He was scared and alone when he died,
Dan laments
. He must have sat there for weeks not knowing he would be such a hero. Even after death he managed to bring in a nice haul of survivors. Good old Bruce.

The horse drawn wagon has arrived and is waiting patiently for Dan to finish. The grieving man climbs up into the cab again to retrieve his uncle.

Do you want help…?” Oz offers assistance.

“
No, I got him.” Dan waves him off. “Thanks.”

Dan has found he is much stronger now that he has started to work out with the milk jugs every night. He gently loads Bruce onto the cart. His brain doesn’t register the fact his body isn’t shivering when handling his uncle’s remains.

All of the surviving Williamsons were onboard the wagon. Carla takes the reins to chauffer the first family. They proceed through the kingdom to their palace on the hill. The reigning king takes the former monarch to his final resting place.

If time is truly the cure, then they will wait. They will wait for nature to correct the world. The town is now a time capsule that contains one of the last known vestiges of life among the dead.
