Lynnia

Lynnia and her sisters were all sitting around talking about everything that has happened to them over the last few years. There’s been so much that’s happened to them individually and collectively. They were almost all just about married off. They had new titles. Wife and mother were now added to their descriptions of who they were as women. Wynter was the last Norton standing. They were giving her grief about holding out until the very last sister was married off. The conversation shifted to the fact that none of them were there for Lynnia’s secret nuptials.

“Oh no, y’all are not about to give me shit about following my heart and marrying Dario where we were, when each one of you in some way were in on the scheme to bring the two of us together. I did what I felt was right in that moment. Besides, I’d waited long enough for that man. I couldn’t sit and wait for another minute. Hmm, what’s this?”

To center of my world,

My loving wife, you are my vision. You are my light. I’ve seen you when you thought no one else did. I know the part you close off to the world. I see you and you are my definition of beauty. How could you not have seen that before now?

Lynnia couldn’t speak for a few minutes as she read the printed list and the attached letter.

“What?” Rayna asked as she sat on the edge of a chair.

Lynnia just smiled at her sister.

“I really did marry the perfect man for me. I can’t wait to see him implement these.”

Each of sisters surrounded her to read what she had. They all nodded in response. None of them needed to speak. They each looked at each other then at Wynter. She was the only one that didn’t have that guy. The silent acceptance of the challenge rang out loudly in the glint of the eyes of each sister. It was officially their mission to get the last Norton sister set for her life with the love that she was meant to have like each of them did. Dr. Wynter Norton wouldn’t know what it her when they were done.
