“Who lives here Lakey?” I asked as he unlocked the door.

“My homey,” was all he said.

“Well your homey has it going on, this house is the shit,” I said in admiration.

I followed him into the dining room. And stopped dead in my tracks.

“SURPRISE! WELCOME HOME!” everyone yelled.

Tears instantly started to fall from my eyes. My eyes met with Mykell’s and no words needed to be said. I took off running and jumped into his arms. I kissed him passionately and let him know that whatever was said before was forgiven and I didn’t care at that point.

“I missed you so much,” I said after we finally broke the kiss.

“I missed you more,” he said.

“Umm is he the only one yo ass see? Damn,” Ramone said.

“Shut up, nigga,” I laughed.

“Welcome home, Ladybug,” he said as we hugged.

“Y’all acting like her ass just did fifteen years or something,” Micah joked.

“Don’t go there Mack Daddy, you know you missed me,” I laughed.

“MOMMY!” Romell, Tyriq and Amyricale yelled while running towards me.

“Hey babies, I missed y’all so much,” I cried while kissing them all over their faces.

“Don’t be a bad girl no more, mommy, okay?” Amyricale said.

“Alright, I won’t.”

“Where’s your brother?” I asked.

“You know I’m not too far behind,” MJ said, walking into the room.

“Hey handsome.” I smiled hugging my oldest son. That boy is his father’s son.

“Snook, I want you to meet somebody,” Lakey said, walking my way followed by a pretty female. “Snook, this is Daniella, Daniella this is Neicey.”

“Nice to finally meet you; you can call me LaLa. I’ve heard a lot about you,” she smiled.

“Don’t listen to anything he told you about me, I’m not that bad,” I laughed.

“Yea, right,” Lakey huffed and everyone laughed.

I looked around, seriously happy to be home. Even though I was only gone for a little over a month, it felt I was away from my family forever.

Micah

Janae must have thought that I’m some type of dumb nigga or something. Her phone stayed ringing at all times or the day and night but she acted like she didn’t wanna answer when I’m around. My daughter and son already told me that some nigga came by the house to see her, and ever since that day she has been acting all types of funny.

See, all that showing out and confrontation shit ain’t my style. I just sat back and waited for her to tell me what’s up, or wait for the shit to blow up. Either way, I chose to remain cool. Everybody’s having a good ass time and just sitting around laughing and Jana’s phone is ringing for what seems to be the hundredth time since we’d been here.

“I’ll be right back,” she said like she was irritated.

I looked over at Kell and he must have known something was up. We sent each other a silent message and he looked over at Mone and got his attention and nodded his head towards the basement door. That’s the type of relationship I had with lil bro, we could communicate without even opening our mouths.

As we headed towards the basement, Neicey stopped us dead in our tracks. “Where the hell y’all going?” she asked.

“Nowhere nosey ass,” I teased.

“Yea alright, let me find out,” she said with her eyebrow raised as she looked at Mykell.

“Ain’t nothing. I’m just showing them the setup I got going on in the basement,” Mykell said.

She just nodded her head and we took that as our cue to proceed. When we got to the basement, Kell led us to what looked like an office down there. As soon as we were behind closed doors, I spoke what was on my mind.

“Man, what the hell wrong with the females in this family?” I asked as I sat on the couch.

“Shit, not you too?” Mykell shook his head. “I just knew you and Janae would be the ones to not have problems.”

“Shit, I think she got some funny shit going on,” I said.

“How you figure?” Ramone asked.

“A couple of weeks back, Ranee told me that some man came by to see her mommy and ever since then, she been acting real funny. Somebody be calling her phone all damn day and night and she don’t never answer it in front of me. She’ll either let it ring or leave out the room to answer it; then she’ll talk low so I can’t hear what she saying.”

“Damn,” they both said simultaneously.

“So you think she cheating?” Mone asked.

“I can’t call it man.” I shook my head.

“I say the next time her phone ring in the middle of the night, yo ass answer it and see who it is,” Mykell said.

“I’m with Kell on this one. You’ll never know unless you find out for yourself.”

I shook my head. “I don’t know why I’m even talking to y’all niggas. Y’all have more relationship problems than anybody I know.” I laughed.

“This is true,” Mykell laughed. “But I’m the only one in this room that’s married so shut up,” he said, throwing a pen at me.

“I’m surprised. You and Ladybug fight like damn cats and dogs,” Mone laughed.

“Don’t they? I give it a week before she ready to take his damn head off again,” I agreed.

“What the fuck ever. See, what y’all don’t know is Neicey ass love that fighting shit because she know at the end of the night I’m not gone argue with her ass, Imma just blow her fuckin back out and tell her to shut the fuck up.” Mykell smirked.

