“Hmm.”

“I swear.” Brandon brought his hands around front to cross his heart, completely forgetting he still had hold of his gifts. Kristen’s eyes lit on them immediately.

“Are those for me?” She perked up slightly before her frown returned and she pinned him with a suspicious look. “And are they from you or Deputy Singer?”

“Does it matter?” Brandon scowled, wondering at the point hidden in that question. He didn’t have to wonder long. Apparently, Gwen had gotten chatty.

“Only if you
share
.”

“I…uh…” Brandon didn’t even know what to say to that. He didn’t need to say anything to cause Kristen to gape up at him.

“Oh my God!
It’s true
! Front and back, just like Gwen…oh, oh, oh…” Kristen began to fan herself as she grew redder with each breath. “You shared Gwen! That… That is so gross! Ew! Ew, ew,
ew!

Kristen waved her arms in the air as her nose wrinkled as if she’d smelled something foul. Apparently, it was him. She danced around him, shaking her head and storming off, leaving Brandon standing there hold his flowers and wondering how the hell the conversation had gone that wrong.

It was supposed to have gone totally different. She should have said the flowers were beautiful, and then he could have said not as beautiful as her. Kristen would have blushed demurely, and he would have gotten that rush he did whenever he made her smile.

“Ew!”

Kristen spat back at him, pausing to shoot him one last dirty look before she stepped into the accounting offices. Brandon stared at the doorway she’d disappeared through and wondered what he was supposed to do now.

The sane thing would be to leave, but his feet turned in the other way as his mind began to churn. Kristen could say ew all she wanted. He knew the truth. Soon, so would she. With that determination fueling him, Brandon shoved right into the accounting offices and walked past the receptionist, who glanced up.

“Can I help you?”

“Nope. I know where I’m headed,” Brandon tossed back, making a beeline for where he saw Kristen settling down at her desk.

Her ass never touched the seat. Brandon caught her before it did. Plopping the flowers, coffee cup, and bag containing her breakfast treat down on her desk, Brandon latched onto her elbow and jerked her back up.

“We need to have a little talk,” he stated before she could reprimand him. “And we can do that here or some place private.”

“Is everything all right, Kristen?” the receptionist asked. She’d hurried after Brandon and looked concerned enough to call the cops. That was until Kristen told her Brandon was the cops.

“It’s all right, Cindy. Deputy Hammel and I just need to have a moment.”

“Okay.” Cindy glanced at him, and he read the uncertainty in her gaze as she slowly retreated.

“Come along.”

Kristen jerked out of his hold and turned to lead the way back out into the hall and across it to the walled-in stairwell that bought them a measure of privacy after the door had banged closed behind him. Almost instantly Kristen turned on him and began wagging her finger at him.

“You have thirty seconds and

Brandon did exactly what he’d promised Dylan he would do. He kissed her, stealing the complaints right off her lips as her sweet flavor once again filled his head. She was intoxicating, and he was drowning. Over and over again, he plundered the velvety depths of her mouth as her tongue twirled and twined around him.

Then the sweet, little miss tightened her lips and sucked his tongue in deeper, making Brandon slam her up against the wall as his dick drove him forward. It throbbed and ached, and he would probably have fucked her right there if he hadn’t been consumed by an even more desperate desire.

Tearing himself free of Kristen’s kiss, Brandon fell straight to his knees as his hands fisted in her skirt. He ripped it upward and didn’t even bother to remove her panties before he was nudging the wet, silken crotch aside to dine on the sweet, heated cream coating her swollen folds. She tasted divine and he was instantly addicted, forgetting completely just where they were.

All that mattered to him in that moment was fucking his tongue up into the tight, heated clench of Kristen’s sheath. She moaned, her fingers coming to clutch at his head as her hips arched upward, offering herself up for his feasting. Brandon’s hunger was insatiable.

Again and again he teased the rippling walls of her cunt as he screwed his tongue deep into her honeyed depths only to retreat and lap at the hard bud of her clit. Kristen’s groans grew into whimpers as her hips began to pump with a demand Brandon didn’t have the will to deny.

Still it took all his self-control to rip himself away from the pussy melting all over her mouth and rear back up onto unsteady legs. Brandon’s hands went immediately to his belt buckle and he’d have had the throbbing length of his dick freed and buried in Kristen’s tight cunt if a rather annoyed voice hadn’t broken into their heated embrace.

“Deputy Hammel, Miss Harold, I’m sure you have something better to do on taxpayer time.”

It was the mayor!

Kristen quickly jerked free of Deputy Hammel’s hold, feeling her face go up in flames as she found herself facing the mayor, who did not look pleased.

“I’m sorry, sir,” Kristen managed to get out as the deputy turned around and frowned. “We were just

“I know what you were doing, Miss Harold,” the mayor cut in. “Now if you don’t mind stepping out of the way.”

“Oh, yes. Sorry, sir.” Kristen quickly scurried out of his way, but the deputy moved at a slower pace.

He didn’t seem the least bit concerned about getting caught in such an embarrassing situation. In fact, he appeared kind of annoyed. Kristen didn’t know what right he had to that emotion. She was the one who should be upset… She just couldn’t remember why.

Kristen frowned as she tried to sort through her scattered thoughts, but the deputy was quick to remind her what they’d been arguing about before he’d kissed her.

“You’re right. Dylan and I share, and we treat women to the kind of pleasure that you can’t even imagine, and when you grow up and want to actually know what it feels like to be a woman, you know where to find me.”

Kristen gaped up at him, amazed that he could be so bold as to accuse her of not being grown up, but the deputy wasn’t concerned by her building outrage. He was too busy storming off. He wrenched open the door and paused to cast her a soulful look.

