“No, I suppose not,” she said with a small sigh. “It’s just that I wish you’d all spoken to us about it before making plans, that’s all.”

Aitan lifted her face up to meet his and kissed her tenderly on her soft lips. He was going to have to leave her tomorrow and was obviously determined not to depart on a bad note.

“You’re right. I guess we didn’t think it through properly. I’m sorry. I promise we won’t make any more decisions without talking to you women first.” He pouted thoughtfully.

She smiled up at him. Aitan would never do or say anything to hurt her on purpose, she was sure of that.

“Thank you,” she whispered before nibbling at his bottom lip. She felt him smile. Her tongue licked at his lip and he opened his mouth to invite her in. Gently, she ventured in, slowly tasting him, until he evidently couldn’t wait any longer and plunged his tongue into her mouth, where she felt him devouring her with passion.

They were both naked, as usual, and their hands glided over each other’s hot bodies as they kissed. Ligia felt a gush of liquid escape her pussy and gasped into his open mouth. Desperate for some friction, she wrapped her legs around his, rubbing her wet pussy against his muscular thigh.

“I love you, my beautiful fiancée,” he murmured into her ear as he trailed kisses around her slender neck.

She smiled. That sounded so lovely.

“I love you too,” she whispered into his manly, thick chest.

She took his nipple in her mouth and sucked hard. Her reward was a gasp as his breath hitched. Taking the nipple between her teeth she nipped at it, while her hands ran up and down his massive biceps. She could feel his cock harden against her leg and she smiled at the effect she was obviously having on him.

“I think you should roll over, darlin’, so I can see that beautiful butt of yours,” he commanded in a voice thick with lust.

Giggling, she quickly complied. She brought her knees up under her, presenting him with her perfectly round ass.

Aitan couldn’t resist giving it a couple of quick swats before rubbing his hands over her soft globes. Her surprised gasp was followed by a satisfied sigh as she melted into his warm caress.

“I don’t think I can hold out much longer,” he whispered into her ear, as one hand came around and fondled her breast, while the other ran up and down her ass.

“Nor me,” she breathed back at him.

“Hold on tight, baby!”

She clutched the soft leaf which served as a bed cover as his enormous cock ripped into her dripping pussy. He gave her a moment to adjust to his size, before beginning his loving assailment on her luscious body. His cock was already dripping as he glided in and out of her welcoming hole, sending shivers through her body. As she quivered beneath him she felt the fire burn within her and her mind turned to mush as she rose higher and higher in ecstasy.

“Come on, darlin’, come for me!” he coaxed her in a thick, sultry tone.

“Aitan!” She screamed his name as his voice tipped her over the edge and she saw colors swim in front of her eyes as she came.

There was a loud grunt as he followed her into their private world of exaltation.

His heaving body slumped onto hers as she sank down into the bed. They were both panting as sweat rolled down their sated bodies. Quickly, he rolled to one side, evidently aware of his weight on her slender frame. Although she welcomed the cool air which breezed over her inflamed skin, she felt suddenly bereft at the loss. As he rolled onto his back she snuggled into his side, anxious to stay in close contact with his skin.

He chuckled and cuddled her in his strong arms, kissing the top of her head. Ligia sighed in contentment. This was all that mattered. There was nothing else in the world but this.

The morning found both couples exhausted, but for entirely different reasons.

“It is only a meeting today, isn’t it?” Ligia queried as she served them all breakfast on the grass outside their huts.

“Yep. Dr. Jay’s taking some of the men to the bank to discuss the financial possibilities and we’re going to speak to the electric board at the same time. Meanwhile, Farris is taking some of the men to speak to one of the big contracting companies to sort out what exactly needs to be done to get the power over here, and how long it’ll all take,” Rechavia confirmed, munching on some flatbread.

