“No, it will freak him out royally. If you think he already has issues with you working there that will definitely make it worse. You said he knew your name?”

“Yeah Mr. H called me Ms. Hastings.”

Judy immediately cranked the truck and pulled out into the flowing traffic. Abbi sat back putting on her seatbelt, missing the figure of the man coming out onto the sidewalk looking up and down the street in an attempt to see where they had gone.

“I don’t know Abbi, that’s weird. Have you brought any of this up to Trent?”

“Yeah, you remember the World War III we had in his office that night a few weeks ago, I pressed him about it and why the guy knew my name. And he then accused me of snooping around.” Abbi’s stomach turned. She wanted to tell Ryan, if he knew she had been worrying over this and had never mentioned anything to him he would be pissed. “I have to tell Ryan. He has got to know.”

“Just give him minor details. Like that you went out and didn’t feel comfortable out by yourself and then I am sure he can have one of his guys keep an eye out for you.”

“Judy, you seriously think that I am the only one affected by this? What about you and Ashley?”

“What? No one has said anything to me about anything. Nor have I been approached by a creepy guy who knew who I was.” Judy glanced over towards Abbi.

“Let’s just head back home. I will talk to Ryan tonight.” Abbi said as Judy agreed and sped off into traffic.

*****

Ryan pulled up in front of the house at a quarter till five. He knew that Abbi must not be feeling well for her to have called out of work tonight. After all of her persistence about going in to work, it was unusual for her to call out, very unusual. He made his way into the house as the smell of seafood drifted through the air along with the flavors of garlic, butter and fresh herbs. He hung his keys up at the door as he made his way towards the kitchen. Hearing a pan drop, followed by murmured curse words he quickened his pace rushing towards the entrance.

“Trish, everything ok? You need some help?” He immediately swallowed his words as he took in the site of Abbi sucking on her newly burnt finger, chuckling at the sight of her disheveled looks.

“I wanted to cook you dinner.” She frowned as she shook her finger as if it would make the pain stop.

“Oh babe. You didn’t have to do that.” He set his briefcase on the counter and made his way to her picking her hand up to his mouth before sliding her finger into it and sucking on it, slowly, seductively. He could see her eyes flame as he pulled it from his mouth. “Better?”

“Much better, but I have another ache elsewhere that could use some attention too.” She smiled up at him as she slid her hands around his waist.

“Oh, really?” He leaned down kissing her, his hands traveling up into her hair gently tugging her head back as he slid his tongue into her mouth.

“Mmmm hmmm.” She moaned back against his lips.

Breaking away for a brief moment he glanced around the kitchen. “Where’s Trish?”

“Out, she was invited to dinner this evening with her gal pals, and I told her I would cover dinner.” She beamed up at him with pride.

“Why did you call out of work? Are you not feeling well?”

She glanced away from him, before looking back. “I’m fine. I just wanted to spend some time with you that’s all.”

“Well, how did I get this lucky?” He glanced at the oven, “How long before dinner?”

“About twenty minutes.”

She squealed as he lifted her up into his arms. He carried her into the dining room and laid her down on top of the large barn wood table. It was massive, large enough to sit sixteen people. His hands slid up her legs as she propped herself up onto her elbows. He reached up and slipped his tie off from his neck dropping it onto the floor, unbuttoned his top two buttons of his shirt and rolled up his sleeves.

“You’re so damn beautiful.” He said lifting one of her legs to his mouth, kissing from her knee up to her ankle. “I want to hear you scream my name when you come baby. This is going to be for your pleasure. For wanting. To be. Home with me.” His last sentence broken between kisses.

He pulled the bottom of her dress completely up around her waist as he slid her panties off depositing them onto the floor. He pushed the chair out of his way as he came up to the edge of the table. Reaching up he ran his hand through her hair, her face leaning into his touch. He lifted his hand up to her mouth.

“Open your mouth baby.”

She had a quizzical look in her eye, as she followed his directions.