“What is between us is special. Don’t throw it away.”

With that, he was gone, leaving Kristen confused and strangely saddened. Her thoughts were not friendly or cheery as she spent not only the rest of the day but the following day as well trying to figure out what she should do, what she wanted to do, and reconciling those two choices.

The two deputies gave her the room to think things through, which only added to her mopiness. A part of Kristen just wished one of them would kiss her, but that was the cowardly way out. They knew they couldn’t make this decision for her. Neither could lust. She had to make it herself.

Though a little advice from a friend wouldn’t hurt. That was just what Kristen received when, by Wednesday, she still hadn’t recovered or come to any decisions. Cybil had asked several times if things were all right, but after lying for two days, Kristen broke down.

They were at the Bread Box, Janice and Cindy having gone to gossip at another table while they all waited on their food. As usual, neither Deputy Hammel nor Singer was there that day, and she’d so been hoping to get another look at them. Kristen missed seeing them, a fact that must have been apparent on her face because Cybil just shook her head sadly at Kristen.

“You look like somebody drowned your puppy. When are you going to put an end to this silliness?”

“You don’t even know what’s wrong,” Kristen protested, not really offended by her friend’s comment. She felt as though somebody had drowned her puppy.

“I know it has something to do with those two deputies you keep looking for every time somebody comes in,” Cybil countered. “And I bet I can even take a guess as to what’s wrong.”

“I doubt it,” Kristen muttered, but she was wrong.

“They’re a packaged deal, aren’t they?” Cybil smirked as Kristen gaped over at her. “I’ll take that as a yes.”

“How did you know?” Kristen whispered, her mind already leaping to one horrible conclusion.

“Oh, it’s not like that.” Cybil appeared to read her thoughts again and waved them away. “They’re Cattlemen. They all come in twos or more.”

Kristen blinked that in, not certain what Cybil was really saying. “I don’t know what that means. They’re Cattlemen? What are Cattlemen?”

“I mean they belong to the Cattleman’s Club,” Cybil explained.

“Isn’t that a golf club?” Kristen scowled. She’d heard a few people whisper about Cattlemen but assumed it was some kind of men’s lodge, which apparently it was, just not a golf-club kind.

“No.” Cybil shook her head and frowned. “It’s more like a sex club.”

Kristen started feeling as if she’d just been poleaxed. A sex club? Her deputies belonged to a sex club? They could be out there screwing right now. Oh no. She was going to be sick.

“You know how you asked me about love and lust a while back?” Cybil asked, but Kristen didn’t have the ability to speak. She could only nod. “Well, honey, if it was just lust, you wouldn’t look like you were about to lose the lunch you haven’t even eaten yet. So, let me give you a little advice. If you don’t do them, somebody else will.”

Kristen blinked that in, latching onto it as an anchor in a world that was spinning. Cybil was right. She had to decide whether or not she was willing to fight for what she wanted, and she hadn’t moved out of her parents’ house because she was a coward.

Deputy Hammel was right, too.

It was time she grew up and gave Brandon and Dylan her decision. First, though, she might need to take care of a few details.

“Cybil?”

“Yeah?”

“You wouldn’t happen to know anything about else about the Cattlemen, do you?”

Kristen learned later that night that waxing was painful. The attendant said it wouldn’t be that bad. Cybil said it only stung a little. They lied. She hurt in embarrassing places, and it had her wondering if she wasn’t making a colossal mistake.

It was a colossal decision. That was for sure.

She was going to have sex. Just the idea made her giggle and flush like a schoolgirl, leaving her wondering if she wasn’t being a tad too optimistic about how things would go. After all, she was going to have to show a man her naked body…and let him touch her.

That idea alone was overwhelming, but then she’d remember that it was two men and that had her wanting to turn and run. There were moments when she was certain she couldn’t do this. Moments when she couldn’t wait to do it.

Kristen was that torn, but she was also that determined. No matter which way her thoughts went, she forced herself to move forward. After hair removal, tans, and even a quick stop by the mall to pick up a nice, attractive bra and panty set, Kristen even shelled out a few bucks that Cybil lent her to buy a nice dress.

This one wrapped around her body, hugging to the curves that the new set of underwear helped her create. Cybil even loaned her a necklace that hung down between her breasts and drew attention to her cleavage. A set of matching earrings and the woman looking back at her in the mirror was nearly unrecognizable.

“Oh my God, what are you planning?”

Kristen turned from the full-length mirror tacked to the back of the closet door to find her cousin smirking at her from the doorway to the bedroom. It was Thursday night, and Gwen was supposed to have a meeting, but Kristen guessed it got cancelled.

“No, wait. I can guess.” Gwen held her hand up, forestalling any response Kristen might have made. “This is about those two idiots, Brandon and Dylan. Right?”

Kristen blush was her agreement, and Gwen’s laughter was her response.

“Yeah, I should have known.” Gwen smirked and shook her head. “You do realize you can do a lot better than them, right? I mean, they barely ever have any money because they spend it all on the stupid house.”

“I like their house,” Kristen objected. “And the fact that they are willing to spend their money there instead of on alcohol or women speaks highly of them.”

Gwen grunted at that. “Trust me, they spend money on booze and pussy, too.”

“Must you use those kinds of words?” Kristen flushed, annoyed with Gwen and bothered by the use of such crude language, especially when her cousin was talking about Kristen’s two deputies.

That was how she thought of them now. Brandon and Dylan. They were hers, and the reminder that they had ever been anybody else’s was not pleasant. Gwen didn’t get the message, though. If she did, she chose to ignore it.

“Oh, please. If you’re going to do them, you might as well know who you’re doing, and those two idiots have gotten more ass than most towns have toilet seats.”
