Marcus gave Luca’s finger a peck, then grabbed Luca’s wrist and pulled him around the table until he came close enough for Marcus to pull him on his lap. “There’ll never be a reason for you to be jealous.”

“I was just teasing. So, how is he?”

“Still adjusting to the growing reproductive system within him. He had the chills for a couple days, and he’s hating how weak his muscles have become during his captivity, but he’s astoundingly resilient. Your parents made sure he’s got a private room, and he’s monitored all the time—which is pissing him off but good—and there’s security stationed outside his room.” Marcus leaned in for a kiss, and Luca acquiesced with interest. When they came up for air again, Marcus added, “I think he’s in love with Smith, but something went wrong, and now he’s trying to hate him. Emphasis on trying.”

“I think you’re right. There was definitely something going on with Smith and Kyle, though I’m still wondering why Smith wanted to marry me. Couldn’t he have just married Kyle if they’re in love?”

“I didn’t say Kyle’s love was reciprocated.”

Luca shifted his weight, so he was nestled comfortably on Marcus’s lap. “I think it was. You should’ve seen Smith’s face when he discovered Kyle’s bullet wound, or the way he shielded him during the shootout. That wasn’t a one-sided infatuation or anything.”

“I wish Kyle would be more forthcoming.” Marcus sighed.

Chapter Twenty-Seven

LUCA AND
Marcus fell into a companionable silence while they ate some of the sandwiches. They covered the rest and put the plates in the fridge for Luca’s parents, who so far hadn’t been seen again. Luca doubted they’d see them before dinnertime.

“Do you need to be anywhere this afternoon?”

“Anywhere but here and with you?” Marcus asked, his lips curving into a smile. “No, I don’t.”

Luca stepped closer, took Marcus’s hand, and brought it to his crotch. Marcus cupped his genitals, eliciting a moan from Luca. “Would you like to come up with me and relax for a bit?”

“I’d like that very much.”

They hurried through the small hall and up the stairs toward Luca’s room. Marcus kept hold of Luca, swiping his thumb over the back of Luca’s hand all the way. They stumbled inside, barely shutting and locking the door behind them. Luca whirled around and grasped Marcus’s shirt in his hands, tugging him closer.

In between nips at Marcus’s chin, he said, “We’re still not married, why’s that? I want to make love to my husband.”

“Boyfriend not good enough for you anymore?” Marcus walked Luca backward, his hand securely fastened around Luca’s hip as he led the way.

“We should’ve been married
weeks
ago already.”

“Our marriage would entail a big celebration, and your parents are concerned about your safety.” Marcus laid a finger on Luca’s lips, silencing him before he had a chance to protest. “I agree with them, Luca. I could never enjoy our big day the way things are now because I’d be constantly worried about you.”

Luca thumped his head against Marcus’s chest, his breath coming in fast huffs. Why did everything have to be so freaking difficult all the time? Even now the Southern Union fucked with his life and—

He withdrew his head and drew in a deep breath. “Let’s do it now. Just you and me. I’m sure we’ll find a registrar who’s willing to sign our marriage license. I’m the vice president’s son, after all.”

“You’re kidding.”

“No, I’m really not, and I’m done with the Southern Union or any kind of politics dictating my life.”

“Luca,” Marcus sighed. “What about your family? They’ll be pissed off if there’s no big celebration. This isn’t something we should rush into. Why the sudden hurry?”

“I want us to be legal. There’s still a chance for anyone to claim me, you know that. I don’t want to live with that insecurity anymore. Please?” Luca added softly, lowering his lashes when Marcus’s gaze softened.

“I know what you’re doing, and it’s not working.” Marcus chuckled, even as he bent lower to trail kisses over Luca’s cheeks, ending with one on the tip of his nose.

Luca peered up through his lashes. “Are you sure it’s not working?”

Marcus pulled him into his chest before laughing out loud. “There’s something in the way.”

Luca grinned at him, patting his swollen belly. Lowering his voice to a conspiratorial level, he said, “Did you hear that, baby boy? Daddy’s saying you’re in the way. Silly Daddy.”

“You want me to be Daddy? What’s he supposed to call you? I thought I’d be ‘Father’ to him, just like Gregory is to you.”

“You’re not strict enough. And besides, I’m the youngest, I only called them what everyone else did. We can do it our own way.” Luca shrugged, angling his body sideways to get closer to Marcus without squashing the bump.

