David was just as proud as any man would be, to be dancing with Melody, his mother.  “Mom, you're a terrific dancer.  Dad is so lucky and he knows it.  Mom?”

“What David?” she asked as they slowly went about the dance floor.

“In front of outside people, may I call you Melody?  I don't mean any disrespect, but you look like you should be my date, I'm older than you are now and I don't want to stir up questions.”  His face showed the seriousness of the problem.

“I guess so David, it would be impossible for anyone to think I could possibly be your mother.  Whenever we're outside of home I want you to call me Mel or Melody,” she stated.

Noticing the look of relief on his face she asked, “Why, did anyone ask you who I was?”

“Mom . . . I mean Mel, that girl I was dancing with wanted to know if I was with anyone.  I told her that Jonathan and me were your escorts this evening.  It didn't seem to make her very happy.”

Then laughing and whirling her around much faster he said, “She's really jealous of you, you know?  And those young men sitting over there behind them are jealous of me dancing with you.”

He hugged her and kissed her lightly on the lips, “Mom,” he whispered low, “I'm so happy tonight.  I drove that girl wild with desire, I could tell, and I was under complete control the whole time!  Dad's teaching me more about control of those sensations and it's working!”

David would stare down the men who repeatedly tried to reach Melody to ask her to dance.  Then he held her possessively as he walked her back to the table, just as if she was his woman.  The men got the threatening message clearly.

“Thanks David, I really only want to dance with you and Jon.”  Looking around she couldn't find him.  “Where is he anyway?”

David ordered a third drink and made this one a Hurricane.  “David, I know you're a grown man but sweetheart, that drink will knock you for a loop.”

“I can take it, I have control, remember,” he said self assured.

“Then order me one and another for Jon,” Mel said.

He got up after the waitress didn't return.  The place had become a zoo in only thirty minutes and the one waitress was being overworked.

Mary came back to the table laughing and breathless.  “Mel, I haven't had this much fun in years!  How about you?”

“I'm having a ball, but I'm afraid that David might be drinking too much, he just ordered a Hurricane!”

“Wow!  Does he know the punch it has?” Mary asked with clear worry.

“No!  I tried to tell him but he's on this, ‘I'm in total control, Mom’ kick.  So, I'll just let it kick him!”  Melody said with determination.  Looking around she asked, “Have you seen Jonathan?  Where's Mark, anyway?”

“Oh, you mean our two studs?  Well, they're over there,”  Mary pointed to a cluster of women.  “They're trying to prove to us that they're still desirable to other women, I think.  Anyway, they're grinning like cats in a room full of canaries.  There isn't a woman in this room who hasn't run her fingers through their hair, it's sickening!”

“Those rats!” Mel said as she squinted her eyes to see them better.

The men were across the room and beside themselves with all those women fawning over them and flirting outrageously at the two grinning males.

Two also handsome young men in their mid-twenties came and asked Mel and Mary to dance.  The girls looked at each other then at their men being pawed and both said, “Sure!”

David sat at the bar and was fighting off females himself when he spotted his mom and his “Aunt” Mary dancing with two strange men.

David looked well over twenty-one and he knew it so he wasn’t worried about being carded.  He sat and stared, trying to see the women as not his Mother and her friend but as the other men saw them.  He succeeded and was very pleased with the fact that even if she wasn't his mother, besides Beth, she was the prettiest young woman he had ever seen.  She was beautiful inside and out, like his Beth.

He was admiring how well they looked dancing when he saw the man Melody was with press her against him.  It was obvious she excited him.  She pushed him back.  David continued to watch in case she couldn't handle him, but she managed well.  He got the drinks and returned to the table, refusing offers to dance or join other groups.

He drank down a third of his drink and noticed that his dad and Uncle Mark were still letting the women drool over them.  He laughed to himself thinking,
I guess so many women have never given Dad this much attention in his life!

He must really be lapping it up.  But, he sure better keep a closer eye on Mom though.  Some of these men are strong by earth standards and Mom is just a normal strength female.
He worried more as he thought about the violent rapes and killings that happened here all to frequently.

