“I’m so sorry, Rafe. I have been awful towards you, please accept my apology? I can clearly see how much our Lucy means to you. I am so happy to see the man that you have become. Your mom and I always said that you and Lucy would find each other again one day. From a very young age you two would always find each other in the playground or at the beach. It was inevitable.”

“Your dad would have been so damn proud of you three boys. Ta
king care of each other and you’re mama.” I tighten my grip on Lucy, who is still sitting on my lap.

Lucy

The last few weeks since we have been back from our weekend in Vista have been a whirlwind. Rafe and I have fallen into our own routine; he splits his time between school, the garage, the band and me. It’s hard and taking it's toll on him. My time at the s
tore has been good. Milly and Mia were over the moon that I was now dating Rafe, they were getting to meet the band all the time and spending some quality time with them. They were even drafted in to help sell the band's merchandise, which was flying off the shelves.

It was one week to the big Phoenix Halloween party and me and my girls are going shopping today to get our costumes. I’m not one to get an over the top costume so I am just going to have to have a look or just use my imagination. I meet Trin and Kenzie outside my apartment building and we head into town to meet Maisey. It
’s still warm here so I decide to wear a navy summer dress with spaghetti straps with white wedge sandals. It’s going to be really hot trying different costumes on. I have left my hair down with two small strands pulled back and clipped at the back of my head, even though I have brought a hair tie with me.

I walk over to the girls, who are leaning against my car, chatting and looking at their phones.

“Morning, Coop. You ready to do some retail therapy and deck our sexy asses out in some hot Halloween costumes that will make our men bow at our feet?” She winks at me and jumps into my car and Trin and I follow suit.

“At least you two bitches have men who drool over you. Hey, do you think Rafe will let me bring a date to the party? I might ask Alex to come with me.” I hope she knows what she is doing, as both her and Beck have been avoiding each other since we got back from Vista. Rafe has said that Beck has been sleeping with a number of girls to try and get Trinity out of his head and has been a total dick to most girls as well. Whereas Trin has withdrawn from the boys, she won’t come to Max Point with us and if she thinks Beck will be there she refuses to come anywhere else with us. It hurts me that she is hurting; they are both stubborn dumbasses if you ask me.

We meet Maisey and spend the morning going from costume shop to costume shop but nothing is jumping out at me. Trinity is going as ‘Cat Woman’ with a tight black latex suit with incredibly high heeled latex boots. She even has the ears to go with the outfit. Kenzie is going as a pixie Lara Croft. She has black lace up boots that reach her knee, with black lycra shorts and a black sports bra type top. With an ammo belt and other gunnery accessories strapped to her thighs, she looks like one sexy badass. I was the last to choose my costume so I ended up stealing Maisey’s idea, but with my own style thrown in. Maisey is going as a ‘sexy devil girl.’ She will be wearing a tight red dress that fits snug to her body; it stops just below her ass cheeks. She has thigh high red leather boots with a killer heel and a tail and horns to match.

Now, I on the other hand, will be going as a ‘Cali Angel.’ I am wearing a white short top that has two straps that wrap around my midriff wit
h a white short jacket. I will be in a short white skirt and have also bought white strappy shoes with a more killer heel than Maisey's. I am still looking for the perfect white wings to wear and we stop for a bite to eat and a quick catch up. We order our food and get to the juicy gossip.

“So will you ask Rafe is I can bring Alex to the party?” I nod and search for my phone in my bag, and while the girls are chatting away I send a quick text to Rafe.

Me:
Hey, baby. Is it ok if Trin brings a date to the Halloween party?

I place my phone on the table next to my drink and join in the conversation with the girls.

“So, are we all getting ready at our place? We have bigger bathrooms so it might be easier. The car will pick us up at ours,” I say to the girls. Maisey agrees with a mouthful of cheese burger and we all laugh. My phone beeps with a text from Rafe.

