“Um, yeah, Mom, okay. Whatever,” he lumbered and walked out.
An hour later, checked into a suite of a nice hotel that Cash had reservations at, Stretch considered ordering room service. The flight from Portland had worn him out and the visit to his mother’s house unsettled him.
Fee walked into the sitting area. She’d changed from jeans, T-shirt and tennis shoes to a short jumpsuit and ballet flats. The sight of her legs heated his blood. He had it bad for her. It wasn’t only her body, either. It was
her
, her beliefs, and her attitude.
“You up for going downstairs with us to eat?” she asked.
He shrugged as Cash walked in.
“Told you,” Fee said to Cash. “Let’s just order in. Restaurants are overrated anyway.”
Stretch smiled at Fee. “If you say so.”
“I do,” she insisted, grabbing the folder with the information for the guests, including the room service menu. She sat on one of the nearby chairs. “I’ll have the penne pasta.”
“I’ll have the biscuits and gravy,” Stretch said, once he looked at the menu and decided against a barbeque chicken sandwich. His father always made the best barbeque. At a young age, he’d schooled Stretch in on the differences between the various sauces. “My father’s dead,” he said to no one in particular, returning to his seat on the sofa. “I should’ve called him. Took it upon myself to make up with him.”
Cash’s obscenity almost drowned out Fee’s cluck of sympathy. A moment later, she sat next to him and laid her head on his shoulder. “You only would’ve ended up hurt if what I witnessed today is anything to judge by. Don’t beat yourself up.”
“He was my father, Fee.”
“Exactly. He was your father,” she echoed. “He had some responsibility…No, he had
all
of the responsibility. The burden of rejection was on his shoulders, not yours. The reason for turning his back on you is proof that you were better off without him in your life.”
Stretch nodded, torn up inside.
“Do you know the difference between Texas style barbeque sauce and Kansas City style?” he asked, to lighten the mood.
“Umm, the taste,” she guessed.
“And the consistency.” Cash stared at Stretch through his lashes, giving no hint to his thoughts. “Some Texas recipes also contain coffee as opposed to vinegar.”
“You would know that, Southern boy,” Fee teased.
Chuckling, Cash winked at her, offering an elaborately sweeping bow. He tipped an imaginary hat to her. “At your service, ma’am,” he drawled.
She poked her tongue at Cash. “You’re a wicked flirt.”
“You’re a dirty seductress,” he tossed back, folding his arms and leaning against the wall.
“Let’s get back to the conversation, Cash,” she said primly. “We’re cheering Stretch up, so get your mind out of the gutter.”
“My mind isn’t in the gutter, princess,” Cash retorted. “It’s in your panties and his boxer briefs.”
High color rose into her cheeks and she licked her lips. Cash’s words went straight to Stretch’s cock. Fee was right. The man was a wicked flirt.
“Let me finish schooling you on the sauces.”
The timbre of Cash’s voice, the desire on his face made Stretch’s balls tingle.
“KC uses molasses and sugar to thicken the sauce, and vinegar to add tanginess. KC has some of the richest sauces around, although Texas has the best tasting.” He smirked at Stretch. Cash loved to point out how everything was bigger and better in Texas. “Our sauce has a Mexican influence with hot peppers, cumin, and chili powder. It’s thinner, too.”
“No vinegar?” Fee asked.
“In some recipes,” Stretch answered, considering himself the barbeque maestro between them. He’d been weaned on it. “A lot of the store brands are similar to
my
city’s style.” He added this fact to annoy Cash.
“Do either of you really give a fuck about barbeque sauce right now?” Cash asked, sex always uppermost on his mind.
Cash’s father thought money solved everything. Cash believed fucking did.
Unbuttoning his shirt, Cash nodded to Stretch and Fee to do the same. As Fee stood, lifted her hair, and presented her back to Stretch so he’d undo her zipper, he froze.
