Chapter 6

Helen had moved up the bed so that her head rested on the pillow. She ran her fingers along the middle of her chest, tracing circles over her nipples and the bite marks that Dani had left etched in her skin. As she did this she bit her lower lip in anticipation of the sweet girl's return. Her heart was beating quickly and a smile played upon Helen's face. For the first time in a long time she felt happy, and it was a strange sensation to be in bed and not be lonely. The anguish had been cleansed from her soul and she felt like a new woman.

“Miss me?” Dani said playfully, standing in the door. Helen looked up and moaned in awe, for Dani was naked. Her rainbow hair reached down over her shoulders to the top of her full breasts, which were perfectly symmetrical. She had a thin waist and wide hips, and was shaved completely. In her hand she carried a can of whipped cream, and strode into the room. As she grew closer, Helen looked at her soft, unblemished skin, and couldn't believe that after all these years such a beautiful creature was beside her.

Dani's naked body rested against Helen's, and the young woman's foot moved up and down Helen's leg. Dani leaned over and kissed her again, resting her hand on Helen's breast, moaning gently as her hair fell over Helen's face. She then took Helen's hand and placed it on her own supple breast, and Helen felt like she was going to faint. Dani smiled, for she knew the effect she was having on the older woman.

“My daddy would be so mad right now,” she said as she kissed Helen, and the taboo nature of their romance only served to turn Helen on more. She felt alive again. Breaking the rules gave her a rush and she felt like with Dani anything was possible. Helen felt Dani's hard nipples, then her palm was directed down, over the flat stomach, to the narrow slit that was already burning wet. Both Helen and Dani gasped as Helen's fingers slipped inside Dani's body, plunging into her, curling up and down, reaching inside to find the sweetest spot that made Dani's soul explode with delight.

The more pleasure that Dani felt, the harder she kissed Helen, and the harder she kissed Helen, the deeper Helen reached inside her. The lust ebbed and flowed like tidal waves inside each of them, and their bodies melted into one entity. Soon enough Dani's fingers were inside Helen again and they played with each other until sweat streamed down their faces. Then, Dani rolled the can of cream over Helen's body. It was cold and made her gasp and wince with shock. Dani picked it up and shook it, then sprayed some over Helen's breasts, quickly licking it up. Then she did the same to her own, and soon enough both their bodies were covered in a messy, creamy sheen that mixed with their saliva. Dani filled up Helen's mouth with cream until she thought she was going to gag on it, and the two of them kissed and pleasured each other until their bodies shook and screamed with powerful orgasms.

Being with Dani was different than being with Michael. With her sexuality having been reawakened, Helen was able to see herself as part of the world again. With Dani, things felt purer; she felt more connected with the young woman and clung to her tightly as they slept. She looked the rise and fall of Dani's chest, and the way her lips were pressed together was something beautiful. Never did she think that she would be laying in bed with a 21-year-old woman, the daughter of a billionaire no less. Helen nuzzled up to her, enjoying the feeling of the arms being wrapped around her tightly and the affection and comfort that came from it. She fell asleep to the rhythm of Dani's heart, and dreamed happily.

When Helen awoke in the morning Dani was staring at her.

“Hey sleepyhead,” she said, and kissed Helen softly. The previous night had almost seemed like a dream. Helen rested her head against Dani's soft breasts and kissed the flesh. Dani stroked Helen's head.

“So why is your dad so mad about you being a lesbian?” Helen asked.

“Because he wants a legacy. I'm his only child and he wants his name to live on. As if having it plastered over thousands of hotels isn't enough.”

“He sounds like a powerful man.”

“He is,” Dani said, and then paused. A thoughtful look came over her face. She reached down and tilted Helen's head up so that the two of them could look each other in the eyes.

“Listen, I need to talk to you about something. My father... if he ever found out about us he would try and destroy you. Being with me is a risk, and I know you love your business. I don't want to see anything bad happen to that, but I really want to keep seeing you and want to keep doing... this. But I want you to know there's a risk if you want to be with me. I promise you that I'll make it worth your while though.” Dani said this last part with a twinkle in her eye and Helen's heart jumped. The thought of losing her business was terrifying but the thought of not seeing Dani again was worse. She didn't want a repeat of Raven.

