“I’m just glad you called my cock big, baby,” he answered as he wiped it clean. “I’m with you. I used the juices from your pussy to fuck your sweet, sweet ass, and now it’s filled with my cum. All I was going to do is add my cum and juices covered cock back into your pussy. But sure, let’s take a time out.”

“And ruin the mood,” I sighed and started to pull away.

“And give me time to get my heart rate back to normal so I can please you longer,” Dean growled, wrapping his arm around my waist. I gasped as he leaned over me and licked my nipple. “Mood ruined?”

“Promise me that you’ll hold Jared down later while I clean him off with a Wet One before shoving it up his ass and I could get back into the mood for you.”

“Hey, I was just—”

“Deal!” He pushed inside my pussy and moaned.

“Oh fuck!” I screamed, the force of it straddling that line between pleasure and pain. Dean must have understood that.

“Wolf saliva heals so we’ll just both have to eat you out later if you’re tender,” Dean practically purred as he cupped my ass. “Or we’ll just say you are and do it anyways.”

“Okay,” I squeaked as he started moving me up and down his length. Jared kept playing with my tits as he kissed along my neck.

“So perfect.”

“So ours,” Dean growled. I snapped my gaze to his and saw his eyes change color and he must have seen my shock at his words. “We’re not pushing you to let us claim you. But you said this was a real relationship, Kate. And that makes you ours and us yours.”

“Okay, yeah,” I agreed as I panted. “You’re mine and I’m yours. That’s fair. This is real and no one else is allowed to have me and if you let anyone touch you, either of you, I’ll kill you both.”

“Good deal,” Jared moaned before sucking a bruise up on my neck. “All yours. We’re yours do to with as you please, Kate. Just tell us what you want, baby, and we’ll do it.”

I smiled at the idea, really liking it when he put it like that. They were mine and they wanted
nothing
but to please me and make me happy. A woman could get used to treatment like that.

“Do you want this, Alpha, my love?” Jared asked in a deep voice as he moved his fingers to my clit. “Or do you just want to get off from Dean taking you?”

“I love when you finger me,” I moaned, wanting all the attention they offered. Dean took me slightly faster as Jared worked his magic. I came seconds later, Dean following me right over.

When we were spent I practically melted against Jared, not having any strength or feeling in most of my body. “That was fucking awesome. You guys are sex gods.”

“We aim to please,” Jared purred as he pinched my nipple, sending an aftershock through my body.

“No more,” I whimpered. “I’m spent. You guys have to work up to sex marathons with me. I’ve been celibate for too many years to jump right into this.”

“We’ll suffer through it,” Dean chuckled as he leaned over and licked my other nipple. “We love that you’ve barely been touched. We’re going to show you how good it can be, Kate. We’ll try every and all of your deepest fantasies. There are toys we can explore, role playing, tying each other down, and all sorts of ways to keep things wild.”

“Personally I want you to tie me down and torture me,” Jared whispered in my ear. “There are things I’ve never tried that I want to explore with you, Kate. Whatever you want to do to me I’d let you.” I shivered at the intensity of his tone. Who would say no to such an offer?

“Floggers and handcuffs?” I teased as Dean pulled out of me. Both men moaned and I realized they like the idea. Interesting. But I had other things spinning around in my mind so I really just had to make a joke. I pulled away and quickly got redressed, forcing my mushy legs to work and not meeting either of their gazes.

“Kate, what’s wrong? Did you not want to do that?” Dean asked hesitantly as he tried to hug me.

“Yeah, it was fun,” I answered with a fake smile.

“Please don’t do that,” Jared growled as he grabbed my arm. “You can tell us anything. Please don’t lie to us. We can smell it for one.”

“It’s just too much,” I bitched as I pulled free and snapped my bra on before tugging down my long-sleeve shirt.

“What is? Both of us being with you?” Dean asked gently as he stepped in front of a pissed-off Jared.