“Now suck them.” He slid his index and middle finger into her mouth as she closed her lips around them and sucked. He slowly slid them out bringing his hand down between her thighs. He encouraged her legs open as his fingers found her opening. She was dripping wet for him already.

“Always so ready.”

He slid one finger into her as she moaned out. Slowly he slid it in and out of her before sliding the second in stretching her entrance around his two fingers. Reaching up he pulled the fabric of her top and bra down below her breast, causing it to perk up against her collar. He took her nipple between his index finger and thumb and gently rolled it back and forth flicking it and tugging as he fingered her pussy.

“Mmm, Ryan. I want you.”

“Oh you already have me baby. I just want you to enjoy this. Think of how good it feels, how good I make you feel. I want to make you so happy.”

“You do baby. You make me happy.” She grabbed the hand caressing her breast and brought it to her lips planting light kisses on it before taking his finger into her mouth and looking up at him.

His cock was almost ripping out of his pants he was so hard. He slid his fingers out of her and grabbed her hips, bringing her to the very edge of the table.

“Sit up straight and spread your legs wide baby.” He pulled her up kissing her. “I am going to have dessert before dinner.”

He knelt down at the edge of the table, watching as she spread her legs wide, before reaching down and spreading herself wide open with her hand. He loved that she wasn’t shy, she knew what she liked and she wasn’t afraid to tell him. He started at her entrance, running his tongue in circles around it, sliding his tongue in and out as she moaned out from above him. He could already see her body shrugging down from his touch. He licked his way up to her clit, teasing it as he sucked and licked. Slowly he slid one finger back inside of her. He could feel her legs shivering against the table as her free hand came down grasping the back of his head. She pulled gently at the short hairs on the back of his head. He continued the assault with his tongue; he needed this, needed it to survive. Screw food he could live off of her and her alone for the rest of his life. She was so damn sweet.

He looked up at her as his tongue flicked back and forth over her clit. Her eyes were rolled back as her head hung to the side. Her chest was heaving up and down from her deep steadying breaths. She was on the edge, and he was about to send her over. He quickened his pace, shaking his head from side to side as his tongue lashed out on her. She began to convulse as she grabbed the back of his hair, holding on to him with everything she had.

“Oh Ryan.” She moaned out.

“Scream it baby.” He breathed from between her legs.

She was on the edge and as he slid his finger deep inside of her she went spiraling off. Her body was shaking as she took deep gasps of breath. He wasn’t stopping until he heard her scream out for him. Her legs shook violently around him as she arched her back.

“Oh my. Shit! Ryan!” She yelled out towards the ceiling.

He smiled as he slowed, slowly licking her before kissing her clit and looking up at her.

“You’re trying to kill me aren’t you?” She smiled down at him.

“Not kill you, just ensure you stay around for a while.” He grinned up at her before standing.

“Oh, I can assure you that I am not going anywhere.”

“That’s the only thing I need baby.” He ran his hand through her hair before helping her off of the table.

She excused herself to the restroom as he made his way into the kitchen. Getting all the necessary items to set the table as the timer on the oven went off. He grabbed the pan from the oven and poured the delicious smelling mixture into a serving bowl. Opening the fridge he found a Caesar salad and a bottle of wine. He had the table set by the time she returned, pulling her chair out as she sat down.  He took the seat at the head of the table, only this time he would be eating actual food.

As they ate, he could tell that something was bothering Abbi. He wasn’t sure what was going on, but he could tell that there was something she needed to get off of her chest.

“Babe, is everything ok? You seem a little tense.”

“Ryan, we need to talk.”

His fork dropped into his plate. He stopped mid chew as he stared back at her; that statement never meant that something good was about to come next. His stomach turned, he had no idea what she was about to say. Was she leaving him, was she pregnant? Hell he would be thrilled to have a child with her, caught off guard maybe, but even that was something that he could handle. Not her leaving. It would break him into a thousand million pieces and he was pretty sure that they would never be put back together.

“Ok, what is it?” The words came out in a whisper.

