Congratulations

You’ve made it this far. Just a little bit more to go. Let me thank a few people.

A few things about me you should know. I am a list lover, and thought long and hard about making my acknowledgements into a list of sorts.

Before I do that, I want to tell you this part of the book is NOT edited, I’m writing it really quick and then will probably never read it again.

I got the idea to write an erotica novel while sitting around with my brother and cousin, Cara. She told us we needed to love on a certain well-known book and my brother, Jacob and I read the book. We each even liked it, and thought we want to do this.

So together we decided to give it a shot.

I thought about what type of story to write. And, to be honest the title of the book came to me before anything else. So I went with it. I picked some character’s names, and I wish I had a cool story of how I found their names, but I really don’t. Just picked some names out of the air.

Now I do have to say, I started writing and got 23 thousand words into the story and hit a wall. And scrapped the whole thing and started fresh. I felt it was a good move, the first book I kept running into babysitting issues and let’s face it Penny wasn’t painted in the best light.

Love A Boss is the sequel and will be releasing very soon. To make sure you don’t miss this release, I’ve made it easy to stalk me.

All right I have a bunch of people to thank and I guess I should start with my brother, Jacob. Thanks. You’ve always had my back and you’re more than just my brother, you’re my best friend.

When Jacob and I opened our Facebook account, we had no clue as to what we were doing and there were a few who helped us. They took us under their wings so to speak.

Paula Dawn found two brothers goofing off and helped us navigate our way.

Diane Hamilton- our personal assistant, who really has her work cut out for her. She keeps us in line. She helps us in every way possible, from booking our takeovers, spotlights and such. She is very organized which helps offset our very unorganized ways. Diane thank you for everything. You are truly special, don’t ever think otherwise.

She also runs our street team ‘The Chance Takers’ which is a great group of girls dedicated to helping us get our names out there. They work long hours to share our teasers and enter us into contests. Thanks girls, The Chance Takers--Donna Benton, Kerry Callaway, Brittany Danielle Christina, Elena R. Cruz, Lisa Davall, Paula Dawn, Kaye Spingett, Beth Hurley, Rhiannon King, Val DeGeorge, Karen Dillon, Jessica Green, Misty Paige, Miriam Meza, Michelle McKenzie, Laurie Davis, and Ely Darcy. You girls amaze me every day. And I am honored to call you ladies my friends. Thank you.

To all the girls in the Brothers Chance Playroom, you girls make everyday fun. I’ve had a blast and love the inside jokes we’ve come to laugh over. I don’t think there is any type of food we can look at the same anymore. You ladies make me laugh, and thanks for the tags in all the Star Wars memes. I’m glad we were able to bring together a great group of girls who value friendship and support in one another. Thanks for believing in us.

Thank you to Jessica Hildreth in an amazing book cover and smokin’ hot teasers. You have a great eye for detail and a vision to know what looks amazing. You really are a top-notch professional.

Valerie DeGeorge, a woman who has become such a great friend. A little New Yorker in Florida. Val, I cherish our friendship and hope you don’t get too mad when I just go a whole day of saying nothing but, lol, thanks, or nice. I may not be a talker, I guess I’m a better writer. Always remember you deserve so much more.

Jessica Green, the woman who made the claim she was my number one fan from day one and has never let me down. You are definitely my type of weirdness and always a ray of sunshine, you truly are a wonderful person. Don’t ever forget it.

Laura Martinez, I have to say in the beginning I sure didn’t know what to make of you. But, I’m glad we were able to get to know each other and you have become a great support to Jacob and I. I truly do appreciate all you do for me. You’re definitely my favorite little spitfire.

Denielle Hoppe, thank you for grabbing us in the beginning and we really have learned a lot from you. Sorry for sometimes being impossible and making you chase me to answer a simple question. One day I’ll be able to manage my inbox.

Vivian Freeman, thanks for being a pain in my side, and for always offering up a side of sass as well. I’m glad you’ve gotten used to my one word answers. And thanks for all of your help on this book. And of course thanks for opening my eyes and helping to veer me through this Indie World.