“No, it’s just—” I cut off what I was saying and sighed. It didn’t really even make sense in my head. “Yesterday you guys were human to me. I had suspicions, but it didn’t matter to me. Today it’s like thrown up in my face and now I’m almost being slapped around with it.” I saw both their confused expressions and gave a frustrated yell. I wasn’t good at talking about this shit! “We’re boinking and you guys are calling me your Alpha. Now Jared smells when I’m fibbing.”

“So we’re not human enough for you?” I could see the hurt on Dean’s face and Jared looked destroyed.

“I’m
not
saying that. I’m just saying I’m reeling here. I feel like I can’t get my footing. Please, just give me a bit to digest this. I need to think.”

“Okay, Kate. Whatever you need,” Dean agreed with a sad smile. “We get it. It
is
a lot. We grew up with all of this. We can give you space.”

“Thank you,” I sighed in relief. I just needed to think without them hovering. “Let’s get these apples back and you guys can make a run to Sue’s house. I’m going to do some shooting at the targets set up out back.”

“If that’s what you want,” Jared said as he picked up one of the bushels. I felt bad because just the way he said it made it crystal clear it
wasn’t
what he wanted.

Chapter 13

I was done with my fifth target when I felt as if someone was watching me again like I had in the orchard. I had brushed it off earlier, not even giving it a second thought, because I’d been distracted, but twice didn’t happen for me. I sighed and took off my protective hearing and glanced around. “Come on out but I’m armed and obviously getting shot hasn’t screwed up my aim.”

“I see that,” a deep voice said from my left as he stepped out from behind a large tree. “I’m not armed. I just want to talk.”

“We can talk,” I agreed as I slid out my empty clip and reloaded. “But I’ll stay armed, thanks.”

“You’re a hard woman to get alone,” he replied carefully as he stepped closer with his hands held up in surrender. I gave him a funny look and then something hit me. He’d been watching me for a while probably. And that meant only one thing.

“But you got me alone once to shoot me.”

“I’m sorry about that,” he said quietly, shock on his face that I’d busted him before he schooled it. “Kyle tricked me and I’m not a man easily fooled. He had records showing you came into town and then your grandfather mysteriously passed away. I thought I was taking out a murderer that had the police in her back pocket. Kyle gave me a sob story about you taking away his only family and now his home.”

“What changed your mind?”

“Something felt off when I was watching you but it wasn’t the first time I’d been given a job that felt iffy,” he answered with a shrug. “I’m starting to realize that maybe I’m better at taking orders from people who can be trusted than trying to take jobs on my own.”

“Sniper? You had to have training to take that kind of shot.”

“Special forces, yeah. Can I put my hands down?”

“Yes, but keep them where I can see them,” I agreed, only lowering my gun slightly. “So you’re a killer for hire?”

“No, well, yes, I guess but I just got out. Someone told me that a guy was looking for a shooter to avenge his father and I thought, why not? I’d killed enough people for the military. Why not help someone who couldn’t help themselves and right a wrong?”

“You’re lost,” I whispered as I eyed him over again. I could see it in his eyes and the slump of his shoulders.

“Don’t feel sorry for me,” he said firmly as his eyes filled with grief. “I shot you.”

“And I’m fine. But why come to me?”

“Because Kyle’s getting impatient since you got out of the hospital. He wants me to try again and I’ve been stalling so I could study you. No one who was a murderer of her own parent would have such loyal friends and men in her life. I wanted to know more but if I take much more time he’ll hire someone else. I didn’t want to see you get hurt.”

“Would you come forward and tell the authorities all of this?” I holstered my gun.

He looked pained at the idea and winced. “I can’t do prison. I wouldn’t survive it. I’m like your men. I can’t stay in a cage.”

“What do you mean
like
them?” I asked carefully.

“I smelled that they’re wolves. I’m sure they’ve smelled a strange wolf around and have been freaking out. Even extra needy with you since I’m pretty sure you’re unclaimed. I’m guessing you’re an Alpha Bitch?”

