“I look like a fat cow in this dress.” Renee turned away from the full-length mirror in the bridal boutique. “And white?” Renee looked at Aunt Jenny with teary eyes. “You know I can’t wear white to my engagement party, for God’s sake, I’m not a virgin. I have a child!”

Aunt Jenny laughed. “Calm down, Renee. You look absolutely stunning in that dress, and who says you can’t wear white? Nonsense! You’re Jenny Phillip’s niece and you can wear any color you want. Oh, honey, let’s face it. Every dress you tried on, you thought you looked fat.” She laughed louder this time.

The saleslady couldn’t help overhearing their conversation and came walking over with a cream-colored dress in her hands to show to them. Renee looked at her aunt and raised her head proudly. “No thanks. I’m going to buy this one I have on.”

“That’s my girl,” Aunt Jenny cheered. “Whew! Now that we’ve got that accomplished, let’s go have some lunch. On the way home, we’ll stop at the liquor store. My wine supply is running low.” Jenny looked at Renee seriously. “I hope I’m not turning into an alcoholic. Your dad looks at me kinda funny every time I have a glass. You know,” Jenny scrunched up her nose, “once you move out, I’m going to have to work on your father and loosen him up some. Such a serious old fuddy-duddy he is.”

“Oh, Aunt Jenny.” Renee threw her arm around her aunt’s shoulders and whispered, “What would I do without you?”

Jaz, Susanna, and Lori were busy at Renee’s house decorating for the engagement party that was planned for the next afternoon.

“I can’t believe you’re getting married, Renee.” Lori chuckled. “When I first moved to Fulton, you hated guys! Remember how you used to shudder when we would talk about sex? I told you to wait ‘til you got bit by that one-eyed snake.” Lori turned to face Renee. “Well, what do you think of that one-eyed snake now?”

“Lori, you’re embarrassing her,” Jaz scolded.

“How could she be embarrassed? She has a kid, for goodness’ sake.”

“Oh my Lord. Whatever would I do without you girls?” Renee choked out between bouts of laughter. “
And
to answer your question, Lori, I think one-eyed snakes are fabulous.” Renee lowered her voice and confessed to her friends, “You were right, Lori. Mick is now my slave.” The girls burst out into giggling fits, laughing so hard that they had tears in their eyes.

The doorbell rang and Aunt Jenny came out of the kitchen to answer it, pleased to see Renee and her friends having such a good time. Jenny was so happy for her niece and it brought back memories of her own true love many years ago. She often wondered where he was now and if he was happy with someone else. She hoped so.

Wiping a lone tear from her eye, she opened the door and yelled out excitedly, “Girls, the floral arrangements are here! Oh, just look at them, they are so beautiful!”

Two men carried in bouquet after bouquet made up of red and white roses with pink carnations and baby’s breath mixed in. There were six in all. Jenny directed the men where to set them in their designated places.

Jenny looked around the room with an assessing eye. “Well, that about does it. The decorations are finished, flowers are here, the food is being delivered at three tomorrow afternoon along with the cake… I guess we’re ready! Jaz, did you remember to tell everyone to be here, four o’clock sharp?”

“Yes, stop worrying! Everything is under control.”

It was five o’clock the following afternoon. Charlie and Aunt Jenny were worried. Jaz and JD were just plain pissed off. Susanna and Lori looked like they were going to kill someone, and Striker couldn’t stop laughing.

“If you don’t stop that, I am cutting you off for a year,” Holly whispered in his ear.

Striker smirked back at Holly. “Baby, cutting me off would kill you just as much as me, and you know it.” Holly scowled back at him, knowing he was right.

Renee was sitting quietly on a chair, calm as could be, holding Michael who was dressed in a pair of navy blue stretch pants with a white, long-sleeve polo shirt.

Susanna approached her. “How could you be so calm? He is over an hour late! I am going to kill that fucker.”

Renee giggled at Susanna’s cursing, something she rarely did. “He’ll be here,” is all Renee would say.

Charlie couldn’t stop watching Mick’s MC brothers. He whispered into his sister Jenny’s ear. “Did you have to invite all those bikers? We’re going to run out of booze soon. For God’s sake! How much more can a man drink? And just look at them! They’re picking at the
hors d’oeuvres
with their fingers.”