“Something’s going on at work.” She stared down into her plate, pushing a piece of shrimp around.

There was tension turning in his gut again but for very different reasons this time. Had someone touched her at work? If that scumbag Trent had so much as breathed wrong in her direction he would have his head. He could feel the flames building, his face getting hot at the thought.

“Babe, what’s going on? Has someone hurt you? Touched you?” He could barely bring himself to say the words, shit they had just gotten over all the shit with Jeff. He had been prosecuted and was going to be spending time as someone’s bitch in prison for a few years.

Her head shot up to him looking him square in the eyes. “No, it’s nothing like that at all.”

“Well babe, you gotta throw a dog a bone here. I have had every thought from you leaving me to “Surprise it’s a boy!” going through my head over here.” He gave off an exasperated chuckle.

“What, no babe I would never leave you, and I am on birth control remember?” She eyed over at him, a slight grin on her face at his admission.

“Ok, then hit me. What is it?” He waited for her to speak. He didn’t want to push her. She obviously wanted to talk about it, but it apparently wasn’t the easiest topic.

“Something’s going on.” She looked at him seriously before going in depth about what had happened.

He sat quietly absorbing the information she was giving him. He wanted her to always feel like she could tell him anything and he didn’t want to fly off the handle because that would make her feel uncomfortable. However with each word she spoke, the anger inside of him built, almost to a breaking point. It was like steam rising and building in a tea kettle. Once it gets to a certain point it has to escape. He sat unmoving until she finished. Already determined that he was going to crush Trent and everything associated with him. But there was no way that he would let Abbi, Judy, or Ashley go down with him. Though, he knew Abbi had no part in the situation, he wasn’t sure what Judy and Ashley’s involvements were, but he would in time. This was a delicate situation. As much as he wanted to bring Trent’s world crashing down around him tonight, it would take a little time to pull the right strings to find out what was happening.

“Ok, what do you want to do baby? Do you want to keep working there? You know how I feel about that place. I really would love for you to find something else you like doing or stay home but I know you like working.”

“I do like working. I was so bored sitting here today, I almost asked Trish this morning if I could go to the grocery store with her but I didn’t want to intrude. Then I considered bringing you lunch at work, but I didn’t want to interrupt your meetings.” She looked back down her hands now folded in her lap.

“Babe, look at me.” He reached out offering his hand. “I am not mad at you, not at all.” She slipped her hand into his and he pulled her over into his lap. “I am glad you felt like you could tell me. I can’t say that I am very pleased with Trent putting you and the other girls in danger. He obviously has no concern for anyone other than himself. And you know that you can always come and see me at the office. I will rearrange any meeting I have to be able to have you come to see me.”

“How about if I keep working there, but only until I find something else.”

“Ok, if that’s what you want but I do have some stipulations.” He looked sternly up at her.

“Ok.”

“I want one of my agents with you at all times. I will make sure it’s someone you’re comfortable with, but you don’t leave the house without them or go to work without them.”

“Ok.” She paused briefly. “Can you ask Gabe to do it? I feel comfortable around him. He was never nosey or pushy when he hung out with me after the accident.”

“Ok babe, I will inform him tomorrow of his detail. For the time being I may have him stay in the staff quarters just to make sure he can be here at all times.” He skimmed over the top of her leg. “So that means you will want to make sure you’re decent before you walk around.” He chuckled. “I would hate to have to break his nose for looking at my woman in her panties.”

She smiled. There it was. That beautiful smile he loved so much. It made his heart melt. How in such a short time could someone come to mean so much to someone else? He knew no matter what, he would always take care of and protect her. This was his life blood, the one thing that mattered most in his life. It was hard to explain but as he held her there in his arms the thought of something happening to her made his heart break. Small fissures spread out in every direction, leaving behind it a large black gaping hole. If anything were to happen to her, there would be no recovering from it.

“Don’t worry about anything ok, I will look into it first thing in the morning. You have nothing to worry about. I promise.” He reassured her.
