"Okay, I guess that’ll have to do. As soon
as you've chewed up these two guys and spit 'em out, you let me
know. Josh is in New York right now anyway so--"

"He's in New York?"

"Yeah. He's been spending more and more time
there, you know how the Drummond business is. Sometimes I don't see
Daniel for days. So if you want to meet him, it can be arranged
pronto. Just let me know."

"I’ll keep that in mind. And Alison..." she
hesitated.

"What is it MJ?"

"You know I love you little sister, don't
you?"

"Of course I do. I love you too. Now go and
have fun and I'll keep the younger Mr. Drummond on hold for
you."

MJ ended the call and got out of bed. It was
Sunday and she wasn't quite sure what to do with herself. The day
was heating up already so she didn't feel like wearing much. And
for what she had in mind, maybe she wouldn't need to cover up that
much anyway. She looked around the room and noticed the package
that Adam had delivered to her sitting next to a pile of her boxes
on the floor.

Wow, I never even opened
that thing.
Although it was scant days, it
already seemed like an age since she had been a receptionist and
Adam had charmed her with his sexy smile, good looks, and
impossibly gorgeous blue eyes. MJ had forgotten all about the
stupid package in the meantime.

She went to open it but an electronic ping
made her look up. Adam's laptop was running on his desk and he had
just received an email. Everything was open on the screen. She
looked around the room again and listened for a moment. As far as
she could tell, there was no one in the apartment.

Her heart raced.
Don’t do it.
She told
herself.

But she couldn’t resist. Her feelings about
the two men were too crazy, and she hardly even knew them. The
desire to learn something, anything about them that she could fully
believe took over. Now was her chance.

She moved quickly to the desk and started
going through his messages. The subject of the very first one was
'Red Haired Angel' and it was already ten replies deep. This was
obviously an exchange he had been having with someone about
her.

'Hey Dude, you will not believe this but I
think I've found the one. This girl is everything I've ever dreamed
of. Sweet, sexy, cute, smart, a little crazy, and stacked to die
for.'

She couldn't help but blush a little and
snigger. It isn't every day a girl gets to read these things about
herself. The email exchange went on and gradually got spicier. The
latest one was from yesterday evening. Adam must have sent it as he
was getting ready to go out.

'You would not believe it, man. Going out on
this non-date/date thing tonight and Blake is coming too. He thinks
he's going to charm MJ away from me but I won't give him a chance.
That girl is mine. All mine. I want her bad man, she's all I think
about. I can't concentrate on anything else. All I think about is
her face, her hair, her ass, her tits, her soft skin, her sweet
voice, that crazy sense of humor. I have never wanted to get a girl
into bed so badly as this and the crazy thing is that she sleeps in
my bed every night but I can't touch her. Not until she's ready.
But Christ, once she is I want to do it all to her. I want to tie
her down, strip her slowly, spend time, lots of time on each
individual part of her, tease her, make her scream, moan, just
slowly, slowly at first, watch her nearly cum, almost. Then speed
things up and watch her explode again and again and again.

But I won't stop there. God no. I want to
taste her, I want to own her, surround her and then get inside her
and stay there until she screams, until she can't take any more and
then I’ll push her over the edge, way over the edge. I've never
wanted to blow a girl’s mind so bad. I want her to feel it, I want
to hear her climax again and again and again and then when she's
finished…'

MJ stopped reading right there. It was
enough. She dug her hand into her underwear, found her moist nub
and began to work it fast. She needed release and the days spent
cooped up in this testosterone-laced bachelor pad had already
pushed her to the brink of madness. It wasn't long before she was
breathless with images of the two men filling her mind, two sets of
hands, two tongues, two gorgeous flexing, straining, muscular
asses...she let go and threw her head back groaning as the first
orgasm hit her but she kept working it. Her eyes looked down to the
computer screen, to the horny email that had set her off and then
she saw it -- the reflection of a face in the corner of the
screen.

She screamed and turned around. Blake was
right behind her, watching. He looked transfixed with an obvious
erection bulging in his trousers and a look on his face as though
he had just seen Satan on a sunbed. Before she could utter a
word, he turned and fled straight out the front door.

MJ turned back to the computer screen. Her
shoulders slumped. She felt slightly more relaxed but of course
there was no way that a quick, albeit interrupted bout of hand
relief was going to satisfy the pent-up needs she had accumulated
in the last forty-eight hours

"There goes that idea anyway." She thought
dejectedly. "One more humiliation, one more screw up. Well done,
MJ." Her eyes trailed off to the end of the email:

'God I can't wait until I turn 21 and my
trust fund money comes through. I will fill that girl's life with
roses, trips to Paris, and whatever the hell else it takes to get
those huge titties from paradise in my hands.'

Oh my God MJ, what have
you done this time?
Adam was under 21, but
he looked so grown up. So
very
grown up.

Chapter
Thirty-Five

"MJ?" Alison was getting really worried about her
friend. She was used to speaking with her almost daily, but the
recent spate of erratic calls together with the crazy questions
about her love life had her on high alert.

"Ally...”
where to begin? I just fapped in front of my
roommate? Or how about with the fact that the guy she had watched
have wet dreams about her was 20 years old with the sexual maturity
of a 14 year-old boy?

"MJ, baby, are you okay? Maybe I need to
come out there--"

"No, don't do that. Please. I need to work
through some stuff on my own here. Just for a little while
longer."

"Please tell me you won’t do anything crazy
without calling me. If you need help with anything, please, please
just ask me. If I can do it, then you know I will."

MJ took a big gulp and felt a large chunk of
pride go down her throat. "Ally, maybe I will take a loan of some
money. Things are a little tight right now."