“I hope it won’t take too long. I want it all in place before the wedding,” Aitan added. “That way we can party all night if we want to.” He winked at Ligia, who offered him a dazzling smile in return. They hadn’t really discussed the wedding since his mother had voiced her opinion, and Ligia didn’t quite know how to broach the subject. She really wanted to marry him but wouldn’t stand between him and his family. At least, with all these plans afoot, Aitan’s mind had been taken off the subject for a while.
Giving me time to think it through.

“Are all the men going today?” Kalliope queried, as they joined the throng of islanders heading for the
harbor
.

“No, Marinos and Blandon will be staying behind,” Rechavia replied. “Someone has to keep you women in check.” He winked at her but she wasn’t in a happy mood.

There were hugs all around as the men climbed aboard the large ship, each carrying food hampers which the women had lovingly made up for them. They had named the new ship
The
Refrainian
after the island, and it was the sailors’ pride and joy.

Ligia almost cried when Aitan held her. It felt like he would never let go, and that was just what she wanted.

The Refrainian
pulled out of the
harbor
, laden with flowers and sailors, as the women waved them off from the shore.

“I can’t help hoping their meetings don’t go so well. I can’t tell Aitan, but I’d hate it if they did go ahead with this electricity thing.”

“You
should
tell him, Ligia. I’ve told Rech I don’t want it. I told you before, you need to stand up for yourself.”

“I know. I just don’t want to hurt his feelings. I’m gonna miss him today. At least we know they won’t take too long to get there in that ship,” Ligia said with a sigh as a group of the girls started making their way back to the huts.

“I still don’t get why they all had to go,” Ademia grumbled. She was a very pretty, large blonde girl, who lived in a ménage relationship with Dr. Jay and Farris.

“I suppose it’s worse for you, as
both
your men have gone,” Ligia replied, linking arms with her.

Ademia smiled. “Not really. They’ll be back before tonight, and, anyway, who says we have to work all day? I’m sure they won’t mind if we take the day off, will they?”

She had heard of the concept of a “day off” from a recent visit to the mainland, and was quite taken by the idea.

“Well, now you mention it, my house is already quite spotless, and I’m sure Rech won’t notice if I don’t do any more to it today,” Kalliope said with a grin.

“I’ll get the chores done at the big house,” Melantho told Ademia. “You three go and enjoy yourselves.”

“Oh no, either we all do or none of us do,” Ademia replied, “We’re in this together, sister.”

Melantho giggled. She was such a hard worker, she wouldn’t usually dream of taking a day off. “Well, only if you’re sure?”

“We insist,” Ligia informed her with a laugh.

“Who’s for a swim off Destiny Rock?” Kalliope shouted to the crowd behind them.

Cheers and whoops filled the air and the girls ran across the island to the causeway, chattering and laughing as they went.

The sun was rising fast and it was a gloriously hot day. The girls only wore bikinis on the island, so they were all quite prepared for a dip in the cool sea. They splashed and swam, jumping in and out of the water, and sunbathing on the smooth rocks.

“So much for these hardworking women!” Marinos laughed as he and Blandon took in the sight of the beautiful ladies playing in the deep, green water.

“Come and join us,” Melantho called over to them. She and Blandon had become quite close lately. They were both shy and quiet, and had helped each other to overcome their nerves about speaking to each other. They were a well-matched pair. He was concerned that she seemed a little reticent sometimes, though, and was biding his time before approaching her for a more physical relationship.

“OK.” Blandon didn’t need asking twice, and leapt from the rock, dive-bombing into the sea next to her. She squealed in delight and splashed water over him.

Some of the girls started to make their way back to their huts after a while. Ademia was among them.

“I daren’t stay out in the sun too long,” she said with a grin. “Jay’ll kill me if he finds out!” Poor Ademia was very fair and had suffered very badly from sunstroke recently.

Ligia sat up from where she was sunbathing on the flat boulder and waved to her friend as she made her way back across the causeway. She turned to look at the beautiful vista.

“There’s a ship,” she cried, pointing.

Red flags warned sailors of the submerged rocks around the island, but there was a small
harbor
around the other side of Refrainia where ships could safely moor up and afford their crews some respite from the long voyage between mainlands. Often, the crew would be carrying interesting cargo which they would trade for the flowers, fruit, and vegetables which only grew on the island. Some of the islanders had managed to acquire linen, crockery and all sorts of knickknacks this way.

