Excerpt from Embracing Her Desires
Lara Emmons quietly took her place between Peter and Fischer Weston smiling to herself because they’d both taken a step to the side making room for her despite the fact she knew they hadn’t actually seen her come in behind them. It always amazed her when they sensed her approach. They had been standing shoulder to shoulder when she’d stepped silently into the room, but they had each taken a single step in opposite directions before she’d even closed the door behind her. Dressed in matching all black tuxes, the two men were mouth-wateringly gorgeous. It still took her breath away at times when she looked at them. And knowing all the delights hidden below those dapper garments? Holy craptastic capers, Batman, just standing close to them was enough to make a girl swoon.
Trying not to snicker at her melodramatic thoughts—damn she really did need to stop watching late night television—Lara focused on the fact that even though both men were Doms, they didn’t let it keep them from being courteous to everyone they came into contact with. And speaking of contact—sweet God in heaven their touch, even the casual way they were carefully maintaining contact from shoulders to hips was sending shivers up and down her spine. Lara loved the feeling of being cossetted between them. The warmth from their bodies almost made up for the next-to-nothing dress the two of them had chosen for her to wear, even standing perfectly still the hem barely covered the bottom curve of her ass cheeks. Lara was grateful the reception was inside because the slightest breeze was sure to move the
almost
translucent fabric, exposing her bare girly bits to every guest in the room. And while it was true most of the people here were members of Dark Desires, there were still several from the vanilla world who might not think seeing her pink bits was appropriate. Squirming at the thought, Lara gasped when Fischer gave her a quick swat, “Stop squirming, cupcake.”
Yes, sireee, it was just like the man to wait until there was nothing between her ass and his hand but a handful of threads to become completely focused on every move she made. Lara had spent months trying to tempt Fischer into touching her, and just when she’d finally resigned herself to the fact he wasn’t interested, everything changed.
Fischer Weston had been Cameron Barnes’ second-in-command but had taken the helm at Dark Desires after Cam decided to move his family to St. Maarten. Shortly before the Barnes moved, Fischer’s brother, Peter, had been dispatched to help secure the club following threats to CeCe, and Lara learned quickly why Fischer had been holding back. Now, Kyle and Kent West were purchasing Dark Desires, and both Weston brothers were acting as managers. The three of them had been living in the Barnes’ former penthouse apartment and Lara marveled every day at how much her life had changed in such a short time.
Mentally shaking her head as she remembered how often she’d dreamed of being naked and at Fischer’s mercy before it had become a reality. Lara thought back on how the handsome Dom had nearly driven her out of her mind with his attention and flirting—always close, but just out of reach. She’d been able to
see
his interest, but he’d always stopped just short of pushing it further and Lara had wondered a thousand times what she was doing wrong. She could still remember every detail about the first time they met, it was the day she’d finally gotten up the nerve to step through the front doors of Dark Desires and inquire about membership.
It had taken her weeks to get up the courage to track down the kink club she’d heard so much about and then even longer to have the nerve to actually decide to visit. Hell, she had made several attempts before actually making her way inside. During the first few forays, she hadn’t even made it past the gatehouse at the street. It was a miracle the security guard working in the small building hadn’t called the police…hell, it was a wonder he hadn’t dropped a net over her until the local mental health hospital could dispatch the white coat brigade to retrieve her. She’d known he watched her pace up and down the sidewalk trying desperately to work up the nerve to request admittance, she’d even seen him trying to suppress a smile a time or two. After she’d gotten a job at the club, he’d teased her about her reluctance and when she’d flushed in mortification he’d given her a solid swat welcoming her to the fun side of town.