He’d have no excuse not to remove his jeans. He’d done it before in front of them, but he preferred not to, especially after his run-in with Dillon and Uncle Harry. He didn’t want to disappoint her. Fee saw him as a man and not a cripple. Still, he wasn’t yet ready to bare all his vulnerability in front of her, and risk changing her perception of him.
“Unzip me,” she said.
Not responding, Stretch did as he was told. In the moment and not lost in bitterness and grief, he wondered why he’d never taken Cash’s suggestion seriously and looked into surgery. He
didn’t
have the money for it, but he’d know the particulars. Instead of feeling sorry for himself, he could’ve gotten a loan from a bank or a credit union.
“Stand up.” Allowing her jumpsuit to slip to the ground and stepping out of it, Fee grabbed his hand and pulled. “I want to do something.”
Stretch stood, settling his hands on Fee’s waist and caressing the contours of her body, beautifully displayed in a striped orange panty set. She balanced on her tiptoes and kissed his lips before dragging him to Cash.
“We could all use a hug,” she said, her hands going to his cut before raining kisses across his still-covered chest.
“You’re right,” Stretch agreed, touched yet again by her sweetness.
Although Fee was Zoann’s height of five feet seven inches, she was still shorter than him and Cash. Stretch lifted her off her feet so she could wrap her arms around both their necks, the mounds of her tits tempting him to boldness. He’d never felt confident enough to take her into his arms, without it somehow involving Cash. The day in the woods didn’t count. They’d been fully clothed. In the back of his mind, he’d always feared she’d reject him, believing she’d always want Cash more than she did him.
Tugging her away from Cash and setting her on her feet, he bent and took her mouth in a deep, soul-searing kiss. Her passionate response unfurled something inside of him. He’d shed so many tears—he’d
bled
—just to be wanted, loved, and needed. Fee demanded only honesty from him, from
them
, in exchange for her love. He had it in him to offer the same. He had it in him to forgive himself and everyone who’d ever wronged him.
He also had it in him to share Cash with Fee, and Fee with Cash, and know he had a place with them.
Lifting her again, he turned toward the bed, as she wrapped her legs around his waist. Unbuckling his belt and opening his fly, he sat on the edge of the bed, his head buried between her tits. Licking the delicate skin of her chest, he pushed the seat of her panties aside and slid into her pussy.
She was hot and wet and silky. Grinding against him, she threw her head back and groaned. Overcome with wanting her, Stretch thrusted up into her, moving in and out of her, growling in ecstasy. Regretting the clothes between them, he ripped her panties away.
“Undress, baby, please,” she breathed.
Fuck, if she would’ve asked him to scale the Eiffel Tower right then, he would’ve. He hated to pull out of her, but to undress he had to. Sitting her next to him, he stood.
“My leg’s ugly,” he warned her.
She fell against the pillows and opened her legs, fingering her swollen clit. “Nothing about you is ugly,” she said on a little whimper that almost made Stretch come then and there.
“Get on your knees, Fee,” Cash directed, suddenly right next to Stretch. “Stretch is going to fuck you from behind while I fuck him.”
Stretch grinned.
Without hesitating, Fee removed her bra and got on all fours, leaving her tits hanging. Unable to resist, Stretch caressed the curvature of her spine. “I want to suck your tits,” he told her.
“What’s stopping you?” she returned, lifting herself on her knees and thrusting her tits in his face.
“So true.” Taking a taut nipple into his mouth, Stretch sucked, twirling his tongue around the peek, enjoying her sighs of pleasure, his own groan escaping him at the feel of Cash running his lips along his back, all the way down to his sac.
Tingles raced down Stretch’s spine at the feel of Cash’s mouth on him and his fingers stimulating inside his ass. Fee’s scent and the sound of her voice almost drove him over the edge.
“I want to come while I’m fucking you, Fee,” he said, “not like this.”
“Your wish is my command,” she swore, resuming her position on all fours.
The moment Stretch slid into her, Cash crawled behind him, and glided inside of him, filling the room with the cries of their combined bliss and making Stretch forget the ugliness of the day.
