“Grip him,” Lana told her.

Her eyes popped open. She glanced to the other woman unsure of how to proceed. Lana sat on the chaise beside Bruce panting while watching Carissa massage Jude. Bruce’s gaze was apologetic. Grip
him?
She wanted to and would delight in doing so, but what if he didn’t want her to touch him there?

“Grip him, now!” Lana yelled to her.

Carissa did as she was told. Closing her eyes she grasped Jude’s cock tightly. He thrust hard into her hand. One hand couldn’t contain him, she needed to use both. Carissa held him tighter. He pumped into her fists over and over again. Behind her, she heard Lana moaning. In front of her, Jude’s fists were clenched at his sides.

“So long,” he whispered, while fucking her hand. Energy flowed from his body, up her arm and to her chest. She felt like her heart was struck by lightning. A drop of moisture appeared at the tip of Jude’s cock. Carissa licked her lips wishing she could lick it off.

“So damn long,” he whispered, his voice filled with pain. Carissa wished she could erase his pain. For some reason, she wanted to take away any pain or anger this stranger felt. She wanted him to be…happy. Carissa gripped him as best she could with one hand. Leaning over, she used her other hand to stroke his cheek, to offer him comfort. His hips jerked and he groaned loudly. He licked his lips and her nipples hardened. Both of their breathing was ragged.

“It’s you,” he whispered, turning his head in her direction, the blindfold keeping him from seeing her face. Carissa cradled his face in her hand. She felt something for him, but she had no idea what it was she felt, or why she felt it, but there was definitely a connection between the two of them.

His body continued to buck into her other hand, shaking the bed. Carissa resumed using both hands to pleasure him. He rocked the bed and she gripped him even harder, caught up in the pleasure he received from her touch. If he liked this, she knew he would like it if she replaced her hand with her mouth. Carissa groaned, as energy flowed from his body to her core. The dragon tattoo on her back burned, but she ignored its warning. Jude’s desire strengthened her. She never felt this way before. Something in the back of her mind told her she needed him. Carissa leaned forward. She wanted his taste on her tongue, in her body, which was on fire with need. She wanted him to buck into her body the way he was bucking into her hand. She wanted him to rock her. She leaned closer, desperate for a taste of him.

“Enough,” Lana screamed. “Get her out of here.”

Carissa released Jude and stumbled away from the bed.
How did she forget about their little audience?
Lana’s face was full of fury. The dragon on Carissa’s back slithered up her spine. Carissa didn’t understand what was going on; she did what she was told to do. Lana shoved Carissa out of the way, replacing her at Jude’s side. The anger flowing to Carissa from Jude was almost unbearable. He didn’t want Lana near him. Carissa forced herself to stay still, when what she really wanted to do was rip Lana’s head from her body.
Patience Carissa, you need to find Faede.

Lana climbed onto the bed, straddled Jude and took his cock in her hand. She attempted to join their bodies together, but his erection shriveled under her tutelage. Carissa smiled. She didn’t know what ability he acquired during his life to be able to turn his passion on and off like this, but she was glad he could. Bruce teleported to her side and gripped her arm roughly.

“Don’t say a word,” he whispered, before teleporting her away from Jude and Lana. Jude’s roar followed her. Her heart felt heavy with loss. Why did her heart feel this way? Was it his despair she was feeling, or her own? She was so used to being filled with other’s emotions, she barely distinguished theirs from her own.
These types of feelings were new to her; she didn’t understand them. Tonight, she would think these emotions through. There must be a logical explanation for why she felt this way.

Once they were in her cell, Bruce released her.

“You’ll find another black dress in the box in the corner,” Bruce said.

Carissa covered her breasts with her hands, forgetting she was completely naked. Bruce left, giving her some privacy. He didn’t seem distracted at all by her state of undress, nor was he affected by what took place in Lana’s bedroom moments ago.

