I took a step back.

“Know your way out of here?” he asked.

Eyeing him warily, I said, “I… I’m not sure.”

He glanced over his shoulder in the direction he’d come, then looked at me. “I figured your sense of direction might be as jacked up as mine.” He jammed his hands into the pockets of his parka. “So you might need a hand getting out of here.”

I raised an eyebrow. “Your sense of direction’s messed up too? How are you going to help me?”

He glared at me. “Want to stand here and discuss it? Or start walking before I change my mind and leave you out here?” Without waiting for an answer, he turned and started down the trail.

Plenty of snide comments rested on the tip of my tongue, but I bit them back. Maybe my night vision was several times better than a wolf’s. Maybe I could follow my own sporadic tracks back to my car. Or maybe I could just shut the fuck up, be grateful he’d come back for me at all, and walk.

I walked.

Watching his back, I moistened my lips. The famished predator in me had its own reasons for wishing I could get just a
little
closer to him now, but the man in me was the overpowering voice now, the one who had to stay a few steps back and just drink him in.

The jacket did little to obscure the contrast between his broad shoulders and narrow hips. I never could decide what turned me on more: holding his hips from behind for leverage, or gripping his shoulders from below for dear life.

His dark hair, almost black even in daylight, was a little longer now, long enough for a few strands to fall into his eyes while we’d argued earlier. From the back, it slipped beneath the high collar of his parka, and my fingers curled in my pockets at the memory of running through his hair whenever we’d kissed. Whenever we’d made love.

Fuck, I’ve missed you, Levi.

The hookup from hell…or the ride of his life?

Leon’s drifter lifestyle gives him the freedom to attend as many music festivals as his heart desires. Even the ones that leave him covered in feathers.
Wet
feathers, thanks to the rain as he hitchhikes back to his hostel. When he’s offered a ride by a good-looking man in a Porsche, Leon thinks it’s his lucky night. Until he discovers his savior from the storm hides a dark secret: he’s a werewolf.

At first glance, Christoph thinks the shaggy stranger walking Berlin’s streets is a rogue werewolf. By the time he realizes his mistake, it’s too late for both of them. Forced to turn Leon into a monster to save his life, Christoph still has to suffer his pack leader's brutal punishment for endangering them all.

Leon awakens, horrified by what he’s become—but it’s his lover’s fate that spurs him to action. Freeing Christoph is easy, but the aftermath complicates everything as they go on the run, desperate to uncover the secrets their pack leader is hiding. Secrets the pack will kill to protect…

Warning: Take a trip to Europe. Soak up the local culture, meet a creature from your worst nightmares. Contains werewolves behaving badly, clothed and unclothed. Author is not responsible for unexpected, uncontrollable urges to consume massive amounts of, um, bacon.
