Outside

I could see the pinks of my eyelids but I couldn’t open my eyes fast enough. The noise. The noise was so loud it was drowning. When I finally popped my eyes open, I was in the driver seat of a truck, and my crew, was looking at me with wild eyes. I had fallen asleep behind the wheel of a truck and we were about to crash.

To prevent hitting a tractor-trailer, I whipped the wheel to my right, and we slammed into three cars sitting in the driveway of a house. The truck I was driving rolled up onto a small car and stopped. Smoke poured out of the engine and I looked at my crew. We were all gripping different parts of our bodies.

“What the fuck is going on?” Someone yelled coming out of the house.
“We gotta go, ya’ll!” I said holding my arm. The house owner looked mad.
“My shit hurts!” Wokie said holding his back.
“Fuck that, man lets roll!”
We got out of the car slow at first until the man yelled, “Wait! You gotta pay for my shit! I’m calling the cops.”
“Suck my dick, nigga!” I yelled.
When we finally got out we heard him say, “Sic, ‘em boys!”
When we looked behind us four pit bulls were running in our direction.
“Oh shit! We about to get bit!” Wokie yelled.
“Nigga, shut the fuck up and run!” I said.
On a straight up chase, the dogs were gaining on us quickly. We were out in the open and would need to put shit between us if we were going to survive.
“Dip behind that house!” I said pointing to my right.
We all ran behind the house, opened a wooden gate when, like a white bitch in a bad horror movie, Kid fell to the ground. One of the pit bulls got inside the gate, and bit him on the leg. The other dogs were barking on the other side trying to get in.
“Awwwww help!” Kid yelled.
We all stopped what we were doing and turned to help Kid. I heard about pits locking their jaws so I decided to see if that was true. I found a rake and hit the dog in the head with it. It cried and let him go. We all helped Kid off the ground and ran as fast as we could. I was on Kid’s right and Wokie was on his left as he hopped on one leg.
I couldn’t believe all of this was happening. The last thing I remembered was getting drunk on the train. How did we get here?
We didn’t stop running until we came into a small diner. I couldn’t read really well but was okay with some words. I eventually saw a sign and knew we were in Virginia. But I heard Virginia was so big that we could be miles away from home.
“Are you okay?” I asked Kid.
He lifted his pants leg and examined the bite. It was bloody and flesh hung everywhere. “Yeah. It hurts like shit though.”
“What the fuck happened?” I asked as everybody was trying to catch their breath. “I mean, I don’t remember none of the shit after the subway!
“I’ll tell you tomorrow. Now I just wanna get home.” Wokie said.
“Me too. This bite is killing me!” Kid said.
I was just about to suggest we flag a cab when my phone rang.
I pulled it out of my pocket and said, “Hello?”
“Madjesty, when are you coming home?”
I knew that voice and I hated it on the deepest levels. Why the fuck was this bitch calling me. “Who is this?”
“It’s your mother. Now it’s time to bring your ass home! We gotta talk.”

URSULA
TATTLE TELL

Ursula walked into Friendly High School with one mission…to tell. She learned from Nook that Harmony was being held hostage at Concord Manor, and now she decided to do something about it by talking to the school’s principal, Mrs. Crimply. Nook conveniently left out how he raped Harmony, but Ursula would not have cared either which way. Her mind was on Madjesty. She could have easily reported her money stolen to get pay back, but then she would have to explain how she fucked a fourteen year old child and got her money stolen after falling into a sex induced sleep. She was humiliated enough with the writing on her car and she couldn’t subject herself to any more ridicule. No...Snitching would have to do for now.
