Prologue

Mason

I walked into my condo and took in the familiarity of the room. It wasn’t an overly large space. The foyer opened up into the off-white living room and to the left was a small kitchen. The beige couch had never been sat on and the dishes in the cabinets never used. It was the same condo where I took all my women. I never fucked where I slept, so I’d never take a woman to my house. I didn’t do relationships and I didn’t need any of the complications which came along with them.

Making my way into the living room, I leisurely walked over to the bar and placed my keys, wallet, and phone down. Then I set my suit jacket and tie on one of the barstools before turning to look out at the nighttime view of the city through the expanse of windows on one side of the room.

I could tell she hadn’t been here long because the smell of her still lingered. She had a distinct scent of oranges from the shampoo she used.

Turning around, I locked eyes on the door to the bedroom where I knew she laid waiting. I slowly walked into the room and looked toward the king-sized bed. She was lying in the middle with nothing on, just as instructed. She was such a beautiful sight with her hands above her head, legs spread, and a blindfold around her eyes, exactly how she was supposed to present herself.

I could see her chest rise in a rapid pace, indication she knew I was in there. She flexed and relaxed her hands as the anticipation built. I loved prolonging the anticipation. This was a game to me. My cock was rock-hard and I had a need of my own, but I liked to push my own limits. This wasn’t just about them getting satisfaction, a release, or the best orgasm of their life. This was about control. How I had the power to do as I pleased. It’s what I got off on. This was the one thing I had control over, and I drowned myself in it.

Standing at the foot of the bed, I looked over her body. Her small, plump tits rose and fell with her breaths, nipples standing at attention, and her shear thong was soaked against the lips of her pussy.

My body trembled as need and anticipation seeped through me. This was definitely what I’d needed after my long week. My mask was officially off. When I went into that room, I was the man I tried so hard to hide. But there was no hiding that man in there. I could never let the dominant part of myself go. It was burned into my core, a need which never goes away.

Everything I did in that room dealt with trust. Trust that I knew what I was doing. Trust that I’d know when to stop and that I would never betray my sexual partner. She was not allowed to talk while we were in the room. There was no need for conversation; we were there for one reason only. I’d tried having sex the way most people did, but it just wasn’t good enough for me. It lacked the dominance and control I needed.

Undressing quickly, I climbed onto the bed. I tapped her on the hip and she rolled onto her stomach before getting up on all fours. This was how I fucked. It eliminated any type of need to grab for me; I was the one in control and I wanted to keep it that way. It was easy with her because she’d never asked for explanations as to why I did things that way. If anyone started asking too many questions, our time together would come to an end. I had no desire to explain it, and I didn’t know if I could even if I tried.  If they didn’t like it, then I showed them to the door.

Positioning myself behind her, I pushed on her shoulders to lower them onto the bed so her ass was sticking up in the air. She moaned and wiggled in anticipation, so I gave her what she wanted. It felt so fucking good. I knew I was going deep in that position and it probably hurt her in some way, but every time she cried out it fueled my desire.

She quieted for only a moment before letting out a loud yell that turned into a moan as she came, causing me to tilt my head back and groan, releasing my own orgasm.

As I finally came down from my high, the grip I had on her hips loosened and I looked down to where I was holding her. Red marks splayed across her skin and I knew she’d end up with bruises in the morning. I’d taken her harder than I’d anticipated, but she knew to expect it.

I got off the bed and started to put my clothes back on. This was where most of the women got disappointed, but I didn’t cuddle or speak words of praise. It was the only way I did things.

As I was tucking my shirt into my pants, I looked down at her. She was curled into a ball and almost looked asleep.

“Stay as long as you like,” I said softly before walking out of the room to get my things. She would remain in the room until she heard the click from the door closing. Then she’d more than likely take a shower before leaving.

I never stayed.

I’d go home and wash it all away. I’d convince myself that I was doing nothing wrong, that it had nothing to do with my past. It never worked, but it never stopped me from continuing either.

