JAYDEN
I RUN THIS MOTHAFUCKA
Jayden was on her way to school against her will. That damn Mrs. Sheers! She thought to herself. Why can’t she just leave me the fuck alone? She chose to be elsewhere yet the social worker made several pop up visits at school to see if the girls were present.
Mrs. Sheers discovered quickly that although Jayden was making efforts, Madjesty had spit in the teacher’s face. And since she didn’t go home she declared her a runaway. Mrs. Sheers filed the necessary paperwork to find Madjesty as soon as possible.
Jayden was fucked up with her sister and ignored her calls. Madjesty called Jayden’s cell several times that morning, but she didn’t answer. When Jayden heard a message Mad left, she wasn’t surprised to hear that Jace kidnapped her although briefly, to advise her to once again stay away from Kali. Truthfully she wanted out of their beef altogether because she knew Mad would never listen.
Making money was still on Jayden’s mind along with getting through to the girls of Thirteen Flavors. After talking to Jace, she realized she had to throw major game to get the girls to follow her lead.
Once in the school building, Jayden rested against the lockers while waiting on the bell to ring. Foxie, Gucci, Na Na, Queen and to her surprise, Passion walked up to her. She hadn’t seen Passion since she walked out of the school arm and arm with Shaggy.
“What’s up, Jayden? You ain’t been accepting our calls since that shit happened with that dude.” Gucci said. “You got our money like you promised?”
After the dude ganked them for their cash, Jayden was held up in her room thinking and crying. It wasn’t until she realized that by being weak, she allowed Gucci to win, that she decided to stop feeling sorry for herself and do something about it. So things were going to change starting today.
“I got the money I owe ya’ll.” She dug in her purse and handed them all their cash. With wide eyes they counted the dough in front of her. Everyone except, Passion of course since she didn’t do any work to deserve to be paid. “It’s all there.”
“Thanks,” Gucci smiled slyly. “Now we’re talking.”
“We not talking about shit, Gucci. Because that’s gonna be the last
money you ever get from me. You cut.” The smile was wiped clean off of
Gucci’s face. “And so are you, Passion.”
“Wait, how you gonna cut us out of the group?” Gucci asked. “Let me remind you, the number to the business rings to my phone
and when my clients want pussy they call me. Plus I know you tried to start your own shit, Gucci. I heard about it.” She laughed. “One of my clients said you even reached out to him but he didn’t trust you. Notice the word trust.”
“I don’t know what you talking about.”
“This business is built on trust and these men need to feel that if they gonna fuck with us, otherwise they run the risk of getting locked up for fucking young bitches. You thought you were letting him see that you could provide a cheaper price when all you did was show him the snake you are.”
Gucci wasn’t as confident as she was when she first approached her. “Look, I made a mistake by coming at you like that. But I’m done being childish.”
“Good for you.” Jayden paused. “But I don’t want nothing else to do with you.”
Then she looked at Foxie. “I need you to handle Passion’s clients. I hired Xion for security and he’s going to go with us on the jobs we do. He has a gun and doesn’t mind busting if he has to. I talked to him already.”
“I can’t believe this shit. You’re talking in front of me like I’m not even here.” Passion said.
“So can you work Passion’s clients, Foxie?” Jayden said continuing to ignore her. “Or are you working with Gucci’s crew?”
Foxie looked at her friends and said, “Sorry, ya’ll but I need the money.”
“What about you two?”
“I’m with you.” Na Na said.
“Me too.” Added Queen.
“There are no more revolving doors. This is my last time asking where your loyalty lies.”
The girls remained silent but their eyes told her they knew she meant business. Because although she had a strange, obsessive, connection with Passion, the rest of them were replaceable.
Gucci couldn’t believe her ears. Jayden hadn’t been in school a full year and already she managed to pin them against one another.
“Jayden, I had shit going on with me.” Passion interrupted. “And I know I’m wrong as shit for letting these niggas get in my head. All they do is hurt my feelings and I’m sick of that. But I’m not gonna be that way no more. You gotta put me back on. I’m ready to work.”
“What, you not listening?” Jayden responded. “You cut. I’m done with you and I’m dead serious.”
“Bitch, you can’t cut us out of shit.” Gucci said stepping up to her. “We own this business just like you do.”
Jayden playing the defensive pushed her out of her face and she slammed into Toni. Jayden’s arched enemy.
“How come every time I see you, you in my fucking space?” Toni asked as she and her friends stepped to Jayden.
“Then maybe your world is smaller than you thought! While my world is continually growing around me.” Jayden said.
“Bitch, fuck that country shit you spitting. Stay the fuck out of my way.”
“Step the fuck off, Toni! We discussing some serious shit over here.” Passion said. “You five seconds from getting kicked out of school anyway. Your mouth too fucking fast.”
“Bitch, how you gonna talk about somebody’s mouth? When everybody in school know what you do with yours.”
