“You bitch!” Nathan said as he walked towards me clenching his fist. I was so sure he was going to hit me. I closed my eyes as he raised his fist to take a swing at me.

“Let her go,” I heard Vincent’s voice cutting into the tension. I opened my eyes and the two men threw me to the ground. I gasped when I felt the glass cutting into my palms.

“I’m here if you want me.” I felt a tear rolling down one cheek as I turned around to see Vincent walking in through the hole in the sliding door. Here was the man I cared so much about, standing alone against three gun-wielding men. He was going to die, right in front of me and I couldn’t do anything about it. I was crying as Vincent walked to the moonlit part of the kitchen.

“No,” I said in a whisper when I heard Nathan cocking his gun. But Vincent seemed to be calm. Unusually calm for someone about to die. He looked at me and I saw the same gentle look in his eyes.

“Close your eyes, Winnie,” he said. I opened my mouth trying to understand what was going on, but nothing ever came out of my mouth but a series of gasps and sighs. “Go on, close your eyes.” I shut my eyes tightly, but it was not enough to avoid the temptation of peeking. I gently wiped my hands down on my dress getting the few shards of glass off before I put my hands over my eyes. I heard a loud growl that prompted me to open my eyes but as soon as I did, I regretted it. I watched as Vincent transformed from a man to a beast.

“Oh my God…” I whispered as I watched Vincent become a beast.

Suddenly the paw prints I had seen some time back made sense. There, right in the middle of the room where Vincent was just a few minutes ago, stood a werewolf. The two men were not firing. They, like me, were too overwhelmed by what was happening. I gasped in fear when the werewolf howled loudly and then began charging towards the three men. That was all the inspiration they needed to begin firing. But it was like all the bullets seemed to be missing him or bouncing off his body because he was not stopping.

Nathan aimed at his head but I just could not watch. I closed my eyes and tears rolled down my cheeks as I heard more gunshots and men screaming. I could hear something tearing, things breaking. I could not help but wonder if that was the sound of flesh tearing and bones breaking. I found myself looking for a happy place, the dream I had of Vincent and me in the shower. It was the only way for me to make sure I didn’t go crazy. I could still feel the tears rolling down my cheeks as I remembered how real his hands felt on my arms. How perfect my body felt against his muscular body. I could feel him all around me…

My eyes were still closed when Vincent walked over to where I was and transformed back to human form, to the man I knew. I opened my eyes and saw him lying next to me. He looked exhausted and he was panting. He looked at me and I began to slowly back away from him. I was terrified of him…it. Whatever it…he was. I felt a fresh flow of tears rolling down my cheeks.

“Winnie,” he started, but I moved back, panting hard. He shifted his weight closer to me, albeit with great difficulty. He reached for my hands and held them tightly. He put them on either side of his face.

“It’s me, Winnie. It’s me. It’s Vincent,” he said in a gruff voice. “I’m right here,” he added as he looked at me. I was now crying uncontrollably. Everything was just too much for me. I was overcome with grief and confusion and fear. He pulled himself up and gathered me in his arms.

“I’m sorry, Winnie. I’m so sorry,” he said as he held me. I tried pulling away angrily, but even then, with all the exhaustion and pain he was in, he was still stronger than I was. He tightened his grip around me. He wasn’t hurting me but I couldn’t move.

“You should have told me,” I said amid sobs.

“I know, Winnie. I’m sorry,” he said as he gently ran his hand up and down my arm.

“You just can’t…you just can’t say sorry and….” My words trailed off when he pressed his lips into my forehead. I was melting in his arms but it didn’t last long. I was still angry. I pulled away from him and looked into his eyes.

“You
should
have told me,” I said again as I looked at him. I didn’t care what reason he had to keep something this big from me. I looked at him and I wanted to slap him.

“I know, Winnie. And believe me when I say I am sorry. I really, truly am.” I wanted to believe him but there was something that was making me hold back. I couldn’t trust him.

“You lied to me…Vincent. You lied to
me.”
I could not help the tears that rolled down my cheeks.

“Don’t do that. I can’t…I can’t bear to see you sad,” he said as he brushed off the tears on my cheeks with his thumbs.

“Then you shouldn’t have lied,” I said. My voice was authoritative, almost loud. I looked at him and I could have sworn I could see the pain in his eyes.

“Winnie…” he started as he looked into my eyes.

“You wanted to get rid of me, didn’t you? That’s why you lied.” He shook his head.

“I would never want to live in a world without you,” he said.

“You are still lying to me, aren’t you?” I asked as I looked at him. “Because if you mean what you are saying then you should have been honest with me from the beginning.” I was talking louder and louder.

“No, Winnie. I didn’t want to hurt you,” he said as he looked at me.

