“Do you have their numbers?”

“No,” George snorted.

“Names? Vague physical descriptions?”

He laughed at that. “Nothing that’s going to help me find them, no. Now do you think I’m a slut?”

“You need to stop using that word,” Alex said mildly. He took another sip of his coffee. “You’re a sexually active person. There’s no reason for anyone to twist that into a derogatory word. Least of all you.”

George humphed.

“Can we catch up this weekend? You can stay at mine if you like.”

“We can’t—” George started, sounding panicked.

“I know,” Alex said, teasing and soothing at the same time. “I’m sure we can find other things to do to occupy our time.”

“Okay,” George said. “Shit. I need to get back to work.”

“No worries. I’ll talk to you later, okay?”

“Yeah.”

Alex squeezed his hand again and watched George leave. He still seemed full of that nervous energy but no longer looked like someone had just pissed on his hamster and stolen his lollipop.

“Fuck, shit, bollocks,” Alex muttered under his breath, and allowed himself to have a moment. He glanced at his watch and slid out of his chair, pulling his phone out of his pocket and dialing the familiar number. “George got tested,” Alex said, rubbing the bridge of his nose as he walked back toward the university.

“I’m at work, Alex,” Doug grumbled as he answered. “Don’t you have a class or something?”

“This is important. George has chlamydia.”

“Fucking hell.”

“Apparently one of your sauna buddies told him to go get tested for HIV, and he’s clear of that, but he caught something from a random hookup whose name he can’t even remember.”

“Well that’s bad luck. He’s got some antibiotics?”

“Yeah.”

“You’re going to go get an appointment?”

“Yeah.”

Alex waited at the traffic lights for them to turn red, then bustled across the road with the crowd.

“Then is it really a problem? I’m guessing this is something that happened before you two got together.”

“Are we together?”

“If you’re disclosing your sexual health status and relationship history to each other, then yes.”

“Bollocks.”

“Indeed. Look, Alex, the guy likes you enough to go get tested, then actually tell you the results instead of pretending it’s all good. I’d say you’re in relationship territory. And good for you. I like George. He’s fucking fit, and you seem to click with each other. Take this for what it is—being a grown-up and dealing with life as it happens.”

“Okay. I’m going to go to my class now. Thanks, Doug.”

“Yeah, yeah.”

IT
had been a normal Saturday, George would have been preparing for a rugby game in the afternoon. As it was, their match had been canceled when the other team couldn’t get a full side together, so he had the whole weekend open.

Alex had come over in his shiny new car to pick him up because parking in Marchmont was permit holders only, and it was a bitch to find a space. George thought he’d feel trapped by that, like he couldn’t leave whenever he wanted. It wasn’t like that with Alex, though. He packed enough in his rugby kit bag to be able to stay until Monday morning. Then he could catch a bus to work and another home, and spend even more time with Alex.

Alone.

Of course, the first thing that happened on Friday afternoon was that they fucked like bunnies.

Safe bunnies. Safe bunnies who used condoms.

George’s eyes were strangely gluey from his efforts to deep-throat Alex’s majestic cock.

The sun was making its slow descent over the horizon and from his spot sprawled on Alex’s bed, George could just make out the last of the golden glow as it disappeared through the houses. Despite the encroaching darkness, neither of them made any move to put on a light.

“What’s your official title, then?” George asked, tracing patterns on Alex’s chest with his fingertips.

“Ugh,” Alex groaned. He stretched like a cat, sated, apparently adoring the attention that was being lavished upon him. “Well, actually, it’s not as complicated as it is with the British royal family. I’m just ‘Prince.’ Though I dropped that from all of my paperwork and stuff as soon as I could.”

“Why?”

“Because I don’t like the attention it draws,” Alex said. He skimmed his fingers over George’s head. “It was on my passport, my driving license, all of that crap. It made getting on a plane a big fucking deal, because airport security wanted to lock the place down until the flight took off.

“I got in a fight once,” he continued.

“You?” George laughed. “Seriously?”

“Yeah. It was stupid. When I was at Cambridge. Christ, I hated it there.”

“Who were you fighting?”