"Of course MJ, you know that's the easiest
thing of all. Just tell me how much? Maybe $10,000? Enough to put
down a deposit and--"

"Make it $3,000 and I'll pay you back with
my first month's wages."

"MJ...money is nothing to the Drummonds. I
could put $100,000 in your account and nobody would bat an eyelid.
You'll have it by tomorrow 9:00 a.m."

Three thousand is all I
need. That and a date with what's his name… Josh."

Alison held the phone to her chest for a
second, relieved that her friend was finally relenting and seeing
sense. She would love Josh eventually, she was sure of it. And if
Josh was anything like Alex or Daniel, as she believed he was, then
he would take very good care of her. Maybe he could even save her
from this insane love triangle she had been drawn into through bad
fortune, loneliness, or whatever else had sent her off the
rails.

"That's fantastic news, MJ. He will be
thrilled. I'll call him right away. He can pick you up at
8:00."

"How can you be so sure?"

"Don't worry, I've got my ways. He'll be
there. Guaranteed."

MJ still couldn't quite believe
transformation in her friend, but the confident and capable new
Alison was beginning to grow on her. Maybe being around those
arrogant, entitled Drummonds wasn't such a bad thing after all.
Alison had always been such a mouse but now she seemed able to
really make things happen.

MJ choked up with emotion. She might only
have one good friend in the whole world but she was as good as they
came -- a shining star.

"Thanks, Ally." She whispered. "You're the
best." She ended the call before she ended in tears.

Next she called Adam, intending to tell him
that this would be her last night in the apartment, but he didn't
pick up. She left a short message asking him to call on his
voicemail.

What about Blake? No. That was just too
weird. Adam could tell him she would no longer live with them and
he could come to his own conclusions as to why not.

She packed up the rest of her things. If she
had enough money for a cheap hotel, she would have left
immediately. However, she didn't even have that and all her credit
cards were maxed out. One swipe and she would be refused anywhere.
MJ would have to put up with one more damn night in this insane
hormone hothouse of an apartment.

The package Adam had delivered to her still
sat unopened on the floor. She had nothing else to do and she might
be alone for hours.

Okay, so let's see what's
in this thing.
She thought.
This whole mess started with this thing
anyway.
She picked up the box and tore off
the gift wrapping. There was a note on the inside written in a
strong, clear masculine style:

'Please accept this gift. If you are ever in
any trouble or need help, call me. If you need to talk, call me.
I'll be your knight in shining armor. Your secret admirer.'

Her heart began to beat a little faster.
This was the last thing she had expected. How many men were
involved now? Adam, Blake, Josh, and now this secret admirer as
well? That made four in total. She hardly dared open the box to
which the note had been attached. Her hand trembled as she removed
the lid saw that set inside there was an even smaller box
again.

Oh my God, no!

This was too much. Whoever this guy was, he
must be crazy or a stalker of some kind. Maybe it was a good thing
she had been fired if some weirdo was staking her out at work. At
least she had put some distance between them.

She opened the lid and then slammed it shut
again. There was a ring inside. It was small and tasteful, but the
rock set into it was pure, deep, intense, and brilliant
pink. MJ didn't know much about diamonds but she had worked
briefly in an upscale jewelers store. If that was a real pink
diamond, it could be worth anything at all into the hundreds of
thousands of dollars. What kind of rich screwball would send her
that without even having met her?

She held her breath and opened the box
again.

"Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God." She
whispered. There was another small note inside:

'It's yours to keep. If you ever need me, if
you're ever in trouble, put this on and I will find you. Until we
meet. Your admirer.'

What the hell did that mean? What was this?
A transponder disguised as a diamond ring? And since when had she
been so paranoid? She held it up to the light and then breathed
onto the stone. The fog of her breath cleared instantly, indicating
it was probably the real thing.

There was another item; a document in the
larger box. She took it out, unfolded it, and saw her name filled
out as the owner of a certified three-carat diamond.

"Oh my God!"

She put the precious gem back in the box and
then searched for a return address or anything that could help her
identify the person who had sent this insane gift to her. It would
have to be returned. There was nothing in the way of contact
information except the phone number to call if she was in
trouble.

God damn it.
Some manipulative, stalking millionaire. She
picked up her phone and got ready to dial. Then she
stopped.

She took the gem box out again, put it into
her bag, and left the house. She had to get out and try to think.
But she couldn’t leave something so valuable as that in the
apartment. What if it got stolen and then this screwball wanted it
back?

Her head was beginning to hurt with all the
craziness. What in God's name did it all mean?

MJ headed south on the subway, down to the
Village. She needed to get away from this out of touch with
reality, super-wealthy Upper East Side and down to more familiar
turf in the coffee shops of the East Village.

She walked for a couple of hours before she
realized how exhausted she was, both physically and emotionally.
She spotted one of her old favorites, a cute little place where she
Ally and Olivia used to hang out during her days at
Tête-á-Tête.

She ordered her usual, a tall mocha latte,
and then found the corner they used to spend hours in, gossiping
about work, guys (usually Olivia's) and about life in general. God,
how she would love to have some of those days back again now. They
had seemed hard at the time but she had felt so alive, so close to
her friends; the three long lost sisters looking out for each
other.

"MJ?" The voice next to her was almost a
whisper. "Is that you?" When she looked up she couldn't believe her
eyes. Her lips trembled and she couldn’t speak a word.

"MJ baby, mi amor..." Olivia was looking at
her with those entrancing deep brown Latina eyes of hers. The two
women threw their arms around each other and began to weep.

"I'm so sorry baby, I've missed you so
much." Olivia spoke the words close into her friends ear. MJ
couldn't speak any words at all.