“I just found all this out today so let’s stick with one issue at a time.” I pulled out my phone and hit the button to connect to the Sheriff. “Let’s see if we can figure out a way around this that doesn’t involve prison.”

“Why do that for me?”

“Sheriff’s office,” someone said on the other end. I held up a finger to the mystery man and focused on the call.

“I need Sheriff Swick, please. This is Kate Boyle.”

“Hang on, Ms. Boyle, I’ll get him.”

“To answer your question, I know how it is to be lost after getting out of the military. I’m not excusing what you did but you’re trying to make it right and that says a lot to me. Plus, I’d really like not to have to keep looking over my shoulder and put Kyle in the cage he deserves.”

“What’s up, Kate?” Swick asked as he got on the line.

Hypothetically
, if I knew who shot me and Kyle tricked him and he was willing to testify against Kyle and give us the proof, what would happen to said man?”

“You are never boring, girl,” he snickered and I could practically see him rolling his eyes over the phone. “
Hypothetically
, that man is a hitter and you aren’t the first person he’s taken a shot at.”

“What if he was? What if he just got out of the military and was lost and made a mistake? Is there any way we could clear his slate and get Kyle locked up at the same time? We have no case against Kyle without this guy’s help.”

“You believe his story?”

“Yeah, I really do, Sheriff. I’ve seen this look before with guys I’ve known that have gotten out and had a rough go while in service. I’m sure you know the look well. He thought he was taking out a murderer. Kyle told him I killed Gramp and had you in my back pocket so everyone looked the other way. He says there’s proof.”

“Okay, let me talk to the district attorney and see what he might want to do with our hypothetical friend.”

“And what do I do with him until you call me?”

“Shoot him,” Sheriff Swick growled. “It seems only fair to me.”

“You’re kidding,
right
?” I exclaimed, my eyes going wide as the mystery man just chuckled.

“Go ahead. I’ll have healed before he even gets here,” he mumbled.

Sheriff Swick must not have heard him because he gave me a different answer. “Yes, but that doesn’t mean I don’t think he deserves it. Duped by Kyle or not, he shot someone I care about. Just kick his ass and we’ll say he fell. You at least deserve to get that from him if he might not do time for shooting you.”

“I’m not really about revenge,” I drawled. “I want to be safe and not risk someone getting hurt trying to protect me. I just want this over.”

“You mean you don’t want Dean and Jared hurt,” he said gently and just like that it hit me like a ton of bricks.

“Yes. I’ve been holding back because I feel guilty they might get hurt because of me,” I whispered, shaking my head. I could be so dumb sometimes. Two gorgeous men were offering me
everything
and I loved them. What was I waiting for? “Just please make this work, Sheriff. I want it over.”

“Will do.” He hung up without saying good-bye again and this time I just chuckled.

I slipped my phone back in my pocket and eyed over mystery man. Yeah, I was done referring to him as that. “I could use a drink. You want one—” I hedged, letting him know to fill in the blank.

“Stacy, but I think I’ll wait to give you my last name until we hear from the Sheriff,” he said quietly. I nodded. I could deal with that. I waved him to follow me and headed back towards the house. “Umm, your men won’t like another wolf’s scent in your house.”

“They can deal with it.” I shrugged as I kept going, smiling when my shoulder didn’t hurt finally at the gesture. “I’m not going to change the way I do things because they might get a spur in their paws about it. And I’m not letting you out of my sight before we know what’s what. You’re my only lead and hope of ending this shit.”

“I’m sorry for my part in it. I really am,” Stacey said sadly.

“I believe you. So tell me more about yourself. You ever work private security?”

“No and to be honest, I’m not sure I could stand around and guard some prissy person with money,” he answered honestly. “I was a sniper. I can work well alone or with a team like I did when I was in special forces but I’d want to claw my eyes out if I was a bodyguard.”