“Just some drunk twat who decided to insult my mother. I landed one punch, but he caught me right in the jaw, and I went down like a sack of spuds.”

He mimed swinging his fist and planted it, ever so gently, on George’s face.

George kissed his knuckles. “And?”

“It wasn’t the best move in the world, from either of our perspectives. There was a doorman standing about ten paces away. He hauled both of us up, was about to slap me in handcuffs, when one of my friends decided to step in. Back then I still had my title on my driving license, which I was using as ID. The guy—the doorman, I mean—took one look at the ID and decided he was going to call the police and get the other drunk idiot charged with attempted assassination of a member of the royal family.”

George snorted, then dissolved into giggles. “Oh my God.”

“Don’t laugh. It was a right mess, trying to get all of that untangled. And since then, I decided I don’t want it on anything.”

“But you’re still a prince, right?”

“Yeah.”

“So,” George said, rolling onto his belly, ending up half on Alex, half off him, “if we got married, what would that make me?”

His tone was light, teasing, but Alex’s face fell.

“You wouldn’t get a title. I’d probably lose one.”

“What do you mean?”

Alex sighed a long, weary sigh. “There’s no line of succession set out in the Dutch constitution that deals with same-sex marriage. I wouldn’t be able to give you my equivalent, like when my mum married my dad and became a princess. I might have to step away from my family and renounce the whole ‘prince’ thing entirely in order to get married.”

“That… sucks.”

“Yeah.” Alex leaned in and kissed George lightly on the mouth. “Doesn’t matter, though.”

“It should.”

“Why? It’s not something I want.”

“No, but it’s part of your heritage. Part of who you are.”

Alex shrugged. “We’ll burn that bridge when we come to it.”

“Don’t you mean cross it?”

“To be honest, I’m more likely to end up burning it.”

George laughed and put his head back down on Alex’s chest. “This feels like a serious conversation.”

Alex
humm
’d in response. “Hey, George?”

“What?”

“Do you want a boyfriend?”

From this angle, he knew Alex couldn’t see his face, so he let the grin spread. “I haven’t had a boyfriend before. You should know that.”

“Okay….”

“We are talking about you, right? Not some other guy you’re planning on setting me up with?”

Alex laughed and pushed George onto his back, straddling his waist so they were nose-to-nose.

“Yes, me, you idiot.”

“Oh. Okay, then.”

“I hate you,” Alex chuckled, shaking his head. He leaned in and pressed their lips together, slowly at first, then taking more.

The dull ache in George’s balls gave a fresh throb. He hadn’t gotten himself off when he was sucking Alex, preferring to wait until round two. Knowing how things between them often went, he was fairly confident of round two.

“What?”

George brushed his lips back and forth over Alex’s neck, thinking loudly. “Nothing,” he said.

Alex pulled away and propped himself up on his arms so he could look down at George. “No, tell me.”

For a few moments, George looked up, memorizing Alex’s face. His full, soft lips. The angles of his cheekbones. The deep, intense blue of his eyes.

“I want you to fuck me.”

The perfectly arched eyebrows rose sharply. “Do you, now,” Alex said as his features softened into amusement.

“Yeah. I’ve been thinking about it, and… yeah.”

George ran his palms over Alex’s back, up and down, over his shoulders, skipped his fingers along his hairline, then all the way down to the curve of his butt. The muscles in his back were familiar now, the bump of the birthmark on his ribs, the soft hairs at the crease of his thigh. George knew this, now.

Alex leaned in and kissed him softly.

“If we do this,” he murmured. “If
I
do this, you know there’s no going back, right? You can’t undo me. I’ll always be that guy who was your first time.”

“I know.”

Alex looked at him hard for a moment, then leaned down and kissed George on the mouth. Just once.

“Okay. Now?”

George nodded. “Please. Before I lose my nerve.”

When Alex chuckled, George felt it in his belly. He was already breathing hard, his erection flickering between perking up in interest and wilting slowly in terror.

“I’m still going to take my time with you,” Alex said as he leaned in, pressing their chests together and kissing from one of George’s shoulders to the other. “You can’t rush this, you know. I need to make it good for you.”

“Oh God,” George said.