Marcus slid a hand up to the nape of Luca’s neck, stroking up and down with two fingertips next to his spine. “So I’ll be Daddy. I like the sound of that.”

“Can we go and get married now? We could fetch my parents and… what about Kyle? You’d want him to be your witness, right? Either we convince the doctors he can leave for an hour, or we ask the registrar to come to the clinic.”

Marcus cupped Luca’s face in his hands, a flicker of uncertainty crossing his face. “Kitten, I’m not sure—”

“Are you getting cold feet?” Luca cut him off.

“No, I’m not. I just don’t want you to be disappointed. Going to the registrar’s office and getting the license will be… anticlimactic. And nothing at all what you expected.”

“No one asked me what I expected. Everyone assumed I wanted a big wedding, complete with churchgoing and the like, when it could be so much easier.” Luca shoved against Marcus’s chest, bringing some distance between them, aghast that this thought hadn’t occurred to him much earlier. “We could’ve already been married
for weeks
. It’s just a simple signature. There’s no big party needed for us to become married. Why didn’t we do it that way?”

“Because that’s very unusual. Your family has always celebrated weddings with big parties, and it’s probably expected from the vice president’s son.”

“I’m only one of the vice president’s sons, and we can always celebrate later. Please, Marcus, everything about us is unusual. Why does it matter if we add another thing to the list?” Luca’s heart slammed inside his chest as blood thrummed in his veins, almost deafening him. What did he have to say to convince Marcus? Sure, it wasn’t what he’d envisioned for himself, but he wanted the legal security. Maybe then he’d sleep better again.

“Does that mean we’ll have no sex in the next half hour?” Marcus asked, expelling a deep breath.

Luca’s gaze slid lower, catching on the outline of Marcus’s thick cock. “Hmm, methinks you’re in quite the uncomfortable condition. It wouldn’t do for you to sign the license with a raging hard-on.”

Marcus squeezed his eyes shut for a moment, and Luca laughed as Marcus’s cock pulsed visibly within the confines of his pants. “No, that really wouldn’t do. It’s only noon, the office is open till six. We could get rid of my problem, and then we’ll marry.”

“You’re right,” Luca said.

Luca sat on the edge of the bed and toed off his shoes, all the while keeping his gaze on Marcus. Confused, Marcus asked, “Right? About what?”

“This is definitely anticlimactic. We’re talking about marrying each other as if it’s nothing different than going to the store.”

“We can still do it the other way. If you really don’t want to wait, I’m sure we’ll be able to compromise and have a big celebration while still keeping you safe.” Marcus pulled his shirt over his head and threw it on the floor, making short work of the buttons on his pants. A loud groan vibrated in Marcus’s chest when he pushed his pants past his hips, allowing his erection to bob free.

Luca quickly followed his example, shedding his clothes in record time. “No, it’s okay. We can do the big celebration after the baby’s birth. That way I’ll fit into my suit.”

Marcus prowled toward Luca, cupped his face in his hands, and simply stared at him. Marcus’s cock was at the right height for Luca to suckle at the crown, so he bent forward, lapping at it. Marcus’s grip tightened, and his belly muscles quivered. “I’d say this sounds a bit vain, but I don’t want to antagonize you right now.”

“Antagonizing me would be a bad idea, a very bad idea.”

“Then I better shut up now.”

Chapter Twenty-Eight

LUCA CAST
a full-fledged smile at Marcus before he sucked the head of Marcus’s cock into his mouth, moaning when the thick girth slid between his lips, filling him. His own cock leaked precome, and he pressed his palm against his pulsing erection. Was there any better taste than Marcus’s musky scent, invading every taste bud and setting every nerve on fire?

Marcus panted as Luca brought both hands up to his bare buttocks, clutching them. The muscles flexed when Marcus pushed deeper into Luca’s mouth. Luca kneaded the tight flesh, wanting Marcus closer. He swirled his tongue around the shaft, moaning at the heaviness of Marcus’s cock inside his mouth. He’d never get enough of this. While Luca had been with a couple other men before, much to the dislike of his parents, he’d always hated blowjobs with a passion. With Marcus that had changed, like a lot of things had changed. For the first time in his life, he sought mutual release, the urge to please Marcus as strong as the need to be satisfied himself.

For a while, Luca set a steady rhythm on Marcus’s cock, lavishing it with attention while his own cock remained neglected. Marcus’s hands slid into his hair, and he pulled Luca off his cock.

