Bishop

I was pissed. You never go against your man, even if we weren’t an official couple. You never go against your man. In public. In front of another nigga. That was the ultimate disrespect. I knew we weren’t an official couple, but when I slid inside Kai, I claimed her as mine. I knew I fucked up by not being completely honest with her about knowing her ex, but shit, what could I say? Now, she was treating a nigga like I was just another nigga and I didn’t appreciate that one bit. The only reason why I decided to bring her home was because I didn’t want her seeing that nigga until things cooled off. Really, I didn’t want her seeing him period, especially not right now. Not tonight. I hadn’t said shit to her the entire ride home. Yeah, it may have been petty for me to be mad since this was slick my fault, but I didn’t care. I didn’t care at all.

Layyah

I felt so bad about how things went down at the restaurant. I should’ve known Bishop was going to bring his crazy ass in the restaurant. I watched as Courtney paced back and forth in front of my TV. He was heated as to be expected. I just hoped he wasn’t thinking about doing anything crazy and ending up right back in jail.

Rell was blowing my phone up and I knew if I didn’t answer, he was going to be showing up at my door soon so I went into my bedroom and called him back.

“What’s up, Bae?” I asked.

“The hell you been? Why you ain’t been answering your phone?”

“I’m sorry. I was taking a shower. What’s up? When you stopping by?”

“I don’t know, babe. It’s going to be a long night at the studio. I might not be leaving out until 3 or 4.”

“You want me in your bed when you get home?”

“You know I do. I’ll see you then.”

“Okay, baby.”

When I ended the call and looked up, Courtney was standing at my doorway.

“What’s up, Court?” I asked, sitting my phone on my dresser.

“You need to help me get Kai back.”

“No, I’m not involved anymore. You gone handle this on your own from here on out.”

“I can’t get to her long as she with that nigga. You gotta help me, Lay.”

“No, the hell I don’t.”

“Yes, you do. If you don’t, I’ll tell her about us… and how I popped that cherry had you coming back night after night. Is that nigga you was talking to, hitting it right?”

I chuckled and shook my head at his dog ass.

“He takes great care of what’s his, Courtney. Thanks. I don’t appreciate you tryna blackmail me. That’s uncool. Kai is my baby. My sister. You can’t tell her about us. She’d never forgive me.”

“Well… you know what you need to do.” He walked over to my bed and stood in front of me. “You miss me? You really miss me?” he asked, running his fingers through my hair.

“You know I did, Court.”

“Show me how much you missed me, Lay.”

“How you go from asking me to help you get back with my best friend to trying to fuck me in the same conversation?”

“Ain’t shit changed between us, Layyah. Ain’t shit between us but sex, but with Kai… that’s all love.”

“No. I can’t do this to her. It was bad enough that we were fucking off back in the day. We can’t now.” I stood and tried to walk around him, but he gripped my neck with one hand, lifted me up and threw me back on the bed with the other hand.

He knew I loved that rough shit. Kai didn’t. That was why they’d only had sex once. He’d always say if we were combined, we’d be the perfect woman.

“Courtney, please…” I moaned, trying to gather myself.

“Shut the fuck up. You know you want this dick.”

My panties were drenched as I bit my lip. Spreading my legs, I poked my lips out for him to kiss.

“That’s my girl,” he spoke lightly before taking my tongue into his mouth. His hand found its way between my legs. “Why you try and fake me out like you don’t want me?”

He felt how wet I was.

“Because it’s not right, Court.”

“But, it feels right… don’t it?” he asked, sliding two fingers inside me.

I arched my back and gasped lightly. After he had pulled my dress down with his teeth, he began to suck on my nipples. I grabbed his neck and started to grind on his fingers.

“Don’t it?” he asked again as he removed his fingers and sucked them.

“Yes…” I moaned before sitting up and unzipping his pants.

He watched as I pulled his best asset out.

“Condom?” I asked.

He nodded and pulled the condom out before handing it to me to put it on. As soon as I did, he flipped me over and arched my back deep, poking my ass into the air.

“Courtney!” I yelled pissed. I knew it had been a while for the nigga, but he could’ve given me some kind of warning before he entered me that deep and quick.

“I’m sorry, Lay,” he almost whispered, pulling himself out of me and entering me again, just as deep but slower.