A really beautiful blond sat down beside him and began running her hand up his thigh and further.  He relaxed back in the seat and decided to see just how far she would carry things.  Besides, he convinced himself, no one was watching, he hadn't asked her to sit down, she just did it.

Mark was watching David with his mouth open.  He hit Jon rather hard in the ribs to get his attention.  They both looked in amazement at the things the girl was doing to David.  David's face never changed expressions, but after a few minutes, he suddenly moved her hand and agreed to dance with her, just once.

When the men saw that he had stopped her, they both let out their breaths and returned their attention back to the ladies who were being almost equally attentive to them.

“My Planets, Jon!  Isn't that illegal or something?”  Mark said with his mouth dropped in shock twice in five minutes as he gazed at David and the girl dancing.

“Mark, have you ever seen the movie
Dirty Dancing
?”

Mark just watched with his mouth still open and shook his head from left to right.

“That's the kind of dance they do.  It's erotic to say the least, but it's not illegal.”  Jonathan decided that as soon as David finished his show that they should be leaving.

“What's wrong with these women!  Have they lost all their senses and morality?” Mark exclaimed as he heatedly headed to get Mary and for them to get out of there.

“Well!  I certainly hope that the three of you enjoyed yourselves!” Melody exclaimed fuming as she climbed into the back of the limo.

“Us!  Listen to me young Lady, what I saw you doing wasn't exactly the kind of thing that I wanted to watch my wife doing with another man, and a perfect stranger at that!”  Jonathan had a guilty look that said that he was trying to justify himself.

“Well, Mister Jonathan Jontu, I wasn't letting them paw all over me!  Really!  That was . . . it was . . . there's just only one thing to call it . . . completely immoral!  Completely Un-Bond like!” Melody exclaimed loudly with her eyes flashing fire.

Jon realized that maybe he had let the woman go too far after all.  “Baby, baby,” he tried to sooth, “I just wanted to make you a little jealous.  You were having such a good time with that single horned beast that it made me want to get your attention.”

“My attention!  You got everyone’s attention!” Mel yelled into his face.

David stayed quiet in case they decided to jump onto him for his own behavior.  He knew that his dad would eventually smooth his mom's feathers, he always could.

“David, you're really an excellent dancer!” Mary stated with genuine admiration.

Uh, oh, he had been hoping that they wouldn't mention him.  “Thanks, Aunt Mary!”  Then grinning at the other two men he said, “I do love to dance!  It's helped me learn better coordination and control.  I enjoy the way it helps to keep my blood pumping!”

Jon and Mark couldn't help but burst out laughing at that.  “That type of dancing does help to get the ole blood pumping, doesn't it?!” Mark roared.

It took the girls a few seconds to get the innuendo, then they tried to hide their smiles behind the bags they quickly held up in front of them.  Mary leaned over and whispered to Mel, “Let's see just how well their blood is pumping when we get them home.”

Mel, nodded agreement.  She might just try for that baby, one more time, she thought happily to herself.

“David, if you get a hangover Dad's got some medicine to help you with it.  He made it for me and it really works great,” Melody said.

“Mom, I won't get a hangover.  I tell my body what I want it to do.  You know that,” David said.

“No David, I didn't know that, not really.  I knew that you had some control, but not total.”  Melody looked hurt, then looked questionably at Jon.

“David's matured very quickly Mel.  He's learning more now than I ever dreamed possible.”  That was Jonathan's only reply.

They got home and supper was waiting for them.  Jon had notified the kitchen staff they would be late when they left to get the girls.  Mark and Mary called all their children to the table.

“I want to propose a toast,” Mark said.  “To our soon to be new prince and our daughter, may their marriage in two weeks be one that's filled with as much love and wonder as both their parent's have been.”

“Only two weeks?” David exclaimed with joy.

“David after seeing you there tonight, I know that you have enough restraint to be a gentle husband and loving mate.  If any other un-bonded man had been tested like that, he couldn't have stood it.  I barely could, and I was just watching,” Mark said with genuine pride and a wink.