“C’mon man. That’s still my baby sister. I don’t want to hear that shit,” Ramone said with his face turned up.

“Whatever dude. You’re just saying that because you’re not fucking our baby sister no more. She done kicked yo ass to the curb nigga,” I laughed.

“What the hell ever! Every time she kiss that nigga, he tasting my dick. I could have Lani whenever I want, but I chose to fall back and let her do her. Besides, I got me somebody I been kicking it with lately anyways.”

“Shit between her and that nigga Zamier is done and over with. But how does this ‘somebody’ feel about you being down here in Florida with the mother of your child?” Mykell asked.

“I’m not with her, I came by myself.”

“Nigga please,” I said.

“I’m serious, she actually wants me to send for her. She’s really set on meeting Neicey.”

“Who wanna meet me?” Neicey said, walking through the door scaring the shit out of us.

“When you enter the men headquarters, you knock. The hell wrong with you girl?” I joked.

She playfully rolled her eyes. “Anyways, what y’all talking about? Who wanna meet Neicey?” she asked, walking over to Mykell and sitting on his lap.

“A friend of mines,” Ramone said.

“Negative.” She shook her head. “I don’t like her.”

“How you don’t like her and don’t even know her?” he asked, mushing her head.

“Ain’t no bitches allowed in my house unless their names are Le’Lani, Janae and now Daniella; so whoever the trick is, tell her the queen of the castle said no.”

“You just don’t want to meet her because of Lani; that shit ain’t cool, Ladybug.”

“My loyalty lies with Lani, not a rebound bitch,” she said rolling her neck and I just shook my head. Her ass was a damn firecracker, always ready to go off.

“No, your loyalty is with me, your brother,” Ramone said.

“Whatever, anyways I just came down to say that me and the girls are taking the kids out for a little while so y’all can sit here and talk about nothing until we get back. Daddy and Pop-Pop are going somewhere too,” she said, getting up.

“You going dressed like that?” I asked, looking at her short shorts and tank top.

“Bye Micah!” she yelled walking out the door.

“I love that girl,” I laughed.

“Then you can take her ass home with you,” Mykell said shaking his head.

Mykell

Thank God I had my phone on silent, all day Toni’s crazy ass had been blowing up my damn phone. My wife wasn’t locked up anymore, so therefore she had no reason to contact me anymore. I think she has a damn death wish or something, if Neicey finds out, it’s a rap for her ass.
Hell, she might just kill my ass too.
I shook my head as I read a text message I received two minutes.

Toni: I don’t know how many times I have to tell you, I don’t like being ignored. I don’t give a damn if wifey is home. Call me back!

“Yo, this bitch is nuts!” I said.

“What bitch?” Micah asked.

“Toni,” I sighed.

“Who the fuck is Toni?”

“Neicey’s lawyer.”

Ramone whistled. “I know damn well you did not fuck her lawyer, Kell.”

“Shit, the way she sweating a nigga, I might as well have. She don’t understand what the fuck no means. She better be glad I don’t want Neicey thinking we had something going on or I would unleash her on that ass.”

Ramone got up and walked over to the bar. “I think you need a drink because you ass in some deep shit,” he laughed. “What kind words would you like me to say at your funeral? No doubt about it, Ladybug is definitely going to kill yo ass.”

“Man, I ain’t even fucked the bitch,” I huffed.

“C’mon Kell, you know that’s going to be hard to tell her when the bitch acting like you already laid the pipe down. You know the women in this family is crazy as hell and they stick together; so that means we all in some shit when Neicey find out,” Micah laughed.

“Shit, we just might have to find another lawyer because she’s going to kill both of y’all.” Mone shook his head.

Before I could even respond, I saw my phone lighting up again.
This bitch is cuckoo for cocoa puffs.

“What Toni!”

“Is that really how you answer your phone?” she chuckled.

“Why the fuck are you calling me? My wife is home now, so your services are no longer needed.”

“See
, now, that’s where you’re wrong. I did you a favor so you owe me one and I’m pretty sure you already know what I want, so don’t fucking play with me.”

I didn’t even finish listening to what her crazy ass had to say before I hung up. All eyes were on me when I got off the phone and the only thing I could do was shrug.

“Either you get rid of her ass or Neicey will do it for you,” Micah said.

“Forget all that, we have more important issues to discuss
,” I said.

“Like what?” Mone asked.

“Like why all of a sudden the police sniffing around some murders that happened, what, two years ago? The only people that knew about the shit is the family and I know y’all ain’t open y’all mouths, so that only leaves one person,” I said.

“Kamil
,” they said at the same time.