“Take your time with this pussy. Make it last.”

Spreading my cheeks, he pulled himself out of me and rubbed some of my juices onto my butt before sliding back inside and fingering my asshole at the same time. I tried to scoot away, but he pulled me closer to him.

“No running…” He moaned, stroking the inside of my ass just as he was stroking my pussy, driving me insane.

“Mmmmmm….” I moaned, burying my head deeper into my bed as I threw it back at him.

“You tryna make me cum already?” he asked, removing his finger from my ass and gripping my hips tighter, controlling my movements.

“Yes, baby. Look at what you got me doing,” I said, referring to the cum he had dripping down my thighs.

Sliding out of me, he flipped me over and grabbed my phone.

“Text that nigga and let him know you won’t be coming over. You mine for the rest of the night,” he said, throwing my phone to me before climbing on top of my bed and sliding back inside of me.

Kailani

I’d never seen Bishop so shut down. He sat in the same place on the couch for what felt like forever. The entire ride home he hadn’t said a word to me. I messed up. I slick disrespected him, but that wasn’t my intention. I was just caught off guard and in my feelings. I walked over to him and kneeled before him. Rubbing my fingers down his face, I began to place light kisses all over it, ignoring his lips. Moving my fingers down his back, I stroked it up and down. Finally, he lifted his head and looked in my eyes for the first time since we left the restaurant. His hands cupped my face and he kissed my lips lightly twice before sucking on my top lip.

“You said you needed him, but I need you,” he mumbled into my lips before running his fingers through my hair, massaging my scalp.

After covering his wrists with my hands, I couldn’t help but close my eyes in pleasure. A man’s fingertips on my scalp sent me in.

“You hear me, Kailani? I need you, baby. I don’t want to lose you.”

Biting my lip lightly, I didn’t respond. I decided to show him how I felt instead. Lifting him to his feet by his hands, I led Bishop up the stairs and into his bathroom. After filling his Jacuzzi tub with more hot than cold water and his shower gel since he didn’t have and bubble bath, I stripped him of his clothes.

Once I got him into the tub and watched him slide down, resting his head on the edge, I went into his kitchen and searched for a bottle of Hennessey or Patron. I knew he had something in his crib and I needed something that was going to pull him from his thoughts. Finally, I found his liquor stash in one of his cabinets. After opening the Hennessey, I returned to the bathroom and smiled. The nigga was almost sleep already. I wasn’t done with him yet, though, so he was going to have to wake up. I poured him a shot before slobbing him down for what felt like minutes on end. I didn’t plan on kissing him that long and that nasty, but he’d never kissed me like that before.

I leaned down and pecked his lips lightly, but he grabbed me by the back of my neck and pulled my lips to his again. Instead of kissing my lips, he held his long thick tongue out as if he wanted me to do something with it outside of his mouth. After licking the side of my mouth and staring at it for a second, I sucked his tongue and he moaned lightly, making me cry and throb between my thighs. Once I got to the tip of his tongue, I opened my mouth and connected his with mine. They danced together like two worms grinding against each other.

He was turning me on so much I sped up, but he wanted this to last, so he bit down on my tongue lightly before kissing it and whispering, “Slow down baby…”

Pouting, I did as I was told and stroked his tongue slowly with mine, round and round, up and down, over and under. Licking. Sucking. Kissing. He was doing things to my tongue that no man had ever done before and that I never thought about doing before. Taking the tip of his tongue, he licked the center of mine, causing me to shiver and pull back. I couldn’t take any more. Latching my fingers behind his head, I took his lips into mine and kissed him deeply.

“Mmmm.” He moaned between kisses.

I smiled.

He smiled, but commanded, “Stop smiling and kiss me.”

That only made me smile harder.

“I’m trying,” I replied honestly.

I loved this nigga more than he knew, more than I thought was possible. Pulling myself away from him, I took the shot I’d poured for him and handed him the bottle. He took it to the head, watching me undress out the corner of his eye. Once I was done undressing, I removed the bottle from his lips. He was downing the bottle like The Game was known to do. I didn’t want him drunk. I just wanted him relaxed.

“Slide up,” I instructed before sliding behind him.