“Oh, shut up. We can always run for more booze, and what’s a few little germs? Don’t look at them if they bother you.” Jenny knew she was harsh with her brother, but she really wished he would loosen up already.

When the doorbell rang a half hour later, everyone jumped up. Charlie raced over to open the door, ready to smash Mick’s face in, thinking it had better be him.

Mick walked into the parlor followed closely behind by a stranger. Renee couldn’t take her eyes off of Mick, who was wearing his club colors and looking so hot. Everyone cheered happily, amid the shouts of, “About time you got your ass here!”

The stranger looked around the room at all the anxious faces. “How do you all do. I am the Justice of the Peace from over in Forkston. Don’t be too hard on this guy here; he came to my office earlier and was frantic, looking for a JP. He told me he wanted to surprise his girlfriend at their engagement party today. Young love, ah… how could I resist? So, here I am, to marry them.”

JD, who was standing close by listening, broke out in a big grin and shouted out, “Let the party begin!”

“Not yet,” growled Mick. “We’re getting married first, then you all can party.” Mick walked over to Renee, picked up his son from her lap, and grabbed her hand. He pulled her to stand in the center of the room. He leaned down to tenderly kiss her lips. “Sorry I’m so late, babe. I drove over half the damn state trying to find a JP available to marry us. I wanted to surprise you. I figured, since we already got our license, why wait? I want you for my wife today… right now.”

Just then, Michael started crying. Jenny came over to take him with a Binky in her hand. “Why does she do that?” Mick swore under his breath. “My son does not suck on that shit.”

“Oh, stop,” Renee whispered. “It’ll keep him quiet for a while.”

The JP looked around the room. “Who’s going to stand as witnesses for this couple?”

“I will,” a group of people yelled out at once.

The Justice of the Peace chuckled. “Well, that is nice of you all, but I only need two.”

The JP walked over to Renee and Mick and told them to ask two people so he could proceed. Renee asked her aunt and Mick asked JD, being as he was married to his sister. Jaz got all teary-eyed, not missing the symbolism in that.

“I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride.”

The cheers and shouts were making Striker deaf. He yelled out for his brothers to calm the fuck down. Charlie grimaced at Jenny, who had a big grin on her face, holding her wine glass up in a salute. Charlie frowned back at her. She downed the whole glass.

Renee was upstairs packing a suitcase with enough clothes to hold her over until she could come back for more. She couldn’t believe she was a married woman. She had to pinch herself once more, to see if she was dreaming.

Aunt Jenny came over and hugged her. “Honey, if you keep pinching yourself, that sexy man downstairs is going to have a black and blue bride to look at tonight.” Jenny got very quiet. “Are you happy, Renee?” Jenny looked deeply into Renee’s eyes. “I mean, totally, over-the-moon happy?”

Renee’s smile lit up her whole face. “YES! I am totally, over-the-moon happy.”

Jenny gave her a little squeeze. “Good. I want you to be happy like this forever. And don’t worry about Michael; with me, your dad, and Susanna, he’ll be spoiled rotten. Now,” Jenny grabbed her suitcase, “let’s not keep your man waiting any longer.”

Mick was impatient to leave. He couldn’t wait to have his bride all to himself. Charlie came walking into the room with someone trailing behind him. Mick had to look twice. He forgot all about Robert saying he would come. Mick was glad he made it, even though he was late. Robert walked right over to Mick and offered his apologies. “Did I make it in time?”

Mick shook his head no. “Just glad you made it at all.”

“Sorry, man. I got lost trying to find this small town. Your directions weren’t all that great, y’know. Congratulations. Where’s the little bride?”

“She’ll be down soon. Come, I’ll introduce you to everyone.”

Mick was halfway through with introductions when Renee and her aunt walked into the room to see Mick talking to a stranger.

“Who is that, Renee?”

“I don’t know, must be a friend of Mick’s.”

Mick brought Robert over to Renee immediately when he saw her come downstairs. He grabbed Renee’s hand and smiled. “Renee, meet my friend, Robert. He drove quite a distance just to be here for us.”

Robert leaned down to kiss Renee on her cheek and offered his congratulations.

“Well, young man, that was very nice of you. I am Renee’s aunt, Jenny Phillips. Pleased to meet you.” She held out her hand for a shake.

Robert’s hand suddenly jerked back and his whole body went rigid. His smile froze and he felt the blood draining from his head. He stood there staring like he was in a trance.