“Marinos, look!” Kalliope called to the sailor who was sitting on the rock below them. He stood and signaled to Blandon, who immediately climbed out of the water and stood beside him.

“Do you think it’s going to dock?” Ligia shouted over to the sailors.

Marinos nodded. “It’s certainly headed this way,” he confirmed. “Come on, Blandon, we’d better meet it at the
harbor
.”

The men set off to meet the crew and help them moor up the massive ship.

“It’s even bigger than our new vessel,” Blandon exclaimed as it neared the island. There were certainly a large number of men on board, many of whom gawped at the two sailors in disbelief.

“There are people here, captain,” they heard one man yell.

Some of the girls wandered down to the
harbor
to welcome the travelers.

“There are women too!” someone shouted, pointing.

“What the…?” A man in his late twenties or early thirties leaned over the bow of the ship, shielding his eyes from the bright sun. He turned back to the men on his ship. “Must be marooned here. Perhaps they’re stowaways,” he surmised.

“Pretty stowaways, captain,” one man replied, leering at the women.

“Throw down your rope,” Marinos shouted, as he and Blandon prepared to help with the docking of the enormous vessel.

Soon, the men were disembarking the huge ship and studying the scene before them. There was a crowd of women standing around on the quayside, and they could see that the island comprised lots of greenery and some small huts. Up on a hill stood a large house.

The captain of the ship approached the sailors with a frown. “How long have you been marooned here?” he asked, eyeing their attire. The men wore shorts, while the women were all in bikinis, some with shawls draped over them.

“Oh, we’re not marooned here,” Marinos replied with a chuckle, “we live here. This is our home.”

“Impossible. No one lives on islands anymore,” another man jeered.

We
do.” Marinos wasn’t keen on being called a liar.

“They’ve got boats!” another man said, spying the little fishing boats moored up by the rocks.

“How did you get here?” the captain asked suspiciously.

“What’s it got to do with you?” Marinos was getting really angry now. He hadn’t encountered such animosity from passing crews before. Usually they were only too happy to see people residing on the island and accepted their hospitality graciously.

“Hold your tongue, lad!” One of the men emerged from the crowd and pulled out a gun. He pointed it at Marinos.

There was a collective gasp from the girls, who started edging back toward the huts.

“Nobody move!” the man with the gun shouted.

The girls stopped and gaped at him.

“Now, look here.” Marinos tried to cajole the man.

The gun went off and Marinos sunk to the ground with a yell, clutching his arm. Blandon bent down to help his friend as blood poured onto the sand.

“Do you want the same?” The man with the gun now pointed it at him.

Blandon shook his head and stood upright. Marinos groaned in agony.

“Why don’t we all calm down?” the captain said. “Who’s in charge here?”

“Well, we all are,” Blandon explained.

“Where’s your captain?”

“We don’t have a captain on the island. He told you, we live here.”

“Right, well by my reckoning, as the only captain here, I guess that makes
me
in charge, eh lads?” the man grimaced as his crew cheered behind him.

“Never any doubt, captain,” one of the men shouted up.

“Right. Glad that’s settled. Now, why don’t you women go and prepare some food for me and my crew? Oh, and you can get him cleaned up an’ all.” The captain kicked Marinos, causing him to yelp. Hebe and Naida were the first of the girls to move. They ran back up the island.

“You warn the others, I’ll get some food on,” Hebe urged her friend. As soon as they were out of sight, Naida ran across to the other side of the island and over the causeway.

“What happened?” Ligia asked her friend as she ran toward them.

“Sounded like a big bang,” Kalliope offered.

Naida nodded, panting. “Men. Th–they’ve got guns. One of them shot Marinos in the arm.”

“Get back, girls, we’ve got to keep out of sight,” Ligia urged the women. They all made their way back across Destiny Rock and hid in a large cave.