He rested his head against my chest. We sat there in silence. I massaged his body with my hands and lips, but no words were exchanged. When the water was beginning to get cold, I stood and let it out before cutting the shower on to wash us both. When I was done, I grabbed a couple of towels and dried him off, then myself. Making our way to the bed, I watched him crawl in. After putting on one of his shirts, I went downstairs and fixed him something quick to eat. He hadn’t eaten all day because he was taking care of business. Since he didn’t have much to work with, I did a quick chicken and gravy with rice. By the time I’d made it back to his bedroom, he was knocked out. I thought about letting him sleep, but after remembering all the Hen he’d taken to the head a few minutes before, he was going to be feeling it in the morning, so I woke him up to eat.

“Ion want to, Lani,” he mumbled, turning his back to me.

“You need to put something in your stomach, Bae. You gone feel it in the morning worse if you don’t.”

Sighing heavily he turned back around and took the plate from my hands after sitting up. He looked at me sideways and shook his head. I just chuckled. I knew he was letting me have it in his head.

“You’re welcome,” I mumbled, walking over to the chair and sitting down to eat myself.

“Why you so far away?” he asked after taking a few bites, looking stronger and more like himself already.

I didn’t answer. I didn’t know. I just wanted to watch him. After everything that went down earlier and I had seen that rough street side of him, I looked at him differently. I knew he had it in him because of his past. I just didn’t know what he was capable of. It wasn’t like I was scared or that I didn’t trust him. I didn’t even lose interest in him. I didn’t know what it was. Something was just… different. I didn’t know if it was because I had finally seen Courtney or what. Shit was fucking with me.

“Come here, Kailani.”

This time, I was the one who sighed as I stood and made my way over to the bed. I stood over him and watched as he scooted more towards the center so that I could sit down.

“What’s on your mind?” he asked before taking another bite.

“Nothing, Bishop.”

“No lies… remember?”

Damn. He was right. I had to clear my mind before I replied so it wouldn’t be a lie.

“I’m not lying, Baby. There’s nothing on my mind.”

“There’s literally nothing on your mind, Kailani?”

I sensed his slight irritation so I knew I had to come half-clean at least.

“Not anymore. I didn’t want to think about what I was thinking about so I started clearing my mind. It’s nothing, Babe. I just… I don’t know… today was a lot. I’m not trying to distance myself from you or anything. I just wanted to take you in, I guess.”

“You messed up about, Courtney? You gone resent me for that, aren’t you?”

I didn’t want to tense up but hearing him say his name did something to me.

“No, Bishop. I’m not going to resent you. I guess I just need to take some time to get my own mental together. I need to talk to him. I need to see him; get this out my system.”

He nodded as if he understood. “I tell you what…” He sat his plate down and turned to face me. “I tell you that I need you, you cater to me, and then you flip and tell me that you need to talk to this nigga. See this nigga. I’m not gone fight for you. I’m not gone play with you. So, I’m going to make this easy for you. Get the fuck out my house. Go find that nigga since you need him so bad.”

Surprised by his immediate change of attitude, I sat there for a second before replying.

“Bishop…”

“Just leave, Kailani. Take the Charger. I’ll pick it up at some point tomorrow.”

“I don’t want to leave. You act like I said I wanted to be with the nigga or sumthin’.”

“You didn’t have to say it with your mouth. You said it with what you didn’t say.”

“The hell does that even mean?”

“Just get out, Kai. If you don’t see it, then there’s no point in me wasting my time trying to explain it to you. Just get whatever it is taken care of with him that you need to take care of.”

I felt like shit. I didn’t want him to feel like I didn’t want him. I just felt like Courtney and I had some unfinished business.

“I’m sorry if I hurt you or disrespected you, Bishop,” I mumbled, standing to my feet.

He didn’t say anything, just picked up his plate and continued to eat.

“You not gone accept my apology?” I asked with tears forming in my eyes.

He still didn’t look at me or say anything.

“Bishop…”

“Go Kai. Please.”

“Why fight so hard to get me if you didn’t plan on doing shit to keep me?” I asked as I turned to leave his bedroom.

“I’d do everything to keep you. Yo ass just don’t want to be kept, at least not by me. You were never mine to have, Kai. I was just a temporary slot filler.”

“Bishop… that’s not true… I…”

“Just go, Kai. Swear I’m not tryna have this conversation with you.”

I nodded and left. This time without saying another word.
