Hours later as
Alexis and her friends were leaving the step show, her phone rang. She had been
on pins and needles all evening waiting on Amir to call, and when her phone
still hadn’t rung by eight o’clock that night, she didn’t know who she was more
upset at: him for not calling or herself for being  disappointed when he
didn’t.
       Lexie let the phone ring about three times
before answering it. Trying to sound calm and unconcerned, she took a deep
breath. “Hello?”
       “Alexis?”
       She hesitated as if not recognizing the
voice, but on the inside, she was quivering like jelly. "Yes?"
       “Hi, it’s Amir.” Lexie still remained
silent. “We met earlier today…at your hotel." When she still seemed
clueless, Amir impatiently forced the next sentence out through clenched
teeth.  "In the hallway. Outside your door...??”
     “Ohhhh, okay. I remember now. How are you?”
       Amir heard the subtle, biting sarcasm and
chuckled when he realized she was a little perturbed. “I’m fine. Sorry it took
so long to call, but you know how crazy this event can be.”
       “No, actually I don’t. This is the first
time I’ve ever been to Freak Week.”
       “Are you serious? Well, I’d love it if
you’d let me make your first time special.”
       Alexis quickly inhaled. “Excuse me?”
       “Your first time here. At Freak Week.”
       Alexis released the breath she'd been
holding. "Oh."
       Amir laughed softly. “Why. What did you
think I meant?”
       “Nothing…”
       “Where are you?” he said, still in the
same soft voice. “I miss you.”
       Alexis laughed. “You don’t know me. How
could you miss me?” He was so full of shit.
       Amir laughed with her. “Let’s just say
I’ve never run up ten flights of stairs to try and meet a woman. As much as I’m
enjoying talking to you on the phone, I would love to be looking at your pretty
face right now.”
       Alexis blushed and told him their
location.
       “Good. Stay right there, I know exactly
where you are. I’ll be there in five minutes.”
       After Alexis hung up, her girlfriends
called out to her. “Are you ready, Lex? Come on girl, let’s go.”
       “Uh, you guys go on. I’ll catch up with
you later. I’m meeting someone here.” They didn't move and waited on her to
elaborate. She should’ve known they would demand details.
       “Hold up. Just who are you meeting?” Shay
asked.
       “A friend.” She met Mia’s eyes, begging for
help. After all, she had pushed up this whole thing.
       “Alright, my roomie is a grown ass woman
and does not have to answer to any of us.”
       Shay looked from Mia to Alexis. “Alright,
you bitches trying to hide something. I’m not moving from this spot until one
of you tell me what’s going on. So once again, Alexis Duvall: who are you
meeting?”
       “She’s meeting me.” The deep voice behind
them caused the women to quickly turn around. When they saw Amir, they were
speechless. Shay looked at Alexis and pointed to Amir. Alexis bit her lip and
nodded.
       “Well, damn.” Shay said, looking Amir up
and down. “Enough said. Come on ladies, let’s go. Alexis…have fun.”
    Alexis was so nervous. She'd never, ever done anything like
this in her life and was beginning to think it was a bad idea. But then, Amir
smiled and she melted. He wordlessly held out his hand, and after a slight
hesitation, she took it and held on tight.
       “You okay with this?”  Amir asked.
       Lexie nodded. “Yes.”
       “Good. Come on. Let me show you what Freak
Week is all about.”
       F
rom that point
on, they were inseparable for the rest of the night. Alexis had so much fun,
and although she’d just met Amir, she felt safe with him. Amir admitted to
himself that the idea of sleeping with Alexis had been heavy on his mind when
he’d overheard the conversation about her being a virgin, but he was actually
having a great time.
        Staring at her now, Amir slowly
leaned down to kiss her. Alexis trembled at the contact When their lips
separated, her eyes stayed closed as she savored the feeling. Amir went in for
another kiss and moaned when her tongue tentatively reached out for his.
       “Do you want to get out of here?”
       “Yes.” Alexis' voice was soft but sure.
       Amir smiled before taking her hand and
leading her to his hotel room.

 
     Once there, Alexis followed him inside, but then
hesitated.
       “What’s wrong?” Amir knew this was her first
time and he tensed, waiting to see if she’d changed her mind.
       “Are you sure no one’s coming back here?
Your roommates, or...”
       Relieved that this was her only concern,
Amir smiled and pulled her further into the room. He and Soul had been rooming
together, but Soul had decided to meet up with Sharon and wasn’t coming back
tonight. “I’m sure. I have the room to myself. Do you want something to drink,
or…”
       Alexis shook her head.
       Amir studied her closely, thinking again
how pretty she was. “You can change your mind if you want. You don’t have to
stay.” At this point, it would almost kill him to let her leave, but he didn’t
want her to do anything she wasn’t comfortable with.
       Hearing the concern in his voice sealed
the deal for Alexis. “No. I want to stay.”