David felt like hiding under the table.  So his private little enjoyment hadn't been so private after all.

Jonathan and Melody were just pleased that their son's torment would soon be stopped.

CHAPTER ELEVEN: DAVID MARRIES

A week had gone by and David had been controlling his Stirrings on a minute by minute basis for the past two days.  He laid in his bed thinking about medicine then his thoughts would return to Beth.  He wondered if she would have danced with him like that other woman did.  He doubted it, she wasn't mature enough for that yet.  Then he became afraid that she might not be mature enough emotionally for him in the one week that they had left.  With his thoughts troubling him he reached for her with his mind and found her.

Beth knew that David was worried about something, but she didn't know what.  She was taking a bath when she felt him gently probing her mind.  Oh, so he wonders if I'm getting emotionally mature now, huh.  She allowed him to see what the doctors had told her earlier today.

“Beth, you're now the equivalent of eighteen, we don't understand it, maybe it's because you're bonding with David, but we're not sure.”  She allowed David to see the scene as if he was looking through her eyes.

“Now, Mister David Jontu, try on this emotional and sexual maturity for size!”  She let go with her own restraints and allowed passion to flood over her body.  She let him feel what she was feeling as she touched her skin with the sponge.  After a few minutes she dropped the sponge and used her hands to stroke her top, stomach, thighs . . . .

She knew by his mind that he was literally on fire, then she blocked his thoughts from probing, smiling to herself.

Melody and Jonathan were almost asleep when they heard what sounded like a charging bear's roar coming from David's room.  Before Jon and Mel could get out the door David came bursting through to them.

“Mom!  Dad!  Beth is driving me insane!  She's taunting me with her mind.  She gets me sooo hot that she knows I can’t stand it another second, then she cuts me off!  That's just too cruel!  Why is she doing me like this?!”

Melody saw that his eyes were violet.  “Come here, baby!”  He sat down beside her and she laid his head on her comforting shoulder.  As she patted and gently rubbed those iron tense back muscles he had, she tried to help him relax.

       “Was she probing
your
mind or was it you probing
hers
?”

“It's me,” he readily admitted.  “But I was just trying to see how mature she was emotionally, I didn't try to stimulate her.  She let me see what the doctors said today.  She's now eighteen, they don't understand it and think it may be because of our pre-bonding.  That part was fine, but then I felt that she was trying to prove something to me.  She started letting me feel her skin while she bathed and let me feel the passion that she caused to flow all over her body.  Then she cut me off!”  David's eyes were filled with tears.

“Thank the Planets that you can't do me that way!” Jonathan said to Melody furiously.

“David, if I were you I'd probe her mind again and give her a dose of her own medicine!” Jonathan said, filled with anger that Beth could be so cruel to his son.

“Jon, that won't do anything but make matters much worse.  And it’s not right or moral for either one to do that to the other and you know it.  They will have to have the wedding tomorrow!  That's all there is to it.  I know that Mark is just as much a man as you or David, if you tell him what she's doing, surely he'll agree.”  Melody had David calmed thinking that he only had to suffer one more night alone in his present condition.

“Mark, I need to talk with you.  Yes now.  It's urgent!”  Jonathan said over the intercom.  Mark could see that Jon was still in his pajamas and Mel and David looked upset as he looked at the monitor.

Jonathan went down the hall and met Mark as he came out of his room, they went into Mark's study.  Jonathan had a man to man talk.  Mark readily agreed that this would have to be concluded tomorrow morning.  To teach Beth a lesson he wasn't even going to tell her until morning.  They both went in to give David the elixir that might help him sleep tonight.

Jonathan awoke knowing that he had an awful lot to get done early.  He shook Melody and they started making calls.

Before it was time for breakfast everything was set.  Jonathan had a crew moving people out of the south wing.  That would be David and Beth's home until Jonathan found another home suitable for all of them.  He realized that his little castle was getting crowded.  He'd been thinking of moving everyone in another year anyway.