“I don't mind being your naughty little secret,” she said, and kissed Dani again, then pulled the covers over their heads as they made love while the morning sun shone outside.

THE END

Finding My Goddess

Chapter 1

“You should totally do it!” Marie said. The other girls nodded in agreement. They were holding their glasses of wine and giggling, while Linda looked for an escape route. But there was none. They were sitting in her lounge, on the plush white chairs. Linda sighed and reached to the coffee table, plucking a few ripe green grapes from their stalks and throwing them in her mouth. The tight skin crunched under her teeth and the juice oozed out. It was a sweet taste, but god she craved some chocolate.

“I really don't think it's my sort of thing, you know I'm not graceful, I can barely walk in a straight line without tipping over. I think I've got this inner-ear thing.”

The other women narrowed their eyes at her.

“Linda, come on, you never do anything to relax!” Sammi said, her bright blue eyes dancing in the sunlight that entered the room. “We're only trying to do this for your own good. When have we ever steered you wrong?”

“Well, you did set me up with Aaron,” Linda replied quickly. A hush set over them. Yeah. That had been a mistake and Linda was still recovering from it. Dear, sweet Aaron. She held a grape in her hand and squeezed it tightly until she felt the juice running through her fingers.  Just thinking about him made her entire body tense. The other women looked at each other.

“Err, yes, well, that was an aberration,” Mindy said, “but you have to understand we really thought he was a sweetie we had no idea what he was actually like. But this isn't setting you up with a guy, this is just a way to get you out of the house. I mean, come on, any time we do anything you always say you're busy with work. This is the first time we've all hung out together in, what, two months?”

It had been a long time, Linda had to admit that. She reached up and brushed a lock of brown hair away from her eyes and looked around at all her friends. She wanted to tell them the truth, that it wasn't just work that was keeping her apart from them. They were all sitting there, pretty and slim with their tight dresses that showed off their slender physiques. They went to the gym. They ate carrot sticks and celery and yogurt and all those other things that were supposed to be good for you but never ever satisfied that part inside Linda and only left the craving to grow and fester until she just had to gorge on some sweet delicious chocolate. They all had husbands and boyfriends, men any girl would have loved to sweep them up in their arms with their chiseled jaws and biceps, their easy smiles and their eyes full of sex. Linda could only imagine how it was to be carried away in a bed, a soft, beautiful woman and a hard, strong man.

They had all been friends since high school. A friendship that lasted forever but in truth Linda didn't feel like they were her friends. There were so many things she was hiding from them nowadays, all the pain she felt inside, the anguish, because she knew that they wouldn't understand. It was easy for them with their perfect bodies and their perfect lives, and Linda didn't want to be the pathetic one that was being left behind.

Sometimes she saw it in there eyes, that look of pity, although she didn't know if she was imagining it or not. Things hadn't gone well since her break up with Aaron. He was supposed to be the one she had been waiting for, the one that would make everything alright. She shared things with him, things that she hadn't  shared with anyone else. Her hopes and dreams and fears and nightmares and he had taken them all and tossed them aside when someone prettier and younger had come along and her whole world had been shattered and what had she been able to do?

Nothing.

Now she wasn't sure if she could be that way with anyone again. Her heart was too precious and it was easier to turn away from love and all the misery and despair that came with it. Love was only meant for people like Mindy, Sammi, and Marie, and Linda was happy for them but wished that sometimes they would just leave her alone.

“I really appreciate the thought but I just don't think it's for me, I mean, I've never even stepped in a gym before I wouldn't know what to do. I hate the thought of standing there and getting all sweaty with a bunch of strangers staring at me,” she said, her voice quivering a little as anxiety swept through her.

“Linda, it's a gym, you're supposed to get sweaty,” Sammi said in a flat tone, “look, we're not saying you have to do this regularly but what's the harm in just going to one class? I've done it before, it does wonders for the mind. I felt so much more relaxed afterwards, and I tell you, nights with Ron were much more fun.” The three of them all giggled, sharing secret sex, while Linda remained impassive.

“That's hardly going to be a benefit for me,” she said. The girls looked at her. There was that look again. Pity. Linda wanted to turn them all away. But they were the only friends she had.

