According to this, the ambit of the Central Department of Internal Administration comprised the General Public Administration (subdepartments of Ecclesiastic Affairs and Surveying), the Municipal Administration, the Civil Service Code and Organization, Population Affairs and Welfare (including Jewish policy), Road Traffic, Health, Veterinary Medicine, and Public Works Service.
