“I had a feeling. You’re not the timid girl you were when we met. Remember that? Remember how much you loathed me?” James asked.

“I didn’t know you. I didn’t know life with a rock star could be so exciting,” I replied.

“Yeah, I am pretty awesome,” James said. I shook my head and laid it on his shoulder.

“And modest too,” I told him. James laughed.

“We should get going,” he told me.

“Why?” I wondered.

“I told the pilot to have the jet fueled and ready to go at ten. We got married, had a reception, got busy and now we need to go on a honeymoon,” he said. I hadn’t even thought about that.

“Where?” I asked excitedly.

“I own a little island in the South Pacific,” he said. Huh? He owned an island?

“What? Are you serious?” I asked him as I sat up.

“Well, I guess we own it and technically we rented it for a week. We’ll have it all to ourselves,” he said and then added, “Unless you aren’t interested.”

“I’m going, Mr. Turner, whether you go or not,” I joked. James reached down and slapped my ass. He opened his mouth to speak but I beat him to the punch, “You love it when I get all fired up, right?”

“You’re learning, Mrs. Turner. You’re learning,” James said. I climbed to my feet and James joined me. We went inside to get ready and pack for our honeymoon. I’d never imagined I wanted a life like this but now that I had it, I couldn’t imagine life any other way. James, the house, the band all of it. I’d always wondered what blissfully happy meant. Now I knew.

“Hey, you want to play drop the soap in the shower?” James asked as we walked upstairs. Really? He’d just finished.

“Sure, you go get ready and I’ll go get the strap on. Where do you keep it?” I asked. James stopped on the stairs and stared after me. I couldn’t help but giggle.

“I love you, Mrs. Turner,” James said as he scurried to catch up.

“I love you too,” I replied.

“Why are you after me?” I asked. Dutch looked at me as if I was stupid.

“I thought I made the pretty clear. I want fuck you,” he said crudely but his words made my pussy swell.

“No, I mean why not just pick up a girl at some biker bar or wherever it is you hang out at. You know, a skinny girl,” I clarified.

“Look, I like a woman with some meat on her bones and I like a challenge. Your friend likes those so-called men at the club you were at. Why not? She’s a bitch and they’ll put up with her. I wouldn’t touch her. You, on the other hand, aren’t looking for some sweater wearing metrosexual to dominate. You’re a real woman and you need a real man,” Dutch explained and his ego was as unbelievable as it was exciting.

“And you’re a real man?” I challenged. Dutch laughed at me.

“I’m a man. I’m not trying to get in touch with my feminine side, I’m not denying my instincts and I sure as hell ain’t crying to some head shrinker. I grew up like you probably did. I was middle class, went to public school, all that. However, my old man was old fashioned. He taught me to be man, to take control, lead and live for myself,” Dutch said. I’d never really heard a guy talk like he did. Almost every man I knew was trying to please everyone around him, trying to prove he wasn’t like Dutch and trying to convince the world he was sensitive, passive and submissive. It was kind of refreshing and most definitely attractive to hear Dutch lay it out as he did.

“And so you’re here to give me what I want?” I asked.

“Come here,” Dutch said, more of a demand that a request.

“Why?” I asked but I already knew why.

“Get your ass over here,” he said softly but forcefully. He wasn’t mean about it, even wearing a small grin. I set my beer down and walked around the coffee table. I stood in front of Dutch and his eyes swept up and down my body. That made me even hotter than I already was. Damn him, he was right. Becky may have liked the power she had over the men in our circle, but I wanted a man to be in control. I wanted a man to dictate, to dominate even. I wanted Dutch.

“What are you going to do?” I asked and I couldn’t hide the nervousness in my voice.

“You’re frightened, aren’t you?” he asked. I was. I didn’t feel threatened but I was still afraid of what might happen.

“A little,” I answered.

“Kind of exciting, isn’t it?” he asked sitting there just staring at me as I stood before him. Dutch took another sip of his beer but his eyes never left my body.

“Yes, it is,” I told him. For moment, he just looked at me, or rather, devoured me with his eyes. I think I was shaking but it might have been in my head. Finally, he downed his beer, leaned forward and set it on the table behind me.

“Take your clothes off,” he said as he sat back and got comfortable. I hesitated, not expecting that. I could tell he wasn’t going to ask again. He expected me to do it and I found I wanted to. I pulled my tank top off and tossed it onto my rocking chair. Then I shimmied out of my jeans and did the same with them. I stood there in my pink panties and bra, my chest heaving and my breath ragged. I felt like there was no way a man like Dutch could find me attractive, but his eyes said different.

About this Book

Rock Hard Bliss is the finale to the popular Rock Hard series. This story has more conflict and dark moments for our couple, Simone and James, but the conclusion is a rousing happily ever after ending. This story introduces new characters and reveals secrets only alluded to in Parts 1 and 2. Surprises appear around every corner and just when you think the story is over, things take another turn.

This is a favorite story but one that was hard to write. After nearly 60,000 words worth of Simone and James, I was weary of the story. It took a while to write this part.  However, once I got rolling the story flowed from me and took turns I wasn’t aware of until I wrote them. Even I am surprised at the twists in this story.

This finale is also the most emotional of the three parts. The peril is more immediate, the romance deeper and the characters even more fully developed. We get a better glimpse into the world they live in and why they are the people they are. But what satisfies me the most is the way the characters relate to one another. There are many light and funny moments within the tumult.

I am glad this story is finished and now that it is, I am even more in love with James and Simone, the band and my new favorite character is the pop diva, Christie Anastasia. I will miss this bunch. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I loved writing it. It has been an experience I will never forget and I’m glad you’ve come along for the ride - D.H. Cameron.