She was shaken up by what happened. She pulled her new dress over her head and shuddered at the rough fabric sliding down her body. She was still flushed from the incident in Lana’s bedroom, and her body still burned with desire. Carissa channeled the desire into energy. She would need all the energy she could siphon to make an escape when the time was right.

Glancing around her cell, the first thing she noticed was there were no exits. She didn’t expect there to be any; this was, after all, a prison. She rummaged through the box looking for panties. The box only contained another black, shapeless dress like the one she had on before, but left in Lana’s room. There were no shoes or hygiene products in the box and no under garments. Carissa turned to the small cot in the corner of the room. The sheet was dirty and there were springs popping out of the mattress.

Great.’
Things were not going as she planned. What was the point in allowing herself to be captured, if she wasn’t going to be able to escape and continue her search? She thought getting caught would lead her to slaves she could ask questions about her missing friend, Faede.

She was on a mission for Isis, Elder of the Guardians, when she learned Faede was missing from their coven in the Immortal Realm. She went into the bathroom of the hotel room, where she stayed at the time, and stood in front of the mirror. Closing her eyes, she chanted. The words she spoke awoke the tiny dragon on her back. The dragon tattoo stretched and crawled from below her spine to her front. The small creature settled underneath her belly button before stretching its jaws and blowing a stream of flames toward the mirror making it erupt into a blue flame. Carissa waited impatiently for Elder Isis to appear in the mirror. When she appeared, she confirmed Carissa’s fear, Faede was indeed missing.

Carissa didn’t know how Elder Isis was able to see between Realms, but she was glad she could. The Elder told her she saw Faede taken captive by Lana and held prisoner. The Elder could not see into Lana’s home. It was protected by spells and charms, therefore, she didn’t know if Faede still lived, but Carissa knew her friend was alive. Surely, she would feel it if something happened to her friend. Fortunately, like her, Faede would have a second chance at life if she ever met an untimely demise, thanks to the tattooed art on their body, the Gift of the Guardian.

Faede’s disappearance led to Carissa
being replaced on her current mission, so she could come and search the Dark Realm for her friend. So far, everyone she asked simply ignored her, except for Beth. Poor Beth trembled like a leaf, as they sat side by side in the back of the slave van escorting them to Aloysius home—King Lucius as the van drivers called him.

Carissa knew she would never be able to escape if they took her there. The way Lucius licked his lips when he first captured her, disturbed her. He called her a rare find in the Dark Realm. Not done with his hunting, he commanded the drivers to take her to his home and chain her to the bed. He promised to play with her later when he returned in a few days.

Carissa knew he would be pissed once he found she was not where he wanted her to be. She also knew she needed to escape before he found out. Her heart ached for the woman who would greet him in her absence. The mortal didn’t stand a chance against the vampire.

The mortal captive, Beth, was supposed to be taken to Lana’s home. Carissa convinced Beth to switch places with her in the van, allowing Carissa to be transferred to Lucius sister, Lana’s home, instead. Beth switched with her out of shock, but mostly fear. Poor Beth, like most mortals, she never knew Realms outside of her own existed.

Carissa felt bad for the way she’d tricked the mortal, telling her Lucius was a kinder fate than Lana, but Carissa had too much riding on this mission; she couldn’t afford to fail. She thought it would be easier to escape from a woman than from a man. She was beginning to see how wrong her assumption was.

Lana was just as crazed and unpredictable as her brother was rumored to be. Carissa felt the jealous energy bubbling in the woman’s core while she watched Carissa pleasure Jude. Lana called him useless, but Carissa knew this wasn’t true. The way he pulsed in her hand made her mouth water. The way he pressed his face into her palm, gaining comfort from her touch, made her heart ache. Carissa didn’t know why the demon was denying Lana the pleasure of his body, but she was glad he did. Lana didn’t deserve his touch.

Carissa lifted the dirty sheet off the cot and shook it out, coughing from the dust thrown loose. She beat the sheet against the wall before putting it back on the mattress and lying down on top of it. The sun would soon rise and the vampires would succumb to their death nap. She, too, would sleep for now and find a way to escape tonight. Her friend was out there somewhere.