“You might even meet someone there. It's not beyond the realm of possibility. I know you've found it tough since what happened with Aaron but you're not going to find happiness buried in files and folders. There's a life out there for you Linda, you just have to take it.” She wore a smile. They all did. Was this an intervention? It felt like it. Linda took another few grapes and slipped them in between her lips.

God she wanted some chocolate.

Chapter 2

“I've been waiting on that report for an hour. Get your ass in gear or I'll have it fired!” she yelled down the phone, then slammed the receiver down. She exhaled deeply and placed her head in her hands, massaging her temples. There was a knock at the door. For a moment she ignored it, wishing that she could have one moment of peace to herself.

“What is it?” she said in a weary tone, looking up. Daniel was standing there holding a wad of paper in his hands, looking as stressed out as she felt. But he was only the intern. All the responsibility was hers.

“We had that interview with Danny King and now his people are saying that we misrepresented his words and he wants us to print a retraction saying that we took his quotes out of context.”

“And if we don't?”

“He's... yeah... he's going to sue us,” he said.

“Well that's just great.”

“It's not like he'd win,” Daniel said hopefully.

“No but he would tie us up in court and he's got the lawyers to drag it out.  And it's not like we can afford the bad publicity or all the fees. We're already struggling as it is,” she sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. “Um, look, why don't you go and see Mark and see if he can get a hold of Danny, try and get him to change his mind, get him a present or something, or offer him a follow-up interview. Just try not to have to print a retraction. I hate those.”

“Okay,” Daniel said, and half-turned out of the room but before he left he twisted his head back.

“You okay boss?” he asked.

Linda wore a thin smile but there was no joy in her eyes, only tiredness.

“I'm fine Daniel, just tired. It feels like we're never done with work here. How's the online version doing?”

“Actually really well, the app has really taken off and people are using it a lot. We've got good activity on Twitter and Facebook as well.”

“Well... that's something at least.”

“You don't seem happy about it?”

“I am, from a financial standpoint but I wish the print version was still selling well. I think if it wasn't for me it would have been discontinued a long time ago, and even now I think I'm going to have to fold it soon. It just makes me sad, like all the things I grew up with are going out of fashion.”

“Try not to see it like that, it's just transforming, it's still the same magazine, just in a different format, and whether it's in print or not, we all know you're the driving force behind making it a success. When was the last time you took a day off?” he asked. Linda wanted to answer but she couldn't. She had no idea.

“I wouldn't know what to do with myself even if I had a day off,” she said, laughing weakly.

“Maybe you should take one. It's not good to be stuck here all the time. I think it'd make me go mad. Anyway, I'll get onto Mark,” he said, afraid that he had stepped over the boundaries. Linda watched him leave. The door swung slowly behind him and clicked shut. She leaned back in her chair and rubbed her eyes. This wasn't how she wanted her life to turn out. When she was younger she thought she would be a famous novelist by now, living the cosmopolitan lifestyle, traveling around the world and drinking in everything it had to offer. Instead she was the senior editor of a prestigious magazine. It was a good job, and she was proud to have risen to such a prominent position but it wasn't the same as her dreams.

She stared at the screen in front of her. It buzzed and her eyes stung. Her fingers rested on the smooth keys of the keyboard, then she pushed herself away and walked to the bathroom. The white porcelain tiles were bright and the electric lights hummed overhead. She walked to the sink, twisted the faucet, and felt the cold water spray over her hands. She let it fill her palms and splashed it over her face, gasping at the sensation. It dripped down and slipped into her mouth, and then she stared at her reflection in the mirror.

When had she gotten so old?

Well, she was only thirty, but she felt older, almost as though she had lived ten thousand years. And what had she done with her life really? The brown eyes stared back at her, shimmering with the embers of faded dreams. For others life was a mountain but for her it seemed to have plateaued. There was nothing she was looking forward to. Work had consumed her life, but at least she had that. Sometimes she looked with sadness at the world around her for in her heart she knew that she was missing out on things, but she did not know how to integrate herself into the world. Aaron had left her with deep wounds, and she thought she was too old to start again. When she used to look in the mirror, she was proud of her curves, proud to be a big, beautiful woman, but Aaran had shattered her confidence, and now she only saw a shell, a shadow. The flame was being extinguished and she didn't know if it was even possible to reignite the flame.