Smiling, Fee held up the two boxes of glazed donuts she’d insisted Stretch stop and purchase since
he
was determined to return to his mother’s house bright and early the next morning.
Already, Lena glanced between Fee and Stretch, her pitiful gaze finally falling on Cash.
“Donuts,” Fee said, still holding the boxes out. “I’m sure you have a long day of planning ahead.”
“Yes.” Stepping aside but not taking the food, Lena allowed them entry, closing the door behind them and throwing the house into semi-darkness. If not for the soft hum of voices, Fee would’ve sworn it was the middle of the night. “Louis, thank you for coming back last night.”
His cheeks reddened and he looked at his feet.
“
Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord
,” Lena quoted, grating on Fee’s nerves.
“Stretch, er, Louis,” she changed at Lena’s mean look, “didn’t return after he promised. I know this. Totally my fault, Lena. When we got to our hotel, I was tired and hungry. Stretch wanted to get me settled in before he came back. Then, we got to talking and time got away from us.”
“Shut up, Fee,” Stretch rushed out on a whisper. “You’ll have her quoting about living in sin.”
Oh, Jesus, perish the thought.
They remained in the hallway, not moving. Because of what she’d said? Scared to open her mouth and say the wrong thing, she stood in silent misery.
“Where did you sleep, Cash?” Lena asked.
Cash narrowed his eyes, his hair-trigger temper on the verge of erupting. “In a bed. Why?”
“With my son?”
Stretch’s flush deepened and he leaned more of his weight on his cane. “Mom—”
“What business is that of yours?” Cash barked, never one to take bullshit.
“
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
That isn’t the case with Louis. I certainly didn’t train him to be a filthy beast.”
All at once, whatever confidence Stretch had gotten from last night, over the weeks they’d gotten to know each other, escaped him. Before Fee’s eyes, he deflated.
Hands on hips, Lena glared at Cash.
“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”
This bitch.
“Look, lady,” Cash began. “You’re working on my last fucking nerve with your bible quoting. When you find the fucking verse about casting the first fucking stone, talk to me. Otherwise, shut the fuck up.”
Hands flying to her mouth, Lena gasped.
Stretch closed his eyes. Taking pity, Fee sat the donut boxes down on a wooden chair and jumped into the fray. She was glad the voices in the background continued on. They didn’t need to add Dillon and Uncle Harry to this volatility.
“Lena, it is never good to discuss religion,” she said. “My momma always told me religion and politics were the quickest way to lose friends.”
Lena transferred her glare to Fee. “I’m not discussing religion, young lady. I’m living it. What are
you
doing but covering for
their
sins? That makes you no better. Worse.”
“Mom, I won’t have you insulting Ophelia,” Stretch snapped, surprising all of them into silence. “You’re spouting your verses? What about this one?
There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
I’m here to help you and to help plan Dad’s services. I thought it could be a fresh start for you and me.
You
called
me
. That’s the reason I’m here.”
Tears rushing to her eyes, Lena lifted her chin. “You remember the teachings of your childhood.”
“Of course I do. I’m still your son. I’m still human. Just because I’ve grown into a man you’re ashamed of, doesn’t mean I don’t have feelings. I bleed like you. But this is it. If I walk away with bad blood between us, write me off as your son. When I left, I didn’t want to go. I was forced out. I’m back now. I want a fresh start.”
“I was so angry with you for making your father, uncles, and cousins, hurt you. I’ve prayed for your soul. Prayed for the day that you’d choose what’s right and normal.”
“I’ve always liked girls,” Stretch mumbled.
Fee laid her head on his chest and hugged him, smiling when he kissed her forehead.
She tilted his head toward her. “I want to fuck you,” she whispered.
He startled and stared at her as if he didn’t believe her. As if he wasn’t a beautiful man, worthy of hot sex in forbidden places. She’d have to show him otherwise. “Meet me in the bathroom as soon as you can.”