“What are you doing?” Luca whined. He struggled against Marcus’s hold, albeit knowing he couldn’t win. If Marcus didn’t want him to come closer, Luca’s only option was to wait and hope Marcus had a damn good reason for keeping him away.

“You’re so eager, and I’m already so close.”

“So what? You don’t want to fuck my face?”

Marcus hissed, a sound similar to a steaming kettle about to blow. He pinched the base of his cock with one hand. The other one wiped sweat off his forehead. “Luca, I just don’t want to shoot my load, and I could come just from looking at you.”

“Well, that won’t do.” Luca grinned at him. He crawled onto the bed, fluffed up a pillow, and stretched out languidly on the mattress. After batting his lashes in mock flirtation, Luca patted the space next to his head and all but purred, “Come on, Marcus, come to me. Straddle my chest and let me suck you dry.”

A loud gasp tumbled over Marcus’s lips, and the grip on the base of his cock tightened. Marcus’s cockhead turned an angry red, bringing forth a suggestive flick of Luca’s tongue. Marcus climbed onto the bed, crawling forward on all fours, then kissed Luca. He positioned himself astride Luca’s chest, but never put any weight on Luca.

Luca’s hands immediately went to Marcus’s butt, gripping the firm globes and squeezing them. Marcus took his erection and guided it between Luca’s lips. A deep, guttural groan reverberated inside Luca when Marcus’s thick flesh invaded his mouth.

“God, Luca,” Marcus moaned.

He fell forward on his hands and canted his hips forward, feeding Luca more and more of his shaft. Luca closed his eyes to concentrate on the big vein at the underside of Marcus’s cock, the way the pulse sped up whenever he sucked on Marcus’s cockhead. He urged Marcus on, and after a moment of internal struggle, Marcus gave in. He slid in and out of Luca’s mouth, owning him. Luca took it all, loving to scrape his teeth along Marcus’s length and causing him to cry out, or to press his tongue into the slit.

The scent of sex intensified, upping Luca’s own arousal. He shifted his butt from side to side, but kept his hands on Marcus’s flexing ass muscles. As much as he wanted to touch himself, he couldn’t bring himself to let go of those roping muscles. He humped the air, wishing for some kind of friction on his own cock, when Marcus’s body tensed up. Luca slid a hand toward Marcus’s sac, moaning when he found those balls drawn up tight to Marcus’s body, ready to shoot his load into Luca’s hungry mouth.

He opened his eyes and stared into Marcus’s gray eyes, the brows furrowed in concentration, probably to fend off a mind-blowing climax. Luca gave a sharp suck on Marcus’s cock, while at the same time rolling his heavy balls into his hand. Marcus’s eyes widened, and his mouth opened in a silent shout. The first shot of semen hit the roof of Luca’s mouth, and his belly quivered in response. More and more jets filled Luca’s mouth. He swallowed convulsively, not wanting to lose any of the precious drops.

Luca’s eyes fluttered shut again as he lost himself in the sensation of licking Marcus’s softening cock, relishing in the light shivers running through Marcus’s body. He forced his eyes to open when Marcus pulled away, taking Luca’s treat with him. Before he had time to complain, Marcus dropped a few kisses on Luca’s protruding belly. He slid lower and settled between Luca’s legs, drawing Luca’s balls gently into his mouth.

Luca slapped Marcus’s shoulders as heat pooled inside his belly, unfurling faster than he was accustomed to. “Marcus! I’m… ah!”

Marcus gripped Luca’s erection and swallowed him down until Marcus’s nose touched Luca’s pubic hair. That was all it took for Luca to unravel. He shouted Marcus’s name as he pumped his hips, his climax crashing over him in rapid waves.

Moments, minutes, or maybe an eternity passed while Luca’s nerves sang a never-ending song of pleasure. When he opened his eyes, his body still thrummed with a deep satisfaction. He glanced down at himself; he found Marcus resting his head on Luca’s inner thigh, smiling up at him. “That was most pleasant.”

Luca burst into laughter. “Most pleasant? What are you? A nobleman from the Middle Ages?”

“Hey, my brain’s turned to mush. Give me credit that I’m capable of forming coherent sentences,” Marcus replied. He propped himself up on an elbow, studying Luca. “I wonder what the baby’s thinking about you crying his Daddy’s name.”

“He can’t hear us. And besides, he only knows that I’ve been very happy. He’s probably comatose right now from all the endorphins flooding his system.”