Jenny wondered what on Earth was wrong with this guy. “Are you all right? Do you need a glass of water or something?”

Robert couldn’t speak. Mick didn’t know what to think. “Hey, man, you okay?”

“Sorry,” he finally mumbled. “I need to leave. Sorry.” Robert turned and walked out the door. Mick ran after him and called out, but Robert didn’t stop. He jumped in his car and drove away. Mick stood there for a few minutes, replaying in his mind what had just happened and not making any sense out of it.

Jenny walked outside in time to see Robert’s taillights disappearing down the road. “What the heck was that all about?” Jenny asked, pretty shook up.

Mick shrugged. “Couldn’t tell ya. Well, I’m not going to worry about it tonight. Got me a bride in there waiting for me.”

The brothers all whooped when Mick bent down and lifted Renee into his arms and walked out the door. JD picked up Renee’s suitcase and went running after him, mumbling something about a dumb cocksucker under his breath.

Mick pulled into his driveway and waited for Renee’s reaction. He asked his brothers for some help with painting the brown picket fence to white. He smiled when Renee let out a high-pitched squeal.

“A white picket fence!” She turned to Mick. “How did you know my dream house had a white picket fence?”

“The other day when I brought you here, you mumbled something about a white picket fence.” Mick got out of his truck and opened Renee’s door. He reached in and lifted her into his arms. “Come, Mrs. Jenkins. I can’t wait to carry my bride over the threshold.”

Renee opened up her suitcase to get out her jammies, but she couldn’t find them. She bit her lip, thinking. She knew she put them in there. She moved aside some other items and gasped. She picked up a sheer pink, nylon bra that was trimmed with little pink rosettes. It had a layer of pink nylon flowing down. The bra was held together in the front with a pink silk bow. Attached to the knot in the bow was the skimpiest pair of sheer panties Renee had ever seen in her life.

Mick walked out of the bathroom in time to see Renee holding up the sheer negligee. “Wow, babe. You really know how to blow my mind.”

Renee chuckled and looked at Mick. “Aunt Jenny’s little surprise.”

“Better put it on fast ‘cause I can’t wait much longer to rip if off of you,” Mick said as he was walking towards her. “Too late.” Mick picked Renee up and playfully threw her down onto the bed. She landed on her stomach laughing, and when she rolled over and held out her arms to him, Mick knew it was karma.

Just like I imagined when I walked into my house that one night: her lightly-freckled face with her big blue eyes sparkling up at me.

“What’s wrong, honey? You’re just standing there?”

Mick gave his head a little shake to clear it. “Karma, baby. It’s just Karma.”

Renee had no clue what he was talking about, but she let it go. Mick laid behind Renee on the huge king-sized bed and started undressing her. His lips followed his fingers, kissing her bare back with every button he opened. When there were no buttons left, he pulled the dress over her head and threw it to the foot of the bed. His lips continued downward until he kissed her soft round cheeks. Renee was moaning softly, trembling with desire. Mick wet his finger with his saliva and ran it down between her butt cheeks, seeking her pink little rosebud. He teased her for a little while, and when she moaned louder, he inserted his finger in a little bit.

“Mick… it hurts.”

“Sorry, baby.” Mick knew he would have to gradually build up to fucking Renee in the ass, so he moved his finger away.

“Mick, no fair. You still have your clothes on,” Renee said, her voice low and shaky as she opened her legs up wider.

Mick stood up and took off his colors and laid them on a nearby chair. The rest of his clothes were just as quickly ripped off to get back to Renee. He licked her body from her neck down to the very tip of her toes, and Renee was mindless with passion by the time he lifted his head up.

“I need to feel you deep inside of me, honey. I need you now. Please…”

Mick hushed her up with his lips claiming hers and fucked her hard and deep.

Renee was basking in the afterglow of their frenzied love-making when Mick pulled away to look into her face. “Are you sure you’re okay with taking a honeymoon at a later date?” Mick quietly asked her.

“Of course I am. We can go somewhere later on. In fact, what if I told you I don’t want to go anywhere? I just want to stay here in this house with you, forever.”

“I’d say, I like your idea. How does it feel to be a married woman?” Mick asked, his eyes shining full of love.

Renee wrapped her arms around his neck and whispered, “Why don’t I show you?”

“Hell yeah, baby.”