Chapter 6

      Wanting her with an urgency he
couldn't explain, Amir claimed her lips again. This time, the kiss was hungry
and demanding. His tongue swept around her mouth, tasting a hint of the candy
apple they'd shared earlier.

     “You are so sweet, you know that?” he
mumbled, gently biting her lip.
    Alexis kissed him back just as eagerly and wrapped her arms
around his neck as he pulled her back towards the bed. Amir sat down and pulled
Alexis between his legs. When he raised the bottom of her shirt and buried his
face in her soft stomach, she trembled. Alexis rubbed the back of his head and
looked down at him through half closed eyes.
     Before she knew it, her t-shirt was off and her bra
expertly unsnapped. Alexis gasped as his two large hands reached up and

     “Does it feel like I need to wait awhile?” His voice
held a touch of arrogance. Alexis shook her head.

     Amir laughed softly as he pulled out of
her. “Gimme a second.”
     When he grabbed another condom and went to pull the
used one off he froze.

     “What’s wrong?” Alexis asked.
     “Nothing.”
     Amir turned away and sheathed his length with a new
one, inspecting it closely. Satisfied, he laid on his back and settled her on
top of him. “Now. Let’s see how many more times we can make you enjoy yourself.”

     Alexis and Amir sexed all night. He was the teacher,

     Finally they fell into an exhausted sleep and didn’t
wake up until they heard a loud banging  and yelling at the door. Amir

     Amir watched her walk to the restroom and

     Amir glanced at the door of the bathroom
to make sure Alexis hadn’t come out. “Jay, will you shut the fuck up,” he
hissed. “Damn…”
     “Oh, my bad. This one special or something? Don’t tell
me the self-proclaimed pussy bandit catchin' feelings.” Jay’s comments drew
laughter from the other guys. They knew their boy was nowhere near feelin' a
girl like that. He used and discarded women quicker than anybody they knew.
     “Man, shut up.” Amir frowned. Jay played too got
damned much. He tried to close the door, but they held it open while continuing
to rag on him.
     “Must be some good pussy to have you whipped this
quick, bruh."

     Finally, Amir had enough of being the
butt of their jokes. He looked at the closed bathroom door again then smirked
at his friends. “Man fuck all ya’ll, ain’t no bitch ever gonna whip me. This
was unchartered territory, though, I went where no man has gone before if you
know what I mean.” He regretted the words as soon as they passed his lips.
     “What?! You got a
virgin
?? You lucky
muthafucka!” Jay screamed.
     “Look, will ya’ll get the fuck outta here now??” Amir
slammed the door in their faces.
     But on the other side of the bathroom door, Alexis
heard every word they said. Even though the whole purpose of last night had
been to lose her virginity, she had to admit, she'd really enjoyed being with
Amir. Not only the sex, but the person…or the person she thought he was. How
naive she was to believe him when he said he felt the same way and wanted to
keep in touch.

Alexis wiped hurt tears away
which threatened to fall from her lashes. She had to get out of there.
     “Lex…? Baby…? You haven’t fallen in have you,” Amir
called out with a laugh.
     Alexis nibbled on her fingernail.

     “Baby, I don’t mean to rush you, but I kind of have to
use the bathroom.”
     Alexis closed her eyes in relief. She quickly opened
the door, keeping her expression devoid of how she really felt. Amir smiled and
smacked her butt when he walked past her to get to the bathroom.
     “You better be ready, because we not leavin’ this room
all day.” His look was meaningful and intense.
     Alexis kept the shaky smile on her face until he
closed the door then quickly sprang into action, pulling her shorts and t-shirt
on. Grabbing her lacy panties and bra in her hand, she made sure she had her
keys and cell phone before dashing out the door. She didn't dare take a breath
until she made it downstairs. Luckily, her hotel wasn’t far from his. Alexis
ran and didn’t stop, praying that her friends were out. She didn’t feel like
facing all of the questions she knew they’d have for her.
     God must have taken pity on her because no one was in
the room. She grabbed her suitcase which was still unpacked and scribbled a
quick note and placed it in the corner of the mirror. She was hurrying towards
the door when her cell phone rang.

     Alexis panicked. Recognizing Amir’s
number, she hurriedly pulled on a pair of jeans and another t-shirt and rushed
out the room. By the time she hailed a cab and made it to the nearest bus
station, she was running on pure instinct. She blocked out all thoughts that
reminded her of  how stupid and foolish she’d been. On the ride home, dark
shades covered her eyes. She forced herself to think about finals and
graduation…anything to keep her mind off of the last twelve hours. She’d 
accomplished what she set out to do - lose her virginity. Now, she’d never have
to look at Amir's lying, deceitful, face again.