Rafe:
Yeah, Snowflake. Who's she bringing? Beck won’t be pleased

Me:
She wants to bring Alex from work. He can’t say shit Rafe, he is screwing half of Cali

Rafe:
I know babe but you know what he gets like, I don’t want anything to ruin this party

Me:
Well have a word with him then, tell him to ‘nut up or shut up’

Rafe:
Nut up or shut up? WTF does that mean? LOL

Me:
Leah says it all the time, it’s a Welsh thing. It means he needs to ‘man up or leave her the hell alone. He can’t tell her that he doesn’t want her but no-one else can have her, its wrong babe.

Rafe:
Fair enough, I will have a word with him. How’s shopping going?

Me:
Shopping is all done, we all got our costumes and we r just sitting down for some lunch.

Rafe:
Please tell me you are wearing something sexy as fuck baby. Something I can take off really quick or it has easy access ;)

Me:
Hello #PervAlert You will have to wait until the party to see, baby. I will ring you later, my food is going cold while I chat to the sex god on my phone ;)

Rafe:

I laugh and place my phone back into my bag.

“Rafe said it’s fine to bring Alex, Trin. Happy now?” She smiles around a mouthful of chicken wrap and nods.

“The boys are going piss their pants when they see us on Saturday. It’s going to be epic chicas,” Kenzie speaks up. We finish our food and head back to a few more stores to look for wings for me. We walk out of yet another shop and bump into Dani and a few girls that I don’t know. All of them are carrying bags from a costume store we visited earlier this morning.

“Well, if it isn’t little Lucy Cooper and her skanky friends. You all out shopping for trashy Halloween costumes? Let me guess, Lucy will be Skank one, Trinity Skank two, Kenzie Skank three and whoever the hell this is can just be your Skank dog.” She smirks and folds her arms, which makes her boobs rise up. Fucking Wanna-Be-Barbie.

“Oh bitch, it’s fucking on.” Maisey steps forward and Dani steps back.

“Get a hold of your dog, Lucy. I don’t want to catch rabies.” She wrinkles her nose. Oh you dumb ass bitch. I let Monty go and she steps closer.

“Dani, Dani, Dani. Meet my roommate and one of my best friends, Maisey Montgomery. Maisey, honey, meet Dani, the bitch that Dallas cheated on me with.” Maisey stops in her tracks and turns towards me; she has murder all over her face. I nod at her and the most evil smile crosses her face. Maisey takes the drink from Trinity’s hand, takes a drink and then removes the lid. She smiles back at me once more before tossing the entire cup of Sprite all over Dani. Trinity, Kenzie and me burst out laughing. Maisey stands her ground.

“You deserved that, you fucking bitch. I hate girls who can’t get a man of their own so they steal everyone else’s. Do you know what you are? You are a fucking Wanna-Be-Barbie-Whore.” She looks back to us, “Let’s go girls, there is a god awful smell around here suddenly,” she wrinkles her nose and walks off. We all follow her when I hear Dani mutter to her friends,

“This isn’t over.” What the fuck does that mean?

Saturday arrives and it
’s the big Phoenix Halloween party. I wake up wrapped up in Rafe, sweating from the heat coming off his body. It doesn’t matter what position we go to bed in, we always end up with Rafe wrapped around me. I slip out of bed and go to the bathroom to pee. Once I wash my hands, I climb back into bed. “We are popping to the mall. Maisey, I will catch you later, Gunner, I will see you tonight at the party.” I kiss them both on the cheek and I pull Rafe out the door.

We walk around the mall looking for the store I need. Rafe has finished getting the things he needs so it’s just me. I can’t seem to find the right nail polish color I want. We pass a funky
jewellery store and Rafe pulls me towards the store. I see a cabinet with lots of amazing items that have the Peace sign on them, which I love. One item catches my eye. It’s a leather strap but the strap is braided and a white gold Peace sign meets in the middle. It’s so pretty.

“What are you looking at, baby?” I point to the bracelet and lean back into Rafe’s chest, his arms wrapped around my waist. “That’s pretty. Very you, Snowflake.” I smile and nod. He turns slightly and calls the assistant over. “Can we have the white leather Peace bracelet please?” I turn in Rafe’s arms and he kisses me before I can say anything.