The new school year was going to start soon. I didn’t need to work, but it distracted me from my own self-destruction.
My entire adult life is one big distraction
. It kept the memories locked away for a period of time but they always crept up to the surface again, causing me to be a man I vowed I’d never be.

But the saying goes, ‘the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree’.

Chapter 1

Mason

I held my keys out to the valet as I stepped onto the sidewalk into the cool night air. He smiled at me as he handed me a number slip and tried to take the keys from my grip. “Not one fucking scratch,” I demanded as I slowly let the keys fall into his waiting hand. I preferred not letting others touch my things, especially my cars, but there were times I didn’t necessarily have a choice.

The kid looked at me with wide eyes, shaking his head. “No, sir,” he quietly mumbled as he quickly turned from me to the driver’s side door.

I watched him slowly pull out onto the road and then turn around the corner before I finally walked toward the building and buttoned my suit jacket. Luke, my closest friend, had called me earlier in the day to invite me out for some drinks at a place called Costello’s. I wanted to tell him no. Saturday nights were usually reserved for my entertainment, but since I had no such plans for the evening I’d reluctantly agreed.

Luke and I grew up together in high society, where using the wrong kind of toilet paper to wipe your ass was considered a grave offense. Nothing about our childhoods was what one would consider normal. Our fathers were business partners in a law firm downtown, so our families were close. We went to the same private schools and saw each other almost every weekend.

I had learned at an early age that in the world I lived in, perception was everything. One gave people what they wanted to see, not the truth. You never shared your personal business. I’d been friends with Luke for a long time and even he didn’t know my deepest darkest secrets. No one did.

I walked up to the three-story building that housed what was said to be the best piano bar in the city. It was my notion not to believe anything people said, but I’d never taken the time to step foot inside its doors. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to; I just never had the time. Luke was the party boy, finding his way through almost every bar in the city. I was too busy building my career to check out the latest and hottest nightspots.

I bypassed the line of awaiting patrons and gave my name to the man standing with a reservation list, ignoring the wandering eyes of the women standing in line wearing next to nothing. They were highly predictable in thinking that if they came dressed like high-end hookers, someone with money would notice them. It was a complete turn-off for me. Most men didn’t want pussy handed to them. They wanted a challenge, and some even enjoyed the chase.

I loved everything about the chase. The challenge was what made my dick hard.

Making my way in the door, I walked through the first floor that housed the piano bar. I quickly made my way to the stairs that went to the second floor, containing the cocktail area.

There were more people gathered on that floor than the one below. The lights were dim and the music low and sensual, giving off a ‘come fuck me’ vibe. It was hard to see the faces around the room, so I walked further to get a better look for Luke. When I finally found him at the other end of the room, I took a step to head in that direction before I felt a hand on my bicep and heard a soft, feminine, “Shit”.

Snapping my head to the side, not liking anyone being in my personal space without permission, I saw a petite brunette barely hanging on to the tray of drinks she was holding up with one hand. I reached out and grabbed her waist, helping her from wobbling on what looked to be four-inch heels, causing some of the alcohol on the tray to spill out onto the arm of my suit jacket.

“Oh, my God. I’m so sorry, sir,” she said right before she looked up at me with wide hazel eyes. My gaze dropped down to her full cherry lips before looking over the entirety of her face. She was gorgeous, and she stared at me long enough to make my dick twitch.

Biting at her lip, she looked away in embarrassment as she stepped out of my reach.

I continued to look her over as she fixed the spilt drinks on her tray. She was the definition of what I found beautiful in a woman. She was petite and curvy, a perfect hourglass figure. Her tits were big enough to fill a man’s hand and she had perfect hips to grab onto while fucking. A man’s dream.

Images of what her naked body, blindfolded eyes, and pouty lips around my cock would look like flowed through my mind as I took a step closer, bringing her attention back to me. “Are you all right?” I asked.