Paula Dawn, thank you first and foremost for all of your tireless efforts working on my book. Your dedication to every sentence in this book resonates in me, and I will never forget it.  You helped bring Penny and Theo to life, and I thank you for it. Your insights into Penny’s character was much needed and definitely made for a better story. Furthermore, you’ve been one of my best friends on this journey and I’m so glad I’ve gotten to know you. I enjoy our chats over Miss Piggy and Kermit’s break up all the way to hashtags. You mean the world to me, and I value our friendship more than you’ll ever know. Your support and belief in me makes me want to push myself in my writing. Thank you.

Batman, thank you thank you. You’ve been my personal cheerleader for as long as I can remember. And when I feel like giving up you are the one person I have to keep me going. Thank you for your endless humor and your lasting friendship.  And as always, it’s me and you ‘til the end. You know what makes it special is we can go days without talking but we still pick up right where we left off.

Obi Wan Kenobi, this is it, our one shot and chance. You have inspired me so much and as soon as you are all better there’s nothing you won’t be able to do. I believe in you more than you will ever know. You are special, and here’s knowing good things are on the way. Watch out world there’s no stopping us.

The Duchess of Storms, your help in this book was a breath of fresh air and when you and Paula came together on ideas, the book took off. Together we worked the details and I value everything you’ve done for me. You’re the one person I come to when I need a unique perspective on life. Your humor and personality are something I’m glad I get to experience.

Prologue

If you’d asked me when I was in college what I thought I would be doing in ten years’ time, this wouldn’t have been my answer. Life as a private investigator isn’t as exciting as one might think. Sure, there are moments of danger which get my adrenaline pumping and when that happens, no other high can compare. I used to live for that feeling and for a while you could even say I was addicted to it. But the choices we make have consequences and one decision can change everything.

These days I do a lot of watching and even more waiting. I’m the guy people pay to find the truth buried under all the lies. Eventually, I see past the surface of who you’re pretending to be, revealing all that you’ve kept hidden and I know firsthand appearances can be deceiving.

Chapter One

Kyle

Present Day

Fuck it. I can’t fight the urge any longer.

I type the commands to bring up the main screen, checking to see which room she’s in. I find her in the bedroom she uses, still bundled up in her comforter, just like I’ve imagined. I maximize her room up on the screen.

I watch her as she lowers the comforter down to her waist, before pushing it all the way to the end of the bed with her feet. Her hand slides down into the front of her panties and for a moment I think I must be imagining this.

Oh Jesus.

My heartbeat kicks up a notch and my cock goes rock hard as she tips her head back and parts her lips in pleasure. I can see her fingers slowly circling her clit through her sheer white panties and I pretend it’s my hand making her gasp and twitch. Her eyes are closed in concentration, the fullness of her bottom lip is clenched between her teeth. She’s absolutely focused on the overwhelming ecstasy she’s experiencing.

My cock is so hard it’s straining against my jeans. I undo the button and pull down my zipper, the sound it makes echoes through the silence of my office.

She trails her other hand up her stomach and tweaks her nipple.

Christ, I’m going to come in my pants if I don’t get a move on. I breathe a sigh of relief when my dick is freed from my clothing. Holding it tightly in my fist, my eyes never leaving the blonde siren on my screen, I slowly stroke up and down a few times, I use my thumb, spreading the pre-come around the tip, before gripping it tighter. I move my hand faster and faster as her fingers pick up the pace and her eyes squeeze shut. She spreads her legs wide and digs her heels into the mattress and at the same time air expels from my lungs. The fingers of my free hand grip the desk so hard, my knuckles are white, while I try to fight back my release. Fuck. She’s so hot. All I want to do is bury myself inside her tight, wet pussy and feel her unravel around me.

Her back arches up off the bed and her mouth opens in a soundless cry as she finds her release. Watching her is the hottest fucking thing I’ve ever seen. I come all over myself when my orgasm hits me quick and hard. I carefully remove my shirt, cleaning up with it, before resting my head back against the chair. While I wait for my breathing to settle down there’s only one thought in my mind—I have to meet Janny Moore.