“Yeah, but at least I’m gettin’ paid for it.”
They were just about to have a fight when they saw the school’s security guards. The girls went their separate ways to avoid getting suspended and Passion followed Jayden.
“Why are you following me?” Jayden said looking behind her to be sure the guards weren’t coming. “Your first class is the other way.”
“Jayden, can I talk to you alone?”
“No.” Jayden said walking faster. “So if you thought helping me back there would make me put you back on you got another thing coming.”
“But I need the money. Please.”
Jayden stopped in her tracks and looked into her eyes. “You don’t act like it.”
“Well I do.”
“Why should I trust you?”
“Because we’re friends.”
“We not friends anymore, Passion. You were right about that shit. I’m about my mothafuckin money and I’m tired of chasing you around.”
“Please, Jayden.”
Jayden looked her over harder. For the first time, she saw her. She was strung out. She was on drugs and in Jayden’s opinion that was disgusting. This was why she could never hold a promise or keep a job. Her mind wasn’t her own.
“What you using, Passion?”
“Huh?”
“I said what you on?”
“I do a little heroin from time to time. But it’s nothing serious.” Jayden was mad at first but then she thought about it. This addiction was exactly what she needed. She would supply her habit and keep her in line. And when she was washed up, she’d get another bitch. “If you fuck up this time that’s it, Passion. I’m serious.” Passion smiled and wrapped her arms around Jayden. “I’ll show you better than I can tell you. I really am ready to work.”
“What about Shaggy?”
“If you want me to leave him alone it’s done. He don’t spend money on girls no way.” She paused.
Jayden smirked. “He spent it on me.”
Feeling a little embarrassed she said, “Well, it don’t matter no more. As long as we’re back together I’m cool.”
“Just remember, you better not fuck up this time. Because the only way I’ll take you back after that will be on your knees.”
HARMONY
SIBLING RIVALRY
Ever since I came home to find my shit taken out of my room, me and my sisters had been at each other’s throats. It was like that movie,
War of the Roses
in this fucking house. Doors were off the hinges, holes were in walls and there was constant yelling at all hours of the night.
The police came several times to break shit up and although I told them the house belonged to me, they said because Ramona and Laura were here for over thirty days, based on Maryland law, they were now tenants. To get them out I had to go to the courthouse and have them evicted but my paperwork needed to be in order first. And because the transfer of this house to my name was in process, I didn’t have papers to prove shit.
I managed to get my room back when Ramona and Laura left one day to go to the grocers but being able to keep it meant I could hardly leave. And if I did, to get something like food, I’d have to do it when they weren’t home like now. That’s where Wokie’s young ass came in. He’d done everything I asked him for from bringing me food, to helping me get Ramona’s things out of my room. He turned out to be a good little errand boy after all.
When my phone rang I answered and was irritated immediately “Ms. Phillips?”
“Yes, Detective.”
“Do you have any information for me yet? We still are trying to solve your case you know?”
I thought about turning Madjesty over since she dropped out of school which resulted in my check getting cut in half, but I was hopeful that she’d come back.
“No. I don’t have any information for you.”
“Well I’ll be over there tomorrow to check on you.”
“Don’t waste your time. I don’t know shit because I ain’t see shit.”
CLICK.
I was about to go make a sandwich when I heard a door close. When I stepped into the hallway, I saw Jace coming out of Madjesty’s room. He was frowning and looked angry. “What were you doing in there?” “Looking for Jayden?”
“You in the wrong room aren’t you?”
“I guess.” His frown softened a little.
“I told you when you first came over that Jayden wasn’t home. She’s at the house she rents from that little boy. Why aren’t you over there?”
“It’s fine. I’ll catch up with her later I want to talk to you anyway.”
I walked back into my room and he followed me. “About what?”
“First off, what’s up with all these boxes and shit? This house use to be so neat and now it’s all over the place.”
“Irma died and my sisters are trying to take it from me. But I’m having none of it.” I flopped on the bed. “If they want to take this house, it’ll be over my cold bones.”
“You don’t even need all of this house. Let them have it.”
“You sound like a fool.”
“Life can never be normal for you can it? You always gotta keep shit going.”
“So much shit has happened in my life, Jace that I’m starting to believe this is normal. Some people have no drama in their lives and I have an abundance of it. That’s what makes me interesting.”
He shook his head. “I think you right.” He paused. “Anyway, I talked to Madjesty. She tell you?”
“No. She doesn’t talk to me about much of anything. Plus I think she ran away. I can’t control her.” I paused looking him over. After all these years, he was still so fucking sexy. I just wished he liked to fuck dirty like Kali. We could’ve had so much more fun together. “Anyway aren’t you asking about the wrong daughter? Jayden is your concern, not Madjesty.”
“There’s something going on. Ann is missing and I know Kali is involved. Especially now.” He said fiddling with something in his pocket.