She looked up with reddening cheeks and then quickly averted her eyes. “Y-yes. I lost my balance. I’m so sorry,” she apologized in a shaky voice. “Did I spill anything on you? Oh, God, I did, didn’t I?” She was rambling in a panicked tone, looking over my body.

I looked down at the arm of my suit jacket to see the beads of alcohol rolling off. “Really, it’s fine,” I reassured her. I grabbed a napkin that wasn’t already wet from her tray and wiped at my sleeve. Thanks to the stain-resistant suit, the liquid didn’t settle into the fabric. “See, no harm.” I smiled down at her.

I tossed the napkin on to her tray and looked over the spilled drinks. “It looks like you’ll need to get refills on those,” I said, pointing to the two drinks, which had spilled.

She looked to her tray, eyes wide, then looked back at me. “Yes.” She sighed. “Again, I’m so sorry,” she sputtered and then she turned and walked away.

I smirked and watched her with fascination as she hurriedly walked to the bar.  That wasn’t the reaction I was used to getting from women.

There’s always a first, Mason.

Making my way to Luke’s table, I held in the groan of frustration as I saw the other men in his company. I didn’t have a problem with Drew, the short stocky guy who wore glasses and had thinning brown hair. It was Steve, the guy sitting next to Drew, who I didn’t care for. He was tall, around six-two like me, but he had long, shaggy hair and looked like he was stuck in the fucking seventies. I couldn’t stand him and I had no idea how Luke could, either. He was an arrogant prick. The last time we’d all been together, I’d threatened to break his fucking nose. That was two years ago.

“Look who decided to join the party,” Luke said with a laugh, slapping me on the back after I unbuttoned my jacket and took a seat next to him on the couch. “How the hell have you been?”

I smiled at him. “I’ve been good. Just getting stuff ready for the year,” I answered, and then looked to the other men, sitting in chairs across from me, to give them a nod. “Drew, Steve.”

“Hey, man. Long time, no see.” Drew nodded back at me.

“I heard you’re a fucking professor now,” Steve blurted before chugging his beer.

I stared at him for a moment before replying. The guy had never worked a day in his life. He was what we’d call a trust-fund baby. We all were, but some of us took advantage of our situations to do something with our lives instead of fucking around and spending Daddy’s money. I couldn’t stand someone with a lack of ambition, but of course nobody knew why I was so ambitious. Some thought I wanted to be just like my father. Others thought I was just trying to outshine him. They didn’t have a goddamn clue.

I nodded. Instead of practicing law like most of my classmates, I’d decided to go into teaching. It didn’t take long to be hired on at NYU, a huge accomplishment for a thirty-year-old. “It’s my second year teaching at NYU,” I replied, looking past him at the waitress who had bumped into me earlier walking in our direction. If I was going to sit there with that asshole, I needed to have a few drinks to tolerate it.

Steve smiled as he leaned forward. “God, man, I’d love to be around all that young pussy. I bet it’s served to you on a fucking platter.”

A sly smirk spread on my lips as the waitress stood off to the side of Steve, holding a tray of drinks. Her eyes were focused on me, and I could see the blush creeping up her neck.

Any other time I would avoid making a comment to something Steve had said, but it gave me the perfect opportunity to play. “I definitely don’t have a problem getting laid,” I replied as I looked back to Steve.

The waitress set drinks down on the table and I watched as she tried her best not to look at me.

“I would have ordered for you, but I didn’t know when you were going to show up,” Luke explained as he grabbed his drink off the table.

“Can I get you something, sir?” she asked softly as she finally made eye contact with me.

She looked nervous as she stood there, gripping the tray she had tucked under her arm. Surely working in that kind of establishment she’d come across all kinds of conversations, but I couldn’t get over how innocent she looked. Since she had come closer to the light over our table, I could see the softness of her features. She looked way too innocent—sexy, but innocent. I knew what I was about to do would cause her to blush even more, but I couldn’t help myself. I wanted to see her reaction.

Adjusting myself on the couch, I placed my hand on my upper thigh. I knew with the way I was sitting, my legs slightly open and my light grey slacks being a little snug, there’d be the slightest outline of my dick for her to see.