“You didn’t want to hurt me, seriously? You told me that so long as I took care of myself you would take care of yourself. And you nearly died tonight trying to protect me! Do you have any idea what that could have done to me?” I said as I looked at him. “You have no right to play sacrificial lamb for me, Vincent. You have no right to do that. Ever!” More tears were rolling down my cheeks without me even realizing it.

“I’m sorry, Winnie. I know. I’m sorry.” I pulled away from him.

“Stop saying you’re sorry, Vincent! It isn’t enough!” I said angrily. He held my face in his hands again and looked into my eyes.

“But I am, Winnie. And I’m not sure what I am supposed to say to make you believe me.” I looked at him and suddenly began shaking. He held me close and stroked my hair. I pulled away and looked at him.

“You have to promise me never to do that again, Vincent. I can’t lose you,” I said without caring what impact my words had.

“I promise,” he said in a soft voice.

“And if you’re going to look out for me then don’t you dare tell me that I can’t do the same for you,” I said as I put his hand on my chest and clutched it almost too tightly. He pulled his hand away from my chest and lifted it to his lips with my hands on it. He pressed his lips to my hands.

“Okay,” he said in a soft voice before he held the side of my face and brought his head down.

My heart was beating fast as he angled his face to kiss me. I closed my eyes and felt his lips on mine. His kiss was warm, soft and calming. I didn’t even realize when I slowly brought a hand up and held his neck as his tongue sought mine. His kiss was everything I had thought it would be. I was melting in his arms, and I knew that he knew it too.

Chapter 5

Needless to say, date night was ruined. I spent the better part of what was supposed to be my date cleaning up the glass and the blood. I felt my stomach churn when I cleaned up what looked like flesh. I found myself wondering what exactly had happened to the three men. Had Vincent eaten them? Or what exactly had happened? A tired Vincent walked up behind me and held my hand

“I’ll do that. You go ahead and get cleaned up,” he said. I looked at him and then at what I thought were pieces of flesh. “No, don’t.” He held my chin and turned me away from the mess to look into my eyes. I began walking away before I turned around and looked at him. He was in a pair of shorts and nothing else. He had a few blood smudges on him.

“What about you?” I asked as I looked at him. “Are you okay?” He nodded.

“I’m fine. I didn’t have any serious cuts and the bullets were not exactly fatal. I’m more worried about you.” He took my hands and looked at the cuts I got from the broken glass.

“I’m fine. It’s mostly superficial,” I said in a small voice.

“I heal, Winnie. You don’t,” he said as he looked at me. “Go get cleaned up. I’ll come check up on you in a moment,” he added authoritatively. I shook my head, but he held my face in his hands again. “Baby, please do this for me.” My heart softened when he said that and I knew that I was fighting a losing battle.

I made my way to my room and walked to the bathroom. I turned on the tap and held my hands under the running water, wincing a little when I felt the water hit the open wounds. I was not sure how long I hand been standing there with my hands under the running water when Vincent walked into the room. He made his way to the bathroom and looked at me.

“Hey,” he said when he walked in. I looked at my hands and then turned off the water. He looked at me and then at my hands. “I’m so sorry,” he said in a soft voice. I shook my head.

“Don’t.” I looked at him and he nodded.

“Got any bandages?” I shook my head.

He looked into my eyes for a minute and then suddenly took me into his arms. I shrieked as he carried me out of the room and then down the hall. I wanted to ask where we were going but when we started going upstairs, I knew exactly where we were going. He carried me to his room and then straight to the bathroom. He sat me on the cold tile of the bathtub and then walked to the medicine cabinet. He came back holding a first aid kit and knelt in front of me.

“I’m sorry, Winnie. But this is going to sting,” he said as he poured some antiseptic on a cotton swab.

He took one of my hands and swabbed it. I gasped silently as he did the same for my other hand before he put a bandage on each palm. He then looked at me and then reached for a towel and wet it. He dabbed it on my shoulder and elbow before he used it to clean himself off.

“You don’t have any wounds,” I said when he wiped off the blood on his shoulder.

“The wounds were mostly superficial. I didn’t have anything too deep like last time,” he said.

“Last time…” I started before he got up and lifted me off to stand in front of me. I was breathing hard as I took a step forward.

“I don’t really want to talk about last time,” he said as he moved closer to me. “Or tonight,” he added in a soft voice. He looked at me and held my hips. “I just want to be here, with you.” By this time, he was whispering.

I looked up at him and parted my lips as he brought his head down to kiss me. He brought his lips close to me, so close I could feel his warm breath on my cheek. I sighed into his mouth when he finally kissed me. The kiss was deeper than the one we had shared earlier. One of his hands was behind my head holding me steady as he pressed his mouth into mine. He pulled away and looked at me for a minute before he led me into the bedroom. He looked at my now stained dress before he looked into my eyes.

“I’m sorry about tonight,” he said as he looked at me. I shook my head.

“It’s okay,” I said in a soft voice.

