Chapter 1

Two Years Ago

Juliana looked at herself in front of the mirror. She looked ravishing with her long dark hair cascading down her waist. Her fitted strapless red dress showed off her curvy form while she accented her long neck with a gold choker with a few precious stones here and there. She opted for a more natural look on her face but decided to keep her lips red. She painted her nails red as well. Tonight was a special night. A night of celebration. A night of seduction. She giggled at the thought. She couldn’t believe they'd been together for so long.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the chirping sound of her doorbell. She smiled, stood up and grabbed her purse. She sprayed herself with some perfume: Beautiful by Estee Lauder, which was her favorite and his present to her on her last birthday. With one last look at herself in front of the mirror, she left her room and ran to the front door. As she opened the door, all she could see were flowers – lilies and tulips of different colors. The arrangement looked different from the usual roses that women receive from their dates but she liked it.

“For you, beautiful...”

A voice emerged from the back of the bouquet. His voice was playful and it made her smile. He popped his head in on one side to show his face. He looked so handsome when he smiled like that. She inwardly sighed. This was the man she loved. The man she saw in the future.

The man whom she would like to be with forever. She could not help but smile back as she took the bouquet of flowers that he offered to her. She leaned forward to give him a kiss on the cheek. As soon as her lips touched his cheek, Juliana smelled his aftershave as well as his perfume. She smiled as she realized that he was wearing her favorite perfume, her present to him, Davidoff Cool Water. Michael took both of her hands and kissed them before placing one of her hands on one of his arms.

“Come. I have plans for us this night.”

“I can't wait!”
Juliana said.

There was a wicked glint in his eyes. Juliana was excited and happy that Michael was doing something good for them tonight. Apparently, his recent promotion had something to do with his current good mood and Juliana was willing to capitalize on that. Michael walked her to his car, which was parked in her driveway. He opened her car door for her and let her sit first before closing the door. He then walked to the driver's side of the car and sat. He turned on his engine and smoothly pulled out of the driveway to embark on their destination. He played their favorite songs while he drove. He enjoyed catching a glimpse of her singing along to the songs.

Juliana had a melodious voice that he adored. They were lucky that the traffic wasn't so bad. They arrived at a seafood restaurant called “The Beach House”, a place where Juliana said she wanted to go. Although he had been very busy lately because he was one of the candidates for promotion, he knew that he had to make up for so much time lost. In reality, he missed her and he knew she deserved more. Juliana's eyes widened when she saw where Michael was parking his car.

“No you didn't!”
She said, unbelieving.

“Yes, I did. You've been telling me about this place for a long time and I figured as your boyfriend, I should take you here.”
He teased.

Juliana opened her mouth to say something more but she couldn't. A huge grin was plastered on her face the whole time while Michael was parking the car. She did not expect this from him.

“This is how I'm making up for all the times we couldn't go out because I was too busy working.”
He said sincerely.

He turned off the engine after parking the car and looked at Juliana. She thanked him and gave him a quick peck on his lips but he reached out to hold her closer to kiss her longer. She didn't just look good, she smelled good as well. He couldn't wait to taste her again this night. God, it had been so long! He broke away from their kiss, leaving Juliana's eyes closed. He touched her lips before moving his hand

to lift her chin as he looked at her directly in the eyes.

“I can't wait to take you to bed tonight, love. How I've missed you so...but for now, let's hurry. We've got dinner to catch.”

Juliana blushed at his declaration. Michael winked at her, deepening her blush. She let him take her hand and assist her as she went out of the passenger seat. They walked to the front door of what looked like a huge Nipa Hut. Inside, it looked like a perfect place for a luau. The hostess welcomed them inside, but not before she hung a lei for each of them.

“Good evening. Welcome to The Beach House! Do you have a reservation?”

“Yes, we do. Under Jefferson. Michael Jefferson, please.”

As soon as their reservation was confirmed, they were directed to their table. Their table was near a window that overlooked the lake. The waters were serene under the starry night and the pale moonlight. Michael pulled and held the chair for her. He let her sit comfortably before sitting down on his seat across from hers. Suddenly, a waitress wearing a grass skirt and a floral type with matching lei on her hair arrived with two menus in her hand. She handed them a menu each and waited for them to choose their orders. Juliana already knew what she wanted even if this was her first time here.

She ordered a Shrimp Scampi pasta while Michael ordered some oysters and some Surf And Turf. For their drink, he ordered some Champagne to celebrate and some lava cake for dessert. The waitress repeated their orders, which she wrote in her tiny notebook and upon confirmation, excused herself to leave Michael and Juliana by themselves. Juliana felt strange. With Michael bringing her to a restaurant she had always told him about and him showing off his gentlemanly ways tonight, she was skeptical that this was all for them to celebrate his promotion.

She suddenly felt excited as she imagined him proposing to her tonight. She wanted to jump for joy in her seat but she knew she shouldn't show him that she was anticipating this too much. She did not want to look too eager in front of him. That would spoil the surprise and it would ruin her reaction later on.

“What are you thinking in that pretty head of yours?”
He asked as he looked at her.