As if on cue, her eyes drifted down to my hand and then immediately back up to meet my gaze before averting her eyes once again.  I could see her jaw moving as if she was biting the inside of her cheek, and I couldn’t help my grin. She had no idea the effect she was having on all the cocks at our table.

“I’ll have three fingers of scotch, princess.”

She looked at the hand on my thigh once more before meeting my eyes again with a nod. “I’ll get that right away, sir. I … if you need anything else, my name is Emma,” she stuttered, giving me a nervous smile before she walked off.

Luke laughed. “Shit, Mase. I think you scared the poor girl.”

They all chuckled. I shook my head with a smile as I watched her small frame walk to the bar. That was mild compared to what I wanted to do.

I looked toward Drew. “How are your wife and kids?” I asked, getting the topic off me.

Drew started to spill details of marriage with his wife Mandy. He seemed to be happy being tied down with a handful of kids. I was asked many times in the past when I’d finally settle down and have a family, but it wasn’t something I’d ever consider doing. I envied those who could take that leap and put their all into one relationship. I’d never met anyone who made me want to commit, but that was a good thing because there was too much in my life to take any sexual relationship I had to the next level.

Drew rattled on and Luke joined in on the conversation, giving me a chance to look toward the bar. Emma was standing there with two other women who were looking in my direction. They weren’t hiding their stares. I recognized them as the ones standing outside in line waiting to get in. The one with short, blonde hair smiled and then leaned in to whisper something into Emma’s ear. When she pulled back, Emma slowly turned her head to look in my direction, biting her bottom lip. She looked right at me, eyes wide, and then turned away quickly. Placing a hand on her cheek, she said something to the bartender as he placed some drinks on her tray. After he walked off, she grabbed her tray and whispered again to the women who were still looking in my direction. They nodded with a smile and Emma walked away with her tray.

I watched her as she delivered drinks, studying her every move. She was captivating. She rarely made eye contact with anyone, but held a smile on her face. It was as if she were using her smile as a mask. She was getting looks from every corner of the room and yet she didn’t acknowledge them at all, or maybe she just didn’t notice.

Resting my elbow on the arm of the couch, I rubbed at the stubble on my face. I liked the fact that she didn’t realize how beautiful she was. She was exactly the kind of woman I went after, the kind who fulfilled my craving. She was unsure of herself and tried to hide it with a smile, but I could see past it. I’d always been able to see past a façade because I also wore a mask every day.

In that moment, I got the urge to break her down. I would approach her and she’d eventually let me in. They always did.

She turned from her last customer and headed in my direction, my glass being the last on her tray. As she approached, she looked everywhere but directly at me. I smirked at her attempt to avoid eye contact.

When she got to the table, the guys quieted as she placed a napkin on the table before setting my glass on top. “Can I get you gentlemen anything else?” she asked.

“Nope, I think we’re good,” Luke answered as he looked around at everyone’s full drinks.

I leaned down and picked up my glass, taking a swig as I watched her tap nervously on the tray she held under her arm.

She nodded at Luke and smiled softly. “If you need anything, please just flag me down. I’ll check on you shortly,” she assured. She looked at me briefly before turning and walking back toward the bar.

The guys and I talked for another twenty minutes before I was ready to go. I wasn’t much of a social person, so it was rare I’d even go out. It all led back to me being self-contained. The more you talked to others on a personal level, the more questions they asked. It was why my weekends usually consisted of fucking. There was no talking while I was pounding my dick into a tight pussy, unless I commanded it.

I downed the last of my scotch and pulled my phone out to check the time. I had numerous missed texts, but noticed one from Rachel.

Rachel: Condo?

I debated on whether or not I should reply. She knew not to text me about meeting. The arrangement was on my terms. I did it that way so she wouldn’t get attached; plus, she’d just been to my condo three days prior. I limited our meets to twice a month, if that. If she was starting to get attached, I’d have to eliminate our time together.