Beth was more than surprised and also happy to find out that today was to be her wedding day.  She felt it had been ridiculous of them to make them wait so long any way.

David was as thrilled a groom as any they'd seen while Beth was absolutely radiant.  David and his bride were both stunning in their royal crowns.  Beth was truly a Princess, she carried the bloodline as well as the H'trae and Earth women’s own unique powers.  She certainly knew how to use them on David.  He loved it, despite the torment it had caused him.

       Everyone enjoyed David and
Elizabeth
’s wedding banquet brunch after the ceremony.

Immediately after, David and Beth hurriedly left to go to their own new joint living quarters.

A new family has been started once again.

Time went by quickly as David and Beth continued their education and professional prowess.

David became an exceedingly excellent physician while his spare time was spent singing and playing in his now rather large rock band.

Melody noticed with a smile that she saw a lot of her smothered haminess in her talented son.

He perfected a new musical instrument similar to a guitar, but with many other sounds in it as well, like a keyboard.  He received a patent on it.  The Tone Master  was now flying off the shelves of stores, with musical enthusiasts mesmerized at the variety of sound and the quality it provided.

Beth swore to many, “I know he’s simply a singing star at heart.  The big ham!”

She, on the other hand, became the lead H’traeian scientist here on Earth.  The skills and knowledge that she and David had were far broader than any even the best on H'trae had.

David and Beth did share some of their knowledge with the outside world, but did so only when their conscience started bothering them, which Mel and Mary helped to stir up at every opportunity to aid people here on their “home” planet.

Even the small amount that the two brilliant minds decided to share had sadly made them famous overnight.

David traveled around the world showing his technique for optic nerve restoration, using only the materials that people currently had.  He brought sight back to many thousands of the blind.  His joy was with working with children.  He did all surgeries on children and the elderly free through a foundation that the Jontu family had set up, through a complicated trust's trust.  This kept the family's name secret, at least for a while.  David taught thousand’s of physicians his new techniques.

He also developed a method of using a special moldable plastic clay with micro processors that restored hearing in the deaf.

Fame followed him and Beth constantly so they had to be on guard at all times, lest they slip and reveal their true IQ, which they hid.

Jonathan worked closely with David and became proficient in his own rights.  He was extremely skilled in many scientific and medical areas with research being what he loved the most.  He proved himself to be almost as good a physician as David.

Melody found herself extremely pleased when Beth and David asked her to help raise her new grandson Zack.   They had waited before starting their family, now Zack was the new little soul that kept them all busy.

That thrilled her and gave her a feeling of contentment.

Time finally came when most of the men and their happy wives and children returned to H’trae.  The men were thrilled with their Bonded mates and the wives were deeply in love with their spouses.

Children tended to be brighter than their parents usually, this surprised everyone.  All this made H’trae a more secure planet.  Everyone was eternally thankful to Prince Jonathan Jontu and his First in Command Mark Zanlea.

Jonathan’s family tried to talk him into returning home, but Melody refused to go.  David and his family wanted to stay if Melody stayed, then Mary and Mark wouldn’t leave without them.  So the Jontu's and the Zanlea’s along with a few other families stayed, while their friends went back to H'trae.

Mark and Jonathan had too close a friendship to ever be separated.  Each seemed contented with their decision to remain.

To everyone else in town the Jontu's were just a rich young family of very talented people living communal style with other families in their huge mansion on the beach.

       “Jonny, do you ever
wis
h we’ve moved back to your first home?” Melody asked as she ran a finger gently down the rim of his ear.

With his eyes a deep, deep blue he sent her his true emotions.

       “Ohh, so you feel
this
is your home?  Forever?” she asked.

Nodding his head he reached for her and admitted, “You, my sweet love happen to be my whole world.  Wherever you are, that’s where my home is.”

Their kiss reaffirmed for her and removed those few doubts she had of him wanting to leave Earth.  She sighed with contentment as they shared their hearts, souls, minds and spirit with one another – again.
