Another season, come and gone. This
was an interesting story to write. Jack had found himself in a position where
he believed he was ready to retire. The job and the life and the events of the
past six or seven months had worn him down considerably. Of course, that phone
call asking for a favor caused him to put aside his plans for one more day.
By the end of this book, Jack, in
my mind, has come almost full circle to where he was prior to the events of Episode
1. There are a few exceptions, and an addition, of course. And this, I think,
sets us up for a wild ride with Mr. Noble over the course of the next few
books.
What's next?
Jack will appear again soon in
Never
Go Home
. I had originally planned for this to be a "flashback" or
prequel novel that takes place after the events of
A Deadly Distance
.
However, I'm planning to change a few details so that this book will take place
shortly after the end of Season Three. I believe that will work better on a few
levels.
The world needs more smart, deadly,
kick-ass heroines. Therefore, it only makes sense that Clarissa should star in
her own novel, due out this summer. The novel takes place immediately following
the events of Season Three. I plan for this to be the first in a series.
There are still plans to create a
series of novellas or novels featuring Bear and Mandy. Details to follow soon.
I'm almost finished with the first
Mitch Tanner novel, a thriller featuring a homicide detective. Look for that
one in June, 2013.
Finally, a big thank you to you the
reader. I hope you continue to find as much enjoyment reading this series as I
find in writing it. And if you have been enjoying these stories, tell a friend!
I rely on word of mouth from readers like you to help get my works into
additional hands and onto more kindles.
