This handy hanging caddy is great for organizing an entryway, craft space, or home office. With so many ways to customize the size, shape, and pockets, you’ll have fun coming up with new designs for different uses. To hold bulkier small stuff, try adding a row of pleated pockets. Tie the caddy to the back of a chair or hang it up on some funky hooks. You decide!

 

OUR FINISHED SIZE:
17" × 14", four 10½" straps

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

½–⅜ yard of fabric for the caddy body

½ yard of fabric for the pockets

⅛ yard of fabric for the ties

1½ yards of ¼" or ½" double-fold bias tape (optional)

Decide your size

Cut your fabric

Make the ties

Make the pockets

Stitch the sides

Add the ties and finish the top edge

Measure and Cut

DECIDE YOUR SIZE
. How much room do you have to hang your caddy? How many pockets would you like and what kind? We made three different pocket styles on our caddy to show some variety. You can choose one, two, or all three of these styles to create the perfect configuration for your needs.

CUT YOUR FABRIC
. Draw the pieces on the wrong side of the fabric and cut out the following:
