Everyone cheers and some are in tears. I know I am. Everything is so surreal. Once we finish eating the DJ comes out and plays the song for our first song.
They play
I Could Not Ask For More
by Edwin Mccain. It is not a song I would have picked but Aiden was so determined to have it. He said that this song explains everything and says everything from his heart. Once I heard the lyrics I understood. The song plays and we are slow dancing, looking in each other’s eyes. He starts to sing the song, well he whispers it anyways. And my heart expands even more.
Looking in your eyes,
Seeing all I need.
Everything you are,
Is everything to
me.
These are the moments,
I know heaven must exist.
These are the moments,
I know all I need is this.
I have all I've waited for,
And I could not ask for more.
I can see flashes from the camera going off. Knowing our most intimate and precious moment is being captured makes my heart flutter. Everything in the past that led to this moment was worth it. I
have my true love and I have my daughter. Everything else doesn’t matter. My heart is where it belongs.
They play another slow song and everyone comes onto the dance floor and dances with their loved ones. I glance over and notice that Larissa is with someone but she’s not really into it. I notice her staring and I follow her stare and see that she is looking at Drew. Drew is also looking at her.
“
Aiden do you see that?”
“
What?”
“
Turn your head and look at Larissa and Drew.”
He turns around and looks.
“
Yeah there’s something going on there. Either that or they like each other.”
“
I think it’s more than like.”
“
Oh well, I guess we’ll find out sooner or later.”
We focus on ourselves now and start dancing and he starts telling me how much he loves me. I haven’t told him my little secret yet. What better time to tell him than our wedding day.
I grab a hold of his hand and place it on my abdomen.
“
Are you ready?”
His eyes get wide.
“
Really?”
“
I just found out yesterday.”
He kisses me tenderly then leans over to embrace me as he whispers in my ear.
“
I can’t wait to meet our newest member. I love you so much, to the moon and back.”
“
I love you, too,” I say as we dance the night away.