“You should’ve killed him when you had the chance.”
“I could’ve, but then your daughter would’ve been hit too.”
“And?”
“How can you be so cold?”
“I don’t know that answer anymore.” I paused. “Anyway, you know if Ann’s missing Kali has her.” I continued drinking out of my vodka bottle. “But knowing her, she probably went with him on her own. I don’t trust her.”
“Stop talking stupid.”
“Okay.” I said. “Your funeral.”
“You all in my shit when you need to be worried about your daughters.”
“Just relax, Jace. Shit gonna be okay with both my girls.” I paused. “After all, look at how their mother turned out.” I laughed.
“You joking right?”
“I’m dead serious.” I smiled.
“You know what, you still remind me of the girl I loved when we were kids.” He paused. “Sometimes anyway.”
“That means you still got a crush on me.” I batted my lashes.
“I know if I find out you did Jayden fucked up as a kid I’ma bust your head open.”
“Leave it alone already. The girl’s breathing. Just admit that you still love me.” I said. “We could start all over. You could help me get my face fixed so I can look pretty again for you and I could get clean.”
“You serious? About getting cleaned?”
“Yes. I really am.” This was the first time I admitted that I wanted to be clean. So it shocked me too when I said it.
“I can put you in a rehabilitation place, only if you’re serious. But I could never be with you again.”
“Then it won’t be worth it.”
“You’ve always done that shit. Gave me ultimatums.”
“But you never take any of them.” I drank some more vodka. “You don’t realize that if you stayed by my side, none of this shit would’ve ever happened to me. And I wouldn’t be the woman that I am now. Sometimes all you need is a good man to hold you down. I never had that.”
“You know what,” he turned for the door. “I’m out of here. I’m trying to have a conversation with you and you not taking shit seriously.”
“Wait!” I yelled. “I’m sorry.”
“You being a burnt out alcoholic don’t have shit to do with me.”
“Tell me how you really feel.” I laughed.
“I’m serious, Harmony.”
He stopped at the door and I could feel him. He really does blame himself for what happened to me. “It’s not your fault, Jace. I was fucked up long before you ever got to me. Shirley and my uncle saw to that.”
He put his hands in his pockets but didn’t turn around. “What do you want from me, Harmony? Seriously?”
“Let’s fuck for old time sake.”
He turned around and laughed. “What makes you think I want anything to do with you? Or that pussy?”
“Because I bet money that any bitch you’re dealing with, can’t fuck you like I do.”
“You don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“I do.” I stood up and walked over to him. Then I closed the door behind him and locked it. “You still love me. After all these years. Like I still love you.”
He tried to step around me. “Move.” He was weak.
I dropped to my knees. Unzippened his pants and pulled out his already stiff dick. “Hey there, baby.” I said kissing the helmet softly. “I haven’t seen you in a while.”
Jace’s head flew back as I took him into my mouth. Holding his balls softly, I worked the shaft of his dick like only I could. My tongue ran over every inch of his dick and he couldn’t hold back from moaning. Leaning up against the door He savored every moment of my head game. I spit on his dick over and over to get it gooey wet. My spit ran down his legs as I suctioned his dick with my mouth.
“Fuck!” He said out loud. “This shit feels so good! I shouldn’t be fucking with you though. I know it.”
My pussy was getting wet and there was no way on earth that I was letting this hard dick go to waste. So I took off my pants and pulled him to the bed.
“I can’t fuck you, Harmony.” He was saying one thing but his dick was standing at attention.
“You can let me suck your dick but you can’t fuck me?” I laughed. “Yeah right. Get over here nigga.”
Before he knew it he was grabbing my waist and banging my pussy raw from the back. The way I liked it. I kept throwing my hips into him as he fucked me harder and harder. I had to admit; his fuck game had come up something spectacular since I last had the pleasure.
“I miss this dick so much,” I embellished.
“Damn, you still feel good.” He said.
We fucked long and hard for fifteen minutes before we fell out on the bed. He lay next to me like old times although he didn’t hold me. “I miss you, Jay.”
“You just saying that shit.”
“I really do.” I said. I could feel he wanted something from me. Could it be that he really did still love me after all this time?
“What you want, Harmony?” He said lying on his back. “Cut the shit. Whenever you fuck me like that you want something.”
“I need your help with my sisters. They trying to take my house from me, and if they do, I won’t have any place to live and your daughter will be out on the streets.”
He laughed. “I don’t give a fuck what happens to you, my daughter will never be out on no mothafuckin’ streets.”
“Well do it for me.”
He stood up, got dressed and walked to the door. “Your pussy still good, I’ll give you that, but after seeing how you treated those kids and how fucked up they are in the head, there ain’t shit you can do for me. I ain’t got nothing for you, man.”
He walked out but I knew I just needed a little more time and then I’d have him right where I wanted him. In my bed and under my spell.
