.”

“I suck at people. I don’t like-”

“Bullshit Kat.” He stands up. “Like it or not, shit’s changing and not every change is a bad one.”

He looks at his watch. “Twenty minutes. We have ten to spare. Let’s get out of here.”

I don’t say a thing. He’s not wrong, but he’s not right either. Change sucks. Change… changes things.

In a little over a week my entire world has been turned upside down.

I follow him to the front of the shop, he locks up while I grab my keys and my phone. As soon as my hand touches it, it lights up with notifications.

I hear him chuckle and look over my shoulder. “What?”

“Nothing Kat. Let’s roll.”

We walk to the back and he activates the alarm system. Once outside he locks the door. I look around for his bike, and it’s not there.

“Where’s your car?” he asks.

“Out front.”

“Good, give me a ride to my place so I can grab my truck.”

“You walk to work?” I ask looking over my shoulder at him.

He’s typing in his phone, and doesn’t answer.

Probably sending
Pontiac
a message.

***

Inside my car he seems pissed. I bet she was supposed to pick him up and didn’t. She’s probably sore. Sloppy ass bitch.

He tosses his phone on the dash and reclines the seat back. He sighs and runs his hands through his hair and then one hand rubs up and down his chin.

“You wanna tell me where I’m going?” I ask as I start the car.

“Three blocks up, take a left.”

He doesn’t say anything more.

I should ask him if he’s okay. I mean he seems off. He is off. But it’s none of my damn business.

I take a left and we’re in a not so great part of town. I see a bunch of old cars parked along the road and then I see a bike, laying in a front yard.

His bike. I start to slow down.

“Is that your-”

“Keep driving,” he hisses.

We’re driving by and I notice his truck is sitting lower in the front and the back is tagged with green spray paint.

“Motherfucker,” he hisses.

“Ricco is that your-”

“Keep driving,” he insists and I do as he leans forward and looks past me at the mess.

He grabs his phone and starts typing in something, then he holds it to his ear. “Hey, yeah I was right. When can you be here?” he pauses. I immediately think he’s talking to her, I am also keenly aware that it agitates me a little. Nonsense.

“I need to grab my kid, can’t get here any sooner?” He covers the phone and says, “Circle around.”

I want to tell him to say please, but I don’t.

“Louisa Diaz.” He pauses. “Thanks man. I’ll let you know if I have to jet before then.”

He hangs up the phone. “Pull up in front of the house, don’t get out of the fucking car until I say so.” I pull up in front like he asks then as soon as he’s out he starts swearing. I have no idea what he’s saying but he’s pissed.

His bike is laying on its side and I can see now the front tires of his Chevy are flat.

“You want some of me?” he yells. “Come and get me you crazy bitch.”

“Oh damn,” I gasp.

He thinks Louisa did this. He should have let me kick her ass.

I look around and see no one, and only then do I get out of the car. I slam the door and walk around it. I walk over to his ‘One and Only.”

“What part of ‘don’t get out of the car’ did you not understand?” he says snatching the keys from my hand, and locking it as he pushes me in front of him, wraps his arms around me and walks us to the door.

“I would fuck her up,” I snap as he hits some numbers on the electronic door lock.

“I’m sure you would have, badass,” he grumbles pushing the door open and walking us inside.

“I am a badass. I’m such a badass that if I see her again-”

He grabs the hem of my shirt and tugs it over my head. “What the hell?”

“Sick of playing games Kat. I need to fuck, you need to get fucked and we’re still thirty-five minutes from the time I told your sister you’d be home. Gonna be quick.” He pulls his shirt over his head and tosses it on the brown sofa in the room. “Gonna wrap it this time when I’m inside you, next time I won’t.” He kicks his shoes off and unbuttons his pants while I stand there speechless.

He grabs my bra between my tits and pulls me toward the couch. “Sit. I’ll be back.”

“Am I allowed to say this is an awful fucking idea?” I ask.

He looks down at the shoes I am kicking off and shakes his head. “When I come back out you make that decision. Cops are gonna be here in twenty so this is gonna be quick, you need a heavy fucking make out session, soft music, hearts and flowers or shit like that, keep your pants on.”

He turns and walks away.

When he comes out he looks me up and down. “Good choice.”

“It’s only because you threatened me with flowers. I hate flowers.”

He takes in a deep breath as his eyes fuck me from head to toe. “Sit down, lean back, and spread your legs for me.”

I refuse to acknowledge the fact that I may be a bundle of nerves. I clear my throat.

“This changes nothing,” I say before sitting down.

He nods and closes the space between us. “Spread wider Kat.”

I do.

He unbuckles his belt and unbuttons his pants. “Give them a tug.”

I do.

His pants fall to his ankles. Mount Ricco flies out at me. I lick my lips and swallow hard.

“Take a taste,” his voice is thick, deep, and full of need.

What the hell am I doing?

CHAPTER SIX
Inside

RICCO

She keeps looking up at me, then back at my dick. I know she’s a fucked up mixture of confusions. Confusion caused by my cock, which goes to show you the little peen queen, hasn’t been around quite as much as she’d like everyone to think. Confusion about fucking a co-worker, which she doesn’t seem to think is an ideal situation, but I sure as fuck do.

“Take it Kat,” I dare her and she does. “Tighter grip than that, you aren’t holding plastic, or some internet date, that’s all man.”

She closes her eyes and licks her lips. “That’s it Kat,” I say as she grips me harder and starts stroking. “Tongue,” I stop before calling her babe.

She opens her eyes and looks at me. “Go in easy, it’s sensitive as fuck. My head doesn’t dust denim all day long.”

She closes her eyes again and I stop myself from telling her to open up.

Gotta go easy with her too,
I remind myself.

Her tongue slowly comes out and she sticks it in rubbing it across my tip.

“Easy Kat,” I hiss and my hips instinctively jut forward causing her to gag a bit. Her eyes open wide and she gives me a look.

“I’m trying, fuck I’m trying real hard to be gentle, but woman, it feels real fucking good.”

This immediately erases the scowl and she uses her tongue to circle my head. “Making me harder,” I groan and she strokes upward squeezing my foreskin around her tongue and she groans. “Fuck yes. That’s it.”

Her tongue comes out and she takes in a breath before completely covering my head with her mouth. “Damn.”

She opens her mouth wider and takes me deeper, she sucks hard and I bite my lip as I watch her, trying not to fuck her face like I want to.

I should tell her I have wanted those lips around my cock since the day I saw her, but then I would have to confess that it was to make her not fucking frown.

You can’t suck dick and frown. Can’t do it and smile either. All you can do is suck harder, and that’s one of the greatest fucking feelings a man can have when done right.

I am fully erect now and she is working me hard, fast, sucking, and moaning, she’s doing it right, so fucking right.

I pull one hand out from behind my back and grab her tittie and give it a squeeze.

“Your tits are fucking perfect,” I tell her and that gets me more favoritism as she sucks harder than before.

“Shit Kat,” I say as I feel my balls tighten a bit. I don’t wanna tell her I am gonna blow my load way too soon if she doesn’t slow the shit down, and I don’t want her to slow down.