He reached behind me and slowly pulled my zipper down before he slipped the dress off my shoulders. I felt myself blush when the dress fell, gathering around my ankles. It was like I had flower petals all around my ankles. I felt self-conscious standing there in my underwear. I had not been so insufficiently dressed in front of any man in ages.

“God, you’re beautiful,” he whispered as he leaned forward and began kissing my neck.

I closed my eyes and moaned as I felt him kissing me, and running his lips up and down my neck. I gasped when he reached behind me and undid the clasp of my bra, in one swift motion. I looked at him and gasped when he threw me down on the bed. He got on the bed and kissed my neck slowly working his way down to my chest. I was breathing hard as I felt his lips getting closer and closer to my nipple. I raised my head to look down at him but I had hardly set eyes on him when I suddenly laid back and moaned softly. My nipple was in his mouth and he was sucking hard and circling his tongue around my hardness.

I shivered when he began caressing my other nipple gently. He pulled away from my already distended nipple and I breathed my relief, but it was short lived because he took the other one into his mouth and sucked hard. I arched my back and thrust more of myself into his mouth.

He was taking his time, marveling at every inch of me. He pulled away and began tracing his kisses down my tummy. He paused when he got to my waist and slipped two fingers into my panties and then pulled them down. He got off the bed and pulled my panties off before he spread my legs. I was breathing hard and fast as he got on the bed and knelt in between my legs. He slowly caressed my thighs before he lowered his head to gently kiss the soft sensitive skin on my inside thigh. Staying still had to be the hardest thing I had to do at that moment. My core was hot and wet, ready for him to take me. Ready for him to dominate me. I could feel him getting closer and closer to my pussy. I had never wanted anyone as much as I wanted him at that moment.

I suddenly cried out and felt every muscle of my body tense up when he engulfed me with his mouth. He was kissing my nether regions the very same way he would kiss my mouth and I was shivering. He put a hand on my tummy and struggled to keep me down as he kissed me and pushed his tongue into me. I grabbed fistfuls of the bedding and moaned as he dipped his tongue into me over and over, pushing me to the edge. I could almost feel myself about to let go.

“Vincent…” I moaned as he pulled away from me.

He brought his head up and kissed me deeply. I could taste myself on his lips. He pulled away from me and I watched as he pushed his shorts off and then pulled the top drawer of the nightstand to get a condom. I looked up at him as he bit one end of the film packaging before tearing off one end. I was breathing hard as he rolled the condom on. I raised my head and that was when I actually saw him. He was huge. I immediately felt fear go through me and it was like he noticed.

“Do you want me to stop?” he asked. I shook my head.

“It’s just been a while,” I said as I looked at him.

“I would never hurt you,” he said as he looked at me. “Understand me?” I nodded as he guided his cock into my opening. I gasped when I felt the head of his cock slip into me. He looked down at me. “Are you okay?” he asked, looking worried. I nodded and held his face.

“Kiss me,” I said. He brought his head down and kissed me deeply as he began pushing into me.

I gasped again and he pulled back and began playing on my opening for a while. He suddenly forced his tongue into my mouth as he filled me with his length. I exhaled into his mouth as he pulled back and pushed back in. I involuntarily dug my fingernails into his back. I was moaning as I felt him stretching me out. He was filling my every fold as he moved in and out of me. Each stroke was longer than the last and each thrust was harder and stronger. I could feel him coming apart all around me. I buried my face in his shoulder as he went on working himself in and out of me.

Without realizing it, he was thrusting hard, slamming his hips against me. I was surprised that I was able to accommodate his length so well. He was sinking deep inside me, fucking me harder and harder. I suddenly wrapped a leg around his waist allowing him to get deeper inside me.

“Vincent…oh God, Vincent,” I moaned as I began shaking underneath him.

“Let go, baby,” he said as he thrust harder into me.

I needed no second bidding. I cried out as I felt myself coming apart all around him. He never slowed down. He went on thrusting until I couldn’t take it anymore. He slowed down and then stopped. He raised his head and looked down at me.

“You…you made me cum,” I said as I looked at him.

“Yes, I did, and I’m glad I did too. I wasn’t sure I would,” he said.

“Really?” I asked as I looked at him. I couldn’t believe he was saying that.

“It’s not every day you a beautiful lady finds out her boss is a wolf.” I looked at him as the moonlight began shining into the room casting onto his face. I noticed his features begin to change, his face getting all wolf-like again. I held one side of his face.

“It doesn't matter what you are. All that matters...” my words trailed off when he thrust into me. I rolled us over, getting myself on top of him. The moonlight was now on me and he was changing back to his human form. He held my hips and began thrusting into me. I could feel another orgasm approaching fast. I cried out as I felt myself unraveling and he groaned as he emptied himself into me. I smiled when he playfully howled at the moon.

“All that matters is that you’re mine,” I said, panting. He pulled me down and held me tightly as we both shivered in the wake of our violent orgasms.