“Nothing. I just thought it was awfully sweet of you to invite me here. I never thought you could be such a romantic.”
She teased, which made him laugh.

“Your words wound me, love. Am I that bad of a boyfriend?”

His expression looked pained, but she knew he was just messing with her. But before she could come up with something to say, their waitress, Fiona, suddenly arrived with their orders for tonight. They had a good meal. As they savored every last bite, they continued to drink their champagne. As soon as they'd had their fill, they finished off their dinner with something sweet. Juliana was so happy.

She wished she could have experienced this kind of thing often, but she knew Michael probably wouldn't be able to afford all this lavishness. She smiled at Michael as he called upon Fiona as they were about to bill out. He paid and escorted her back to his car. Juliana did not know what would happen next, but she was hopeful that there would be more surprises for her this night.

As soon as they were both inside the car, she itched to ask him what would come next, but she stopped herself and just let Michael lead the way. It was a quiet ride and only he knew their destination. From a distance, they saw bright lights. Juliana was not familiar with this place. As they drove inside, she saw more and more things that intrigued her. As soon as they reached the end, she found out that they were in a resort and that Michael had booked a room for them tonight.

She blushed as she imagined what would happen behind closed doors tonight. She was not exactly a virgin and this was not the first time they would be sleeping together, yet she was still very shy and very conservative about these things. They entered the resort to the front desk where a man named Tim confirmed Michael's reservation.

He gave him a key and winked at Juliana, which made her blush even more while Michael held her right hand and guided her to the elevator that would lead to their suite. As they waited for the elevator door to open, he felt tense; a mixture of nervousness and excitement filled him. He swallowed hard as his gaze drifted to Juliana. He knew he would lose control with her sooner or later.

“Michael, the doors are now open.”

Juliana interrupted his dark thoughts, which made him move. He walked to the elevator and she followed. Their hands were still linked. They waited to see if there would be other people who would join them, but nobody came. Once the elevator doors shut, he looked at her again. There was a hungry look in his eyes. She knew he was already full because they just ate.

They both knew he was hungry for something else. As he saw a bead of her sweat drip from near her ear down to her neck, he watched it intensely as if he wanted to have a taste of it. Juliana's breathing started to become shallow, her eyes at half mast and her face flustered. Michael moved in front of her as he continued to hold her right hand. He moved his other hand to hold hers. With a quick shove, her back felt cold against the surface of one of the elevator's walls. He raised both of her hands on both sides of her head and looked directly into her eyes. Desire was evident in his eyes. Juliana bit her bottom lip as she suppressed a whimper.

It was too soon. Michael took the action as an invitation for more. He closed the distance between them by dipping his head and taking her lips into his. His lips were a contrast of soft yet rough. The dried skin on his lips scraped against her plump soft lips. The heat emanating from their breaths, their bodies and the friction due to the rubbing had made both of them aroused. From a tentative kiss, Michael became savage.

His tender kiss became more aggressive, his teeth gnashed a bit with hers and even went as far as grazing her lips, drawing blood. As soon as the elevator signaled that they were already on their floor, Michael broke away from their kiss, leaving her knees weak and passion fired up. He let her hands go and bent down to carry her on his arms. She wanted to protest but she couldn't. She also felt like it would be useless. She wanted this. She wanted him.

Their suite was only three doors from the elevator, making it easy to get to. Michael did not let her down before opening the door. He only did so once the door was already open. Juliana's mouth dropped open as she saw the suite's interior. It was no penthouse or presidential suite but it was still spacious and beautiful at the same time. She saw a small sitting area with a soft couch or two, a small refrigerator, a bathroom with a bathtub and a room with a queen sized bed.

“Wow Michael! This room is beautiful.”
She said in awe.

“So is the person standing in front of me...”
He said as he looked at her with lust filled eyes.

Desire coursed through her veins as she saw him closing in on her. She was standing in front of the bed now, waiting for the hunter to pounce on his prey. Michael wrapped his arms around her waist as he kissed her like they had not broken away from each other at the elevator.

Juliana wrapped her arms around his warm body as they continued to kiss. His mouth coerced hers to open to welcome his tongue. She let him, opening her mouth to invite him. His tongue licked tentatively as if enticing her to try as well. As soon as he felt her licking the inside of his mouth, he wagged his tongue more aggressively as he tilted his face from one side to the other. She let him lead her. She mimicked what he did, which pleasured him. Soon, their tongues were battling inside their mouths, uncaring how the act made them look. Michael's hands moved to the zipper of her red dress, which clung to her like her second skin.

ZZZIIIIIPPPP!!!

As soon as he unzipped her dress, his hands found her back, caressing it. Juliana moaned as his fingers trailed down the small of her back from the lace of her bra. With each caress, she felt like his fingers left a hot trail on her skin making her want more. Michael broke away from their kiss while she waited for him to place her on the soft bed which was just inches away from them.

Yet he did not. They stood there as Michael moved inches away from her. She frowned at the loss of contact. She did not like being left hanging. He smiled as he looked at her from head to foot. Her dress still clung to her, still concealing parts which would make Michael keep on seducing her. She wondered what was going on.

“That dress is my undoing, Jules...”
He confessed.
