I expect to find you two
still here in the morning.” Drake’s heavy voice brought Rosaline
and Kyle to a halt. “Don’t run off to elope tonight,” he ordered,
glancing suspiciously at them.

Oh Drake, are you telling us this because you are such an
exemplary role model, and would never do that sort of thing?”
Rosaline teased.

I’m serious Rosaline!”
Drake snarled.

And so am I,” Rosaline
said, a scandalous smile pursed her lips.

Kyle!” Drake referred to
him firmly in a way that told him not to do anything
unforgivable.

Have no worries Drake,
she’s only teasing you—I think.” Kyle gave him a wicked
grin.

Drake puffed, realizing he was not
going to get a straight answer out either of them.

Relax—I love her
Drake and I respect
you
. I will ask your father permission for Rosaline’s hand in
marriage. I won’t do
anything
else
first,” Kyle said
with Rosaline in tow, taking their leave.

Well, don’t do
anything
at all
,”
Drake forced out at Kyle’s back, implying that there was to be no
indecent behavior between the two of them. And Drake knew that
tomorrow morning he would personally see to it that every servant
on the grounds was instructed to keep an eye on
them.

Drake, let’s try to trust
them.” Sierra pulled him by his hands closer to her, trying to
distract him from his worrisome thoughts. “Now, tell me what’s
there,” she said pointing to the papers on the desk.

Drake blew out air from his lungs. Sierra was right. It was
his wedding night, and he should forget about their siblings—at
least for now. The run-in with William had gone better than he had
anticipated. Sierra finally knew the truth about her parents and
could put the past behind her. And he was ready to start a new
chapter of his life and share it with her.

His body finally relaxed
at the thought of giving her everything, including himself. His
mind was overflowing with all the wonderful things he wanted to
show her, and do to her, and do for her.

He headed toward his desk
and began shuffling through the paperwork that William had left.
His eyes scanned the documents and widened as he skimmed through
investment reports and saw the return on those investments that
were in Sierra and Kyle’s name.

He knew that with those substantial
amounts, they both were going to be well off for the rest of their
lives. “With this kind of wealth my father likely will accept
Kyle’s offer to marry Rosaline—if I give Kyle my favor and can
manage to convince him to come work for the family business. He
also must earn a good reputation.” Drake turned toward Sierra, who
was closing and locking the study doors.

That’s very lucky for
them,” Sierra said as she crossed the space of the room to be
closer to him. “But is it enough?” she asked standing before
him.

Enough? What do you mean
by enough?” Drake arched his brow as he set the documents back down
on his desk.

Enough for me to purchase
a few ships for instance,” Sierra placed her hands on his chest,
sliding them over his shoulders.

Drake chuckled. “Oh God, you are so
sweet, but letting me love you is more than enough. So, don’t
fret—I always take care of business.” Drake’s fingertips trailed
alongside her arms. He slowly removed one of her hands from his
shoulder, and pressed his lips to her palm.

Drake, earlier today I had
nothing, and now I feel like I have everything I’ve ever dreamed
of, but you are what I need most.” Sierra made herself to speak.
She was starting to forget how to express herself in words, as
visions of Drake’s undressed body lying against hers, started
filling her imagination.

Am I?” Drake grinned and
licked his lips, watching hers—ripe and ready to be
kissed.

Yes...” she whispered,
slowly leading Drake to the sofa, and suggestively placing her hand
on his chest, encouraging him to sit. “You and I have some other
business to take care of.”

Perhaps we should discuss Gallatin Street.” Drake lifted his
brow.

Discussing Gallatin Street
is the furthest thing from my mind, dearest husband.” Her voice was
filled with arousal. “Now, it is time to handle more important
matters. I don’t think I ever told you about all the babies I want
to have.” Sierra said, seductively placing her legs over his lap.
She leaned in close and raised her arms to rest on his shoulders.
She clutched the back of his neck drawing him closer to her, and
kissed his lips hotly. Drake needed no persuasion. He wrapped his
arms around her and held her tightly, yielding to her demanding
kisses, invading her generous mouth with his tongue.

Babies?” Drake whispered
smoothly against her lips while his hands searched out her most
intimate places, pressing the sleek fabric of her dress against the
lines and curves of her body. Their love for each other overwhelmed
him. His strong sense of fulfillment encouraged him. “I’ll give you
all the babies you want. That, I promise you.” Drake began kissing
her throat thoroughly—knowing that for the rest of his life with
her, no matter what difficulty they might face, whether or not life
dealt them a tranquil hand, all of it would be a sublime experience
because his life with Sierra would be full of her vivacious spirit,
daring, and would know no bounds. “You are so delicious,” he
whispered softly.

Sierra giggled as the strings of her
dress unraveled. Drake’s opulent voice, riveting her, consuming her
entire body, and the sensual feel of his strong hands that she
would be able to experience for the rest of her life—gave her such
deep gratification.

In Drake’s arms, she felt ridiculously
happy.