TEN
minutes later, two of Alex’s fingers had been slowly worked into his ass and the whole area
down there
was almost uncomfortably slippery with lube. George never used this much lube when he fucked Alex, and the part of his brain he couldn’t control wondered if he was doing it wrong somehow.

“Fuck,” George groaned, the word stretched out over long seconds as Alex crooked his fingers and slowly, skillfully rubbed George’s prostate.

“God, the noises you make,” Alex muttered, his face pressed into George’s thigh. He bit it too, for good measure.

“Suck me. For fuck’s sake, Alex.”

Alex’s grin was wicked, and he made sure George saw it before he sucked the head of George’s cock into his mouth. His tongue flickered over the head of George’s cock, where he was most sensitive, and George groaned again.

Even with the weird, uncomfortable feeling of two fingers shoved in his asshole, the blow job felt insanely good, and George wanted nothing more than to just buck into Alex’s mouth and come hard.

The rush of cool air when Alex pulled off was another small thrill.

“You ready?” Alex asked.

Very carefully, George extracted his fingers from the tangle of Alex’s hair. “Yeah.”

Alex grinned and reached for a condom, then smoothed it down his cock before settling back between George’s thighs.

“I’m going to go slow, okay? Let me know if you want me to stop or move or whatever.”

“Yeah.” George tugged on his cock and licked his bottom lip. Alex’s calm, no-nonsense expression fell away and the dark haze of lust George had been hoping for crossed his features.

“Fuck,” Alex growled and grabbed George’s knees, pushing them back toward his chest.

George stretched his arms over his head and grabbed hold of handfuls of pillow. He kept his eyes firmly focused on Alex, even though Alex seemed far more preoccupied in figuring out how they were going to fit together.

When the head of Alex’s cock pressed against his hole, George jolted, then forced himself to relax. He took a deep breath, watching Alex watching him back.

“Okay?” Alex murmured.

George didn’t say anything. Alex’s perfect, straight white teeth bit down on his own lower lip, and without preamble he pushed another inch inside.

“Oh fuck,” George groaned, his back arching off the bed.

Instead of thrusting hard, like George had expected him to, Alex moved slowly, tiny movements back and forth, letting George’s body get used to the new sensation. He lay down on top of George, sharing a handful of tiny kisses, the familiarity achingly welcome.

George curled his fingers around Alex’s strong shoulders and held on.

“Hey,” he murmured.

“What?”

“I want….”

Alex licked his throat, and George shuddered. “What do you want, baby?”

“I want you to finish in me.”

“Huh?”

“Even if I don’t come. I want you to come in me.”

“I…. George, I’ve got a condom on.”

“I know. Please?”

Alex fitted their mouths back together, and the kiss was slow. Deep. George shuddered. Alex was still rocking his hips back and forth, the same two inches or so moving in and out, in and out. George pulled one of his legs up and wrapped it around Alex’s waist.

“Go deeper,” he said. “All the way.”

“Fuck, George,” Alex groaned. He pressed his face against George’s neck, grabbed his knee, and the next time he rocked in, he kept going.

George felt like his lungs were on fire. His fingers curled into fists, and he turned his face away from Alex’s, desperately hoping that the next noise to come out of his throat wasn’t a sob or a scream.

“This is me,” Alex said, his voice low, raw, quiet. Lost. “This is me.”

George wrapped his arms back around Alex’s shoulders and held on. He wasn’t prepared for this rush of emotion, all these fucking
feelings
, Jesus. He was getting ass-fucked for the first time, not giving his precious flower to his fucking Prince Charming.

The thought made him laugh.

“What?” Alex asked.

“You’re my Prince Charming.”

“Fuck off,” Alex laughed. His body slowed, then stopped, and he brushed his lips over George’s. “Is this okay? Am I hurting you?”

“I’m okay. It’s not painful. Just… intense.”

Alex nodded, apparently understanding.

Even though he was balls deep inside George’s body, Alex still seemed reluctant to lose control. George flexed around him, and his fingers twitched, stealing into that messy blond hair.

“Alex, if you don’t fuck me in a minute, I’m going to turn you over and fuck
you
.”