Chapter 4

Lana stared helplessly at Jude handcuffed to her bed. She wanted to claw the skin from his muscled body, and drain him dry of every ounce of blood he possessed. The only thing keeping her from doing it was her curiosity. She
needed
to know why he couldn’t stay hard for her.

If she didn’t know any better, she would think the woman meant something to him, but it was only jealousy raising its vain head. The mortal couldn’t mean anything to him. The two didn’t know each other, but the chemistry between them was breathtaking.

Lana watched, mesmerized by the way Carissa stroked his cock ferociously, while at the same time gently caressing his face, as if she possessed the power to calm the storm raging inside of him. Was it her mind, or did his erection look more impressive for Carissa than it ever did for her?

Lana rubbed a hand through her hair, annoyed with the little test she performed. She still had no answers; she didn’t know if Jude would have stayed hard long enough to enter the mortal’s body. The moment Lana pushed the mortal out of the way and climbed onto the bed, his erection shriveled. She hated him.

His body glistened with sweat. Lana bent and licked a drop of it from him before removing his blindfold. His forehead creased, frowning in disgust. Lana felt like shrieking in frustration, but she maintained her composure. She knew she didn’t disgust him. Over the past year, she practically survived off his cum alone. She drank from his cock every day and night.

Yet, she never tasted his blood until today. Maybe this was the key to her dilemma. Drinking, or being drunk from always aroused the people involved, but on their first night together, he expressed his distaste for the act and Lana respected his wish, at least for now. She feared biting him would push him over the edge and she didn’t need that, not yet, not until she got the answers she craved.

“Did you enjoy my treat for you, Juju?” she asked, trying to mask her jealousy with sweetness.

* * * *

Jude saw through her act and didn’t respond right away. If Lana knew exactly how much he enjoyed her test, she would find a way to keep it from happening again. Now, that he knew Lana’s real identity, he would have to tread lightly, no angering her, yet. Bitterness and fury pumped through his veins, but he couldn’t let it show.

“What are you playing at?” Jude asked.

 Lana smiled innocently.

“Playing, I’m not playing. I only wanted you to enjoy the touch of someone other than me. From where I was seated, it looked as if you enjoyed it very much.”

Jude heard the possessiveness in her voice. He couldn’t risk her harming Carissa in a jealous rage.

“I’m a
man
, of course, and I’m going to enjoy a woman’s touch. Any woman’s touch will do the job. This doesn’t mean I want to be chained to a bed and blindfolded while an unknown woman jerks me off.”

Lana smiled at his words.

“I’m only trying to find ways to make you happy,” she whispered. Lana approached the foot of the bed. She trailed her nails down the side of his body while she walked. The sensation was erotic, but his mind was on the woman Lana sent away.

The moment the mysterious woman had gotten close to him, his body tensed and his inner beast had raised its head. She belonged to him. Lana called her a mortal, but he sensed there was more to her. Jude grew hard again from thinking about her. Her scent was the one he smelled earlier; the one making his mouth water.

He missed her touch. Her hands felt like velvet on his skin. The way she had gripped him hard as he thrust into her palm excited him. Jude growled and Lana misinterpreted his actions. The vampire thought she was the reason he became erect again. Lana licked the length of his erection.

“One day,” she whispered. “One day, I will have you in my body.”

Her voice sounded far away, her face turning paler. Whatever else she planned to do to him would have to wait until later. The pull of the sun took hold of her. She walked over to her night stand and buzzed Bruce.

“Come get him,” she said.

From the attitude in her voice, Jude knew she was still more than slightly disturbed by the way he responded to the mortal. Bruce appeared and unchained him. Jude watched Lana walk over to her windows and close the protective blinds, keeping the sun rays from entering her room. Jude wished he could watch the sun shine through the blinds, burning her to a crisp, but even a death by fire was too good for her. Jude wanted her to suffer by his hands.