Grazing his cock with her arm, she grinned at the hardness, then turned to his mother. If grief and disgust pinched her face before, outrage had been added into the mixture, but Fee wouldn’t apologize. She’d whispered to Stretch and, unless Lena’s mind stayed in the gutter, she couldn’t know what they talked about.
But Cash did. A sexual being himself, he always picked on the body’s signals. His enigmatic expression offered Fee no clue to his thoughts. He might be jealous or frustrated. She wasn’t sure.
Hoping he understood, she winked at him. “Can you show me to the bathroom?” she asked Lena.
“I can show her, if you don’t mind,” Stretch offered. “Cash needs coffee and donuts. Can you show him to the kitchen, Mom?”
Lena offered a terse nod, then snatched the donuts off the chair. “Follow me.”
“If I fuck one of your relatives up, don’t say anything,” Cash warned, stalking behind Lena.
“Wow, that was so easy,” Fee observed, the moment they were alone. She’d expected major objections to Stretch’s suggestion.
“My mom thinks you’re a smokescreen.”
Yes, because his mom was a bitch. Cash was letting his displeasure be known. Stretch didn’t need both of them acting like assholes and deriding a decision he’d made from the heart. She winked at him. “If Lena only knew how much you
do
like girls.”
And how well he pleasured them. Fee was a lucky woman to have firsthand knowledge of how he felt between her legs, of getting to see this man come undone.
“I do like girls, Fee,” he swore. “I just prefer guys.”
She wrapped her arms around his neck and bit his chin. “I can’t tell,” she cooed. “I’d say you like us equally. You pull out all the stops to pleasure me.”
He grinned, showing his dimples. “Definitely.” Stealing a kiss from her, he squeezed her hips.
“Fee, you don’t have to do this,” Stretch said, the moment they were alone.
Placing her finger over his mouth, Fee shushed him. “Bathroom, now,” she demanded. “Before I jump you right here.”
He grinned. Taking her hand, he led her to a small bathroom at the end of the hallway. When he flicked the light on, mold around the wash basin greeted her.
“I’m sorry about—”
“Shh.” Fee gripped his cock through his chins and squeezed. “My pussy is so hot and wet for you. I don’t think we have much time, so why don’t you slide my jeans down and see for yourself?”
Kissing her frantically, Stretch unbuttoned her jeans before doing the same with his. Once he slid them to her ankles, she stepped out of one side to better maneuver her legs. Because of his weak leg, he couldn’t stand up and support her weight, too, so she leaned against the closed toilet and braced her arms. The small confines added more wanton naughtiness to their encounter.
Fee pushed her ass against his hard cock, gasping at the feel of it against the outer lips of her pussy.
“Inside of me, now.”
With a deep grunt, he thrust into her, going as deep as possible, and starting an in and out motion that curled Fee’s toes.
“Fuck me fast and hard.”
Obliging, he shook her entire body with the force of his movements, his balls slapping against her clit
“Oh my God!” she gasped. “You feel so good.”
“Shut it, Ophelia,” he ordered, his husky voice heightening her desire. “Come quick, because my dick’s about to explode, baby.”
“Come then,” she told him, squeezing the walls of her pussy.
Stretch fingered her clit and Fee shivered, her body starting to tremble in release, wave after wave pleasure hitting her. A small noise escaped the back of her throat, and Stretch clapped on hand over her mouth as he spurted into her.
Fee didn’t waste time getting complete control of her breathing. Straightening, she used toilet paper to clean herself up as best she could before splashing water onto her face and washing her hands.
“Your mom’s so going to know what we’ve been doing.”
Stretch zipped his jeans. “Especially with your eyes all soft and your face so pink.”
Fee glanced at herself in the dingy mirror. She looked well-satisfied. “Well, I’ll just tell her the Holy Spirit has invaded me.,” she said with a smirk.
Opening the door, she walked out with Stretch’s laughter ringing in her ears. Most importantly, the gloom that had returned to him at his mother’s arguing had been swept away.
Or, in their case,
fucked
away.
